Since trying their breakfast gyro we've been back with friends several times! I finally got to try the lambeaux and it was SO GOOD! The lamb is cooked down and is so tender and juicy. I love their tzatziki sauce and the whipped feta pairs nicely with the lamb. It is a bit messy (kinda like eating a juicy roast beef poboy) so make sure you grab some napkins! On my last trip I got the lamb gyro and it's just as delicious as everything else I've had. The food is cooked to order so it takes a little bit of time but it's well worth it. After a hike at CP, we wanted something at least healthy adjacent. A quick search of the area offered few places open with vegetarian options, but S&M had quite a few. I had the Lauren's Epplant sandwich, and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Filling, but not heavy. Very flavorful. I'd likely ask for no honey drizzle next time bc it's kid of messy. But... I'm going to be thinking about this sandwich for weeks! We also had the marinated beets. Forgot to order with whipped feta. But they really didn't need anything else. So tasty! I loved that warm pita bread, it so comforting. I ordered it with chicken, the flavors are so good and I enjoyed that there were seasoned (I call them Rally's fries) inside the pita. Since I live in the neighborhood, I've been here several times for both lunch and dinner. We (2 adults and one 15 yo) stopped in for dinner last night and I felt compelled to finally leave a review, because the whole experience was just wonderful. We started with a tomatotini and green goddess cocktail, the green goddess cocktail was so refreshing! We split the olives & Dolmades, the spread eagle, marouli salad, and keftedes. Jewish and Greek soul food alongside an incredible coffee program!? If there ever was a perfect spot... We went to brunch on Sunday and had a really great experience. The friendly person at the counter answered all of our questions, made suggestions, and took our order--accommodating all of our requests and modifications. Something on the menu for all of us that we were excited about (we have vastly different diets with a pescatarian sister, paleo person, gluten free, etc.) One of our coffees was out even before we finished paying! The space is small with a nice lay out. It's cute but down to earth inside--we loved all the different uses of Greek busts we saw around. We immediately sat at a table next to the window (it was rather tall and our legs were dangling on the booth side)--I love the counter service and seat yourself model, especially for lunch/bunch. I'm seriously in love...this was my first time visiting and this place combines two of my favorite things - Greek Food and Jewish Deli food!!!! What's not to love right!? Cute little yellow building so you can't miss it on the prettiest tree line street and parking wasn't too bad at all. There's plenty of street parking and a little dirt lot around the corner. This is their soft opening weeks so there was a bit of a line outside but it was totally worth the absolutely short wait (literally was only like 10 mins). Ambiance first and then I'll tell you all about the food. It's small and sweet but actually pretty spacious inside with the coolest wooden bar to sit at, some high top tables and cute little table nooks. There was some beautiful hand painted artwork on the wall as well. If you like food and fresh air, there's a really beautiful patio area outside in front and on the side of the building if you like your eats Al fresco . Ok now for the good stuff...#1 I got the Balls in a Bowl aka their Matzo Ball Soup. The broth was deeeeep..like deep as the ocean in flavor deep. The Matzo was HUGE and packed with Jewish grandma goodness. This thing will cure any bourbon street hangover. #2 I got their Village Salad - a true Greek Goddess of a Salad on a plate with a plethora of fresh seasonal tomatoes, thick cucumbers, marinated red onions, olive oil, herbs and a block of feta loveliness served with fresh pita. It's a perfect share starter. #3 I got the Gryo Platter with Pork per the employees recommendation vs Chicken or Veggie and let me tell you it DID NOT disappoint. Juicy chucks of slow roasted flavorful pork, fresh homemade tzatziki, tomato/cucumber/onion salad, fresh pita and a side of seasoned fried - it's definitely a huge bang for your buck and you HAVE to get a side of their whipped feta because it goes amazing with their fries. It's a dip that dreams are made of. Bottom line as a newbie on the block, this is the new kid at school that you will definitely want to be friends because they'll put you in the best mood ever and you'll leave your play dates with a smile.
