Have a wedding coming up and wanted to get my nails done. I've struggled with finding a good nail place because of how particular I am with how my nails look the day after and especially the week after they have been done. Tried my luck in googling for a highly rated nail salon with honest reviews and ended up choosing to go to The Muse Nails. I am writing this review after having gotten my nails done yesterday afternoon. This nail salon is located in the busy center of Hingham with parking right out front. My sister, cousin and myself all made appointments to get a manicure. I got dip extensions with a sparkly "almost" French tip and individually placed crystals for each finger. I have never gotten dip or extensions before and the nail tech was incredibly patient with answering all my questions and concerns. I was floored by how stunning my nails looked when he was done. Absolutely a work of art. I can't stop admiring his work. All the edges of my nails are smooth and the same height as my other hand. Just perfection. My sister got dip extensions with some swirls and they turned out even better than what she imagined. Vanna suggested adding sparkles and it was gorgeous when she added the finishing touches! My cousin got a regular manicure with different colors for a more eccentric, but chic look. Again, her tech suggested picking different colors from what she initially chose. Pinks over nudes and the color scheme complimented her skin tone so much more. I can't say enough besides the fact the nail techs here know exactly what they're doing and their opinions/advice on what you want to get are so helpful and well thought out. I will be coming back for sure! The service and work is arguably one of the best I've had in a very long time. I wash my hands a lot at work due to being a nurse and call me impressed. My cuticles still look fabulous and my nails are STUNNING! Compliments galore. What a win finding this place! read more

This is just one of the best places to go and get your nails done. Jennie is absolutely amazing.! She actually cares whether or not you like your nails. I have short nails and sometimes they pop off or break and she will fix it with no questions asked. Her mom does the pedicures and I cannot even begin to explain how good she does. Pay the extra money and get the polish that does not chip on your toes. It is worth it and will last for weeks on end. It is clean and friendly. It is a little pricey, but if you want quality service you pay for it. Highly recommend. read more

The Muse Nails is a fantastic find in Hingham. I arranged a party of 7 women to go there last Saturday for a friend's birthday celebration, and all of them have gotten a lot of mani-pedis at many other places. They told me afterwards that it was the best experience that each of them had ever had. The Muse had seven nail technicians working and all of them were excellent. As outstanding as the mani-pedis were, what was equally fantastic was the customer service and how much the owner Vincent did to ensure that they were comfortable. I was so intrigued that I went there for a pedicure a few days later. Karen worked on my feet, and it was fantastic. She was careful, detail-oriented, and she took her time. I've had enough pedicures to know that the technician can do a great job cutting and manicuring your toenails, but you can still walk away feeling dissatisfied. When someone like Karen goes the extra mile to do a thorough massage, well, you leave feeling like you're walking on a cloud. Today I had an appointment with Jennie. I found this one of my worst experiences getting a manicure. She rushed getting the top coat of dip power off of my nails. So much so, that there was too much friction and heat. I had to ask her to slow down. I found it unsanitary in that she used the same nail clippers and emery board on the customer before me and never cleaned her equipment before using it again. When she started, she never cut the cuticles. I asked her why not. She said we don't do that with dip powder. Other salons do this. Another factor is, after applying the dip powder, and grinding it down, she did not have me wash my hands. She just applied the top coat. If you're looking for a quality nail salon, this is not the place. I've been going to nail salons for over six years for dip powder. This has been the worst experience I've had. read more
