Having enjoyed manicures since I was 15 I know what I like and how it should be done. And boy do I hate having to find a new nail place.. Fortunately, The Nail Lounge didn't disappoint! I called in for pricing (some places charge men more, others less and I've even been to places that make up a price as you check out) and availability. I was told there would be a technician available upon arrival. Sure enough, I signed in and was promptly seated. My tech didn't give her name, or wear a name badge, but was very friendly and immediately offered me a cold water or a complementary glass of wine. I opted for the cucumber water. Very refreshing! While the manicure took place I enjoyed watching "Taken" on the large TV with Closed Captions on and sipped on my water. I noticed the equipment was sterilized and in separate sealed bags for each customer - mega points! Ultimately, the work was done satisfactorily though at appointment time and at closing I did request a "buff to a shine" service. Unfortunately, I don't think my tech understood as she basically double checked my nails, buffed the nails and added some lotion. Alas, no shine.. but it was ok. Since the staff was great, place is beautiful, and did I mention the wine bar, I will definitely return. read more

UPDATE: I have an infected cuticle. My pedicure was great. Cindy was my nail tech and she was very sweet and personable. She's a doll. My nail artist on the other hand was something else. I never got her name. She had a small red tattoo on the left side of her chest. It started off ok but it took a turn as soon as she felt it was more important for her to dust off HERSELF of acrylic drillings before her client...I literally sat there in shock for over a minute. On what planet does the tech ensure that they are free of debris before their client? The tools and brushes were dirty. I don't know how else to say it. They were not clean. She used a dirty brush to put cuticle oil on my nails prior to airbrushing them...THEN rather than using acetone to clean up her work, she told me the remnants would come off in the shower. That's a joke right? I thought she was joking. She wasn't. She handed me my ticket and I never saw her again. WOW. Such an absolutely terrible experience and I would not ever recommend this salon to anyone. Also, upon entering it has the smell of moth balls and that scent can be associated with a critter problem. Very rude manager named Brian!!! I went in to have nail fixed where the gel had cracked. He told me to come back in 2 hours and seemed annoyed by what I needed... this after spending 55$ on a pedicure. I said I would come back the tomorrow. When I came back he was really rude like I was asking for something impossible!! He just walked to the back and didn't let me know if anyone could fix it. I started to record him on my phone... It was more expensive than most places in AZ but I thought they did a good job. Second time was right around 2 weeks from the first and got my nails done for my bday/friend coming in tomorrow. Less than a week and my nail is lifting and cracked and I don't have time to get fixed. That should not happen after less than a week. Seems they use cheap supplies and are way over priced for that. Now I will likely have ugly nails for my bday and will need to go back in somewhere else. Spent like 200 on nails (including pedi) and eyebrow and lip wax over last 2 visits. This place isn't just spotless, they are incredibly attentive to your needs and it is run by a phenomenal couple. My father has late stage Alzheimer's. The husband of the owner, Quinn, helped my father in and out of the car and into his massage chair. My dad lives in a nursing home, so this was quite the project getting him out and spoiled. The staff gave him the royal treatment! Handing him waters and replacing with fresh ones when he was finished. Everyone was so empathetic. We literally couldn't have gotten my father's feet and nails done without Quinn's help. The manicurist was so patient and kind. I will 100% come here again and recommend anyone to come to this salon. Went with my mother-in-law, granddaughter and daughter, we all had gel nails done, it's been 2 weeks and the majority of my polish is gone, peeled right off after starting to chip after a few days. My daughters and granddaughters are also chipped and peeling. It was applied very quickly and not the normal time and attention given. The shape of my nails was inconsistent and my cuticles hurt from the trimming, also I have hangnail's which I've never, ever had. My mother-in-law had tiny bubbles on several of her nails. We were churned through like cattle, the service was rushed and yes, I had called the day prior to make a reservation for 4. They also had us wait 30 minutes and separated us! Awful service, our nails were done poorly. I'm not sure if it's the product or if they are trained to do a poor job but, we won't be back. Also, they tried to upsell and use pushy tactics. Look, we're getting our nails done, your painting nails and toes and already getting paid way too much. However, the prices have gone up for services. I decided to take my business else where. L' Posh nails is up the street from here and I have been twice. Quality service and a great atmosphere. To my surprise Serena was now working there. Anyone looking for her, that is where she can be found. She has been my mail tech off and on for 3 years. Update 4-9 Katie is amazing! She listened to exactly what I wanted . She has real skill for what she does. I went in and talked to the manager/owner and he set me up with Katie. Very nice and accommodating . Told me they have a week guarantee on their work so if there are any issue to let them know. To avoid problems I will set up future appts with Katie . Don't understand why my nails are already cracking and lifting . After spending $45 . I usually don't have an issue with this place . I went there for a pedicure only and really enjoyed it, but while in the middle of my pedicure and massage Vee had to keep getting up and attending to the needs of the front desk. The most disappointing and worst nail experience I have ever had. I went in on Saturday for a dip manicure and a gel pedicure. By Sunday my dip manicure already had crackling. By Tuesday a crack in one nail and by Wednesday 2 cracked, broken, bloody nails. Mind you, I told Alex who did my nails I am hard on my nails and needed him to do his best job! When I called in to see what they could offer all they said was come in and we'll fix it. That's great, but my fingers are bleeding and there's no ownership to a crappy job that didn't last even 24 hours. I had them remove the nails because of how uncomfortable and painful they were. I have huge cuts across the nails and they're inflamed, red and sore. They spoke about me while I was there to have them removed and didn't offer ANYTHING for the nails that lasted 12 hours. 12 HOURS. If you're looking to waste money this is the place to go!!!! read more
