This was my first time at Nail Spa. I needed to get my nails done for a friend's wedding the next day and was in a rush, so decided to stop by here and get a French manicure while I was out running errands nearby. My nails turned out okay and I was careful with trying not to mess them up. But by the next morning I already saw some of the color falling off and by the end of the night, it looked terrible and the polish on my left hand was a mess or just gone.

I am still on my quest to find a great go-to nail salon and have yet to find a place that is good enough to return to. Today I decided to give this place a try since the reviews are mostly good. This was another so-so experience, unfortunately. I came in right after the salon opened at 10am. There was one other person who was getting a pedicure. I was greeted (if you could call it that) by Cindy, who told me to sit down while she got someone to work on my nails. She was more interested in what was on TV, I think. My nail tech's name was Emily. She proceeded to soak off the dipping powder I had on my own real nails, but instead of getting all of it off, she was rather impatient and filed off the majority of it which damaged my real nails. I had just told her that I was trying to keep my real nails in good shape, but that didn't seem to matter. I got all of my real nails dipped and then she filed them. She cut into the cuticle of one of my nails which was pretty painful. My biggest concern is that she pulled out tools that were used (sanding blocks, nail files, and metal tools that appeared to be dirty) and did not use a new nail file, dremel head, or sanding block. I'm hoping I won't get fungus! My nails look acceptable, but the edges are pretty ragged. No lotion was offered or applied, which is a shame since my hands were obviously dry from the chemicals. I was not able to get hot water from the sink when I washed my hands, either. Not a wonderful experience. I was there for almost two hours!I won't be back to this nail salon. I have attached photos of the ragged edges of my nails; note I need to find some cuticle oil to help repair the sanding damage...

I went to my usual nail salon first, but they were too crowded. So, I decided to give The Nail Spa a try since it was around the corner. It's not fancy at all. I was seated quickly for my pedicure and handed a menu. I chose the 'green tea' I believe. The water was filled with fruit. Hmmm.... Several lotions, potions, and scrubs were applied to my legs/ankles/feet. Now, the paraffin wax was scalding hot!!! They need to do a better job of getting the temp hot enough, but not too hot. It was unbearable for both my hands and feet. The leg massage was nice. Pedicure lasted 1 1/2 hours. Yes! Now, what I have noticed and I do NOT like at all here in TX - doing my manicure while I'm sitting in the pedicure chair. Back at home, your pedicure is completed. THEN, you go nail table for the manicure. The manicurist was chatting loudly with the lady doing the pedicure and everybody else in the place. This was NOT relaxing. Fortunately, I typically bring headphones to drown them out. She did move me to a nail table once it was time to actually paint my nails. They offered me bottled water several times and seemed very appreciative of the tip I gave. She made a point of writing their names on a business card, unzipping my handbag, and making sure she placed the card inside. I may return due to the convenient location.

My first experience with this place was good. Cindy did my nails and it was great. So I decided to go for second time. But my today's experience was horrible. Cindy was busy so some other lady did my nails. It was hurting me and my nails turn out to be so bad. I don't know what to do with these nails now. I have attached the photos. These are right after my nails were done. I am soooooooo disappointed. After paying $40, you get this.

I was so disappointed coming here! The man who greeted me was very nice didn't know much but would tell me someone who knew better about nails would be right with me. The nail "technician's" were nice I guess the lady who tried to do my powder nails with almond shape red tips did a horrible job didn't get a pic. As I told her I didn't like them she kept putting on clear coat as if it was going to fix it. The lady who did my pedicure was ok I don't think $45 for French tips toes is worth it here. The pedi sucked didn't feel relaxed at all. As you can see the blue plastic jar ( 3rd pic) there is a plastic eating spoon in there that she used. Literally touched my foot with it and put it back in the jar so unsanitary. Everything in there was dusty. Everyone in there that was getting a service done seem to have a complaint. The man who greeted me was the only one who seem to care he was telling me they are going to fix it don't worry. I didn't want to wait anymore it was about to be 6:00pm and I got there at 4:00pm. Paid for my pedicure and left NEVER GOING BACK

I went to get a spa pedicure on Saturday August 8, 2015 with my sister. Everyone was real nice. However, I did not like having my nails done while I was getting my pedicure because it was hard to relax. I left satisfied, but later that evening my skin on both my legs and feet started itching and turned blotchy red. I applied ice to my feet, hydrocortisone, and took some Advil for the pain. As time progressed the pain started to get worse, blisters started to form, and the redness started spreading. I went to the doctor and he diagnosed me with cellulitis dermatitis. It is a bacterial skin infection that I picked up from an unclean pedicure tub. I brought this to the owners attention and of course she want to anything about it. I want people to know about this problem so it doesn't happen to someone else.

I called around 5:00 PM to ask about walk-in availability and was told to come in at 6:00 PM for a dip manicure and gel pedicure. Although I waited about 40 minutes before my services began--which I understood given the short notice--the experience went downhill from there. The pedicure was fine; I opted for the upgraded Signature pedicure and had no issues. Unfortunately, the manicure was extremely disappointing (see photos). The technician rushed through the service, cutting my fingers multiple times with their tools. My fingers bled during and after the manicure, and the pain persisted afterward. It was very clear the salon was closing at 7:00 PM, as the staff seemed eager to finish quickly. At one point, two technicians were working on my hands simultaneously, which only added to the rushed and careless outcome. The nails are uneven, crooked, poorly shaped, and noticeably different lengths. Because my cuticles and fingers are so sore, I'm unable to have them corrected elsewhere. I was especially disappointed given that I paid over $130 for both services. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable for the price and level of care expected.
