I'm only giving this place 2 stars because my pedicure wasn't terrible. I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure. Like I said, the pedicure was fine, although I've had much better. However, the manicure was terrible! First of all, the manicurist reeked of cigarette smoke. He was sloppy and unprofessional. Secondly, he BUTCHERED my cuticles. I think I had at least 6 fingers bleeding by the time he was done. I could have saved myself $50 and done a better job myself. I know I definitely wouldn't have mutilated my fingers like this guy did. Do not go here if you can help it. read more

Will never wast my time going back here. I was told there would be a 30 min wait which was no big deal. I left and came back and after Waiting 10 min they put me in a pedicure chair and I a waited a solid 40 min in the pedicure chair before I had to get up and ask if they were going to get to me soon. Then waited another 10 min before they finally did. At this point I ran out of time to get my manicure done also. Very disappointing and won't return. read more

By Sunday she and I were both missing at least three toes worth of polish. By Monday I only have one full toe left with polish and she only has two full toes of polish left. My first time here today. Made an appointment on a whim as I was getting ready to go out of town. Another girl with the same name as me came in after I did, claiming she had an appt at the same time. They took her before me. That turned me off a bit but I was patient. Finally I was sat at a pedi chair and the water was very cold and no jets. A sweet older woman came over and asked if the water was okay and immediately heated it up and turned the jets on for me. Then Jimmy came over and started my pedi. He was phenomenal. Very thorough and even asked if I "wanted a little sparkle to finish it off". Then I waited for my full set at a table with Tina. She was a good nail tech. You could tell she had been doing it a while. Honestly I am pleased with my nails. The design is cute and the prices were reasonable. If I could change 2 things about this place they would be: 1) have the nail techs not be on their phone half the time and 2) have my acrylics placed all the way at the top of my nail bed. Although they look cute at first glance, a few of them were so chiseled back that it looks like I'm due for a fill!!! I also wish more care was taken with my cuticles. They look pretty torn up. This was the worst experience I have had at any nail salon! I walked in requesting a fill. The lady by the name of Kim started to assist me. As she began to file down my nail she cuts me with a filing tool. We had a conversation about my nails and my request. She NEVER explained that you couldn't get a fill on dip powder. 1 and half hour later.... at this point all she's done is filed them over and over again she doesn't even shape them or filling them she begins to paint over them.. you can still see the bumps, scratches, dents and Un filled nail bed. I showed the worker next to her and he agreed by nodding that her work was bad!! He than says you can't fill nails if they've been dipped.. I asked, "why didn't anyone say anything before I sat here for an hour and half?" She calls over the manager who it was Tina.. I asked her why didn't anyone explain this to me? Now I've been sitting here almost 2 hours with nails that look so bad.. she begins to point fingers at Kim and says I'm sorry it's her fault. I mentioned maybe Kim is having a bad day, so as a manager it's not ok for you to point fingers at any of your employees.. she begins to tell me she refuses to help me. She said because I don't let her work with out talking she wasn't going to help me. I than requested to just have my nails soaked and removed she than said,"your going to stay sitting there because no one is going to help you!" I asked to speak to the owner or another manager and she said NO!! I asked for a business card and she said they're out!this place was unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional!!! when getting my nails done i asked for a simple design and when the nail tech couldn't do it we decided to just paint my nails blue and add gems. except for he painted over the white with blue but you can still see the white under the blue. the gems on my nails are uneven and the shape is horrific looking and the top coat that was added is extremely lumpy and looks incredibly unprofessional. all in all these nails were not worth the money i paid for them. this was an extremely disappointing experience. read more

I have been going here for pedicures for years. I have almost always been happy with my service. I recently, in the last year, started getting my facial waxes here too. Everyone who works here is nice and mostly experienced. Every once in awhile a get a newbie, but the more experienced techs usually give them reminders and keep them on track. My last visit I had an experience with a newbie, she was forgetting some steps and the experienced tech (which I've had several times before) reminded her of these steps, in non-English. The experienced tech just looked at me and shook her head, I mouthed thank you to her. It was still a very nice and pleasant experience. I missed them when they closed down for awhile and move to the other side of building. I was a little lost!! I go approx every 5-6 weeks as long as finances allow me to do so. read more

My wife talked me into getting a pedicure for the first time. The place was clean and the hygiene seemed good. However, sitting next to her and seeing how thorough they were with her pedicure (pre paint) I realized that the lady with mine was far sub par. She started 10 minutes after my wife started and finished at the same time. She spent most of the time turned around talking to her co workers. For the price, I couldn't be more disappointed. Much better than the last salon I as at. Prices were much better than I paid at my last salon I went to. Being from out of state, I've been trying to find a place that is friendly, convenient, efficient, and clean. Although I signed in with a fill my tech seemed rather annoyed I actually wanted a back fill (which consisted of new pink and white I'm assuming?). My nails were so grown out there wasn't a lot of white left and he just wanted to do a pink fill. It felt as though he was just hurried to get me in and out to move on to next client by wanting to do just pink. I take pride in my nails and if I'm paying for a service you need to give me what I want without being annoyed by it. Service didn't take very long, which was wonderful. I was disappointed in my no-chip mani. Starting with her sawing at my nails drawing blood, told her that hurt she said it wasn't her it was her nail file. Then it went downhill from there. My 10 year old daughter and I were placed on a waiting list due to a 30 minute wait. The front desk attendant assured us that we would receive a call when it was our turn. I received no call so I went back in and saw that 6 people were allowed to go before us. The attendant laughingly greeted us with "welcome back". We politely turned around and took our business else where. Bad business, possibly discriminatory. 7/29- the owners response to this review is an attempt to re-story my experience. Minimizing what happened doesn't change what occurred. I asked the attendant directly if he allowed others to go before us and he responded "yes" (review your video and audio again).The people who signed in after us were not appointments, they were walk-ins as well. We were assured he would call us. We waited in the surrounding area for over an hour for a call, only to find out we were never going to receive one. Businesses with good customer service acknowledges the customer's concerns. They then strive to improve Instead of writing an itemized rebuttal to reviews, attempting to minimize the customers negative experience . I've read through this businesses previous poor reviews and this seems to be a pattern of the manager. I advise you to put more effort into improvement and less time writing defensive responses to your unhappy customers. You have only reinforced my opinion of your poor customer service. This was my first time visiting this salon and I have to tell you it was the worst case of customer service that I have ever encountered. I waited outside with 5 other women - the salon opened after the posted noon opening - only one associate was on staff and did not speak to one customer. It took another 10 minutes for another associate to show up and then a receptionist showed up as well - well after the noon opening. Not one customer was greeted or spoken to - just told to sign up for services and still no one addressed a customer. One customer left before I did - then we were offered to start soaking but were not told how long it would be. Finally at 12:20 another gentleman associate showed up but was way too busy with his cell phone to even come to the front and start working. I have been visiting this salon for several years and after several bad experiences, I will be finding another. I was asked to wait about 30 minutes to which I said that was not a problem. After an hour and watching two walk-ins get sat before me, I decided to leave (this is the 3rd time I've left for this same reason). As they saw me walking out the told me to go ahead and sit down. I sat down and waiting another 10 minutes until the girl started working. She was incredibly rude and rushed through my service. I told her several times that she was pushing the nail drill really hard and it was burning but she didn't acknowledge it unless I pulled my hand away. In the end, she did a half-assed job of painting my nails and didn't do a top coat. She then told me to leave without allowing me to let them dry as they were closing. It's unfortunate one person can be rude and ruin it for the techs that are actually nice there. But as this was there front person, I have higher expectations. My mom and I recently had our nails done by Hana. First off, it is a beautiful and clean salon. It's bright and open. Hana is so sweet and she takes time to make sure everything is done perfectly. I have tried tons of salons in the area and never have found any place or any tech worth going back to see. I highly recommend Hana at The Nailery! She gave me the best gel manicure that I have ever had! My mom had a mani pedi and it was done beautifully as well. We will be back!! read more

Upstairs; horrible service from the nail staff, looks modern, but it's nasty and dirty, old nail polish, dirty towels, they dont pamper your feet, very small space, staff acts as if it's a sweat shop. 0 Stars!!! The horrific customer service I received today was unbelievable. I had to drive back to the salon to get the base coat removed as the two polish removers I had at home wouldn't remove it. Outside the base coat had a weird purple neon hue and felt like it was perhaps a gel base coat (I had a natural nail manicure 3 1/2 days before). Not only did the polish peel and chip on the 2nd day (I had been careful and no dishes even), the manicure had a weird color outside (neon purple). When I said I needed the base coat removed and that I wanted my money back, the "manager" on duty and the nail tech that did my manicure only spoke in their native tongue to each other and did not address me until I asked what they were talking about. The manager said she would not refund my money and that made me angry. When I expressed again that I wanted my money back, she said that I didn't have the right remover at home (I used two different kinds from home - both with acetone). She said a "natural nail manicure" should only last a day or two! I explained that I have never had this problem and have had hundreds of manicures. I said again that I wanted my money back! Then a rude customer came up and threw $20 at me and said I was ruining her experience (this is not an exclusive spa environment) and I said they had ruined my experience and it wasn't her business. This customer continued to stand in my "space" and stared at me!! The staff did NOTHING! This situation should have been diffused and instead the manager asked if I used a credit card. When I replied "yes", she said yet again - no refund. Really? Here's how it should have gone. If you have an upset or angry customer, just tell them the manager/owner will contact them.......this will diffuse the situation at the time and let the customer know that their concerns will be heard. If a customer confronts another customer - should the staff handle the situation? Clearly the staff needs training in customer service and conflict resolution as the situation could have gotten really out of hand! I did have enough sense not to talk anymore to the weird customer who just wanted to bully her way in. I would like to be contacted to discuss this as it was clear that they did not want to address my concerns with the dignity that I deserved! ------------------------------------Comment to reply from "Manager" of the Nailery: In response to the reply from Tan N: I wanted my money back because I could not get the base coat off my nails!! I have had hundreds of manicures and have never had problems changing the polish at home..........it was evident that a different base coat that affected the color and removability was used. NEVER had a base coat I couldn't get off at home. So, I had to take the time and gas money to drive back to get it removed. The fact that it chipped and peeled was secondary. Also, you might want to check and make sure the tools that are used are sterilized - she pulled the cuticle clippers from under her desk - at the time I wondered. Ask the nail tech that did my manicure how polite I was to her during the manicure and that I gave her a $4 tip on a $15 manicure (26.6%). When you ask for a manager and everyone just ignores you, it is frustrating and I did want to be addressed. Frustration escalates when people don't speak to you in English and talk between themselves in a foreign language. When asked what they are discussing, they ignore you. I do apologize for speaking too loudly (that was rude on my part), but I do defend that it was handled by the staff inappropriately. The point to all this: train staff to be more customer-service oriented and how to handle situations. They took a defensive and argumentative stand instead of addressing my concerns. read more

Terrible business with horrible customer service. I had an appointment at 10:00 am (when they open) to get a manicure and no one was there to even open the store until 10:10 then it took the technician another 5-10 minutes to start my nails because she had to get her stuff put together. All of the staff, including the receptionist rolled in around 10:30. No one ever apologized for being late or even asked what my name was/if I had an appointment. My technician was in such a hurry she asked for my payment before she even did my nails (which I think is pretty unprofessional). Most of the technicians were talking to their coworkers and completely ignoring their customers, mine especially so. Wish I knew her name but she couldn't even tell me that much. Needless to say, I will not ever be going back to the nailery again. If you want your appointment to be on time, I would suggested not booking an appointment during the first 30 minutes that they are open because you will be waiting (or standing out in the cold like I was). read more

Oh I think not. Tried to get a mani/pedi here on the weekend, admittedly a busy time, so I didn't mind waiting for a walk-in. They took my name & told me to pick a color. Problem #1: they have a small & wretched selection of polish colors. So I picked something I hoped I would like & sat down to wait. Problem #2: the overall impression of the store is cluttered, disorganized, and unfriendly, with many signs taped to every available flat surface about their right to refuse service and absolutely no refunds. Are they getting asked for refunds so frequently that they feel they must post all these signs? While I waited, the very rude hostess demanded my name a couple of times (checking against the sign-in list.) Once, OK, but to ask me again five minutes later? Problem 3: if you can't remember my name for just a few damn minutes, I have very grave reservations about the level of customer service. The salon was very clean and the staff is really friendly. First we had an appointment for 3 pedicures and manicures but we get did in until 45 minutes later. The tech that did my nails but nice but she ran the scrub twice on my feet and was done! I also had my nails done and wanted a French ombré glitter and even showed her a picture. I asked if she could do it and she said yes. First off she just put opaque white polish on and barely top it with glitter polish! It looked nothing like the picture!! I would have appreciated it more if she would have told me she doesn't know how and I would have picked another color. They have a pedi/mani package and that's why I did toes and nails but I was charge $41 for a pedicure and $35 for a manicure a total of $76 dollars!!!! It was not worth it. I get that it was busy but first off we waited 45 minutes even with an appointment, the tech basically took off my polish, put a new color one, and rub lotion on type of pedicure and my manicure looks like someone that is learning how to paint for the first time! Honestly, my sisters and I will probably not going back.
