I was craving a nice salad and decided to check this place out. The sandwiches looked really good but I stuck with getting a Large Southwest Salad and a Strawberry Mango Smoothie. The difference between the 2 salad sizes is $1 so made sense to just get the large. It was a good size salad but would've been perfect if it had cilantro and/or some scallions. They actually forgot smoothie at 1st and I had to find them to make it. The place itself is a good size with both indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell some baked goods and coffee. This review is based on a delivery order as I have never been to the establishment itself. I was craving a sandwich and decided to give this place a try since it's new to our area and we don't have a lot of places to get a great sandwich. This place was so good. I am happy there's a good sandwich place close to home. We ordered the bbq sandwich, tomato soup, cookie, latte and lemonade. I can't even begin to describe the flavors and freshness. I would say this is a 4.5ish establishment but considering others have rated it so low I figured I'd do it justice since it's definitely rated higher than its showing. Portions were decent. We have to keep in mind that EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE is expensive these days. You can't even go to McDonald's without spending 25-30 bucks. That said, this place was priced appropriately for the type of food they are serving. Everything was fresh and it had cohesiveness. My only recommendation would be for them to work on their customer greeting? Not sure how to say it but the service was good yet needed that special touch that makes you feel welcomed and invited to come back. By no means was it bad but if they want to stay competitive and inviting they will need to improve on this. The inside of the restaurant was clean and we loved the style. The sandwich paper smelled weird, but the sandwich was good. I got the turkey pesto with all the sauces. They charge for everything: to size up and all the extra fillings! The dutch crunch was also lighter than I'm used to from other places. It was satisfying and the order was ready quickly! Medium was filling but I feel like I could have sized up one more. We placed our order after having a chance to read the big menu in front of the register. He had the option to order it hot or cold and went with hot. * 8"/large size BBQ brisket sandwich ($13.99) - I got it with Dutch crunch and loved it! The crave for a sandwich was strong this morning and I was quite interested in the Dutch crunch bread that Levain had to offer. I came in around 0830 on a Monday morning and was the only customer for the morning. The cashier was very friendly since I asked what they'd recommend - it was between the turkey pesto or the bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. I opted for the BLT with Dutch crunch. I didn't have any expectations but was pleasantly surprised by the sauce that they used. It's similar to an aioli with a kick which is was totally not what I was expecting. On one lazy afternoon, when I didn't feel like cooking lunch, my sister reminded me of Levain Bread, since I told her I was craving a sandwich. She told me that their food is pretty good and not as expensive as Panera Bread, which is always a plus. Since I didn't feel like doing anything, due to being sick, I decided to order my sandwich and my daughter's lunch to be delivered to us. The food is actually really good! I believe I ordered the turkey and cheese sandwich with various vegetables. They add a good amount of lettuce, tomatoes, and whatever else I asked to be added, which reminded me of Togo's sandwiches; however, they don't add as much meat as Togo's. Regardless of the amount of protein that they may or may not add, my sandwich was well-seasoned and quite flavorful. I was very satisfied with my sandwich. My daughter also gobbled up the Mac and cheese that I ordered for her. Giving this place a 3.5-3.8, but not a 4. Tried this new spot, reminds me of a Sourdough and Co. type place. Ordered the bbq brisket sandwich. The brisket sandwich on Dutch Crunch is absolutely heavenly! I haven't tried the coffee yet but I suspect it's great, smells great anyway. Salads are great, you just have to mix it, which if you're me creates quite a mess. It's much higher quality products than say Subway so it's a little more $, but well worth it. Service is always friendly. The staff work hard on quality of the food they are preparing so it's not going to be as fast as Subway. Usually, I get the Greek because it's my absolute favorite. I wanted to try something different so I ordered a southwest salad and the Italian salad. I will start with the Italian salad. I will not order that again. I did not like pepperoni and salami in my salad with Italian. I want to try something different, but I will definitely not re-order this one. Next, I tried the southwest salad and that was absolutely a no no for me The chicken in the salad was so chewy and gummy. It reminded me of fake chicken. Safe to say, I will not be re-ordering this salad. The Greek salad is my absolute favorite, and I will stick to that from now on. And I re-ordered the Italian sandwich which it was good but this time they didn't put as much meat as before, as you could see in the picture it is very thin slices of meat. You could barely see it. The location is close to the recently built apartments and some homes, making it a walkable destination. Upon entering, we noticed the cleanliness, brightness, and clean lines of the building. From the outside, I wouldn't have expected how spacious the inside of the restaurant was. They have a large open area inside and the tables are located around the perimeter. I've been meaning to try Levain Bread in Suisun for a while now. I tried the Bbq Brisket sandwich and it was delicious! It comes with thin sliced brisket, their signature spread, crispy onion strings, coleslaw, Bbq sauce and cheddar cheese. The flavors were perfectly matched and the sweet French bread was very soft. I also got another one for family and that one was on a Dutch Crunch roll. The strawberry lemonade was very good! As a first timer I had a few questions, and the young man taking my order was so kind, patient, and helpful. I am a bit of a picky eater so I stuck with what I know. A plain turkey sandwich on sourdough. Although it may not sound appetizing to those with a mature pallet I have to say that it was probably one of the best plain turkey sandwiches I've had. First off, I want to say that the people working here are great. Very friendly and helpful, which is why this is two stars instead of one. My gripe with the place is the raw sewage smell as soon as you walk in the door. I've been here a total of four times. The first time was a couple days after they opened and the smell was not there. The second time, there was a very faint smell. Tonight was the fourth time and the smell was so bad, my family and I walked in and immediately walked out because the smell was so bad, I couldn't imagine eating anything coming from a place that smelled like that. Food was excellent!!! Service was amazing, staff greatened as you walk in. The food was amazing! Soft yet crunchy Dutch Crunch bread with smoked turkey is a must try. The murals on the walls are amazing and definitely bring the history of Suisun City to life. The lighting in the restaurant is spectacular making it very spacious and comfortable. The Dutch crunch bread isn't as crunchy as Mr Mr. Pickles but sometimes Mr. Pickles Dutch Crunch bread can be too much. This was just right. Nice house sauce which was great which looks like 1000 island or in n out sauce not as tangy. Overall pretty tasty. All ingredients taste fresh. My family and I ordered the same sandwich, but mine was the only one that tasted different etc. Also, I don't get why the young woman employee, kept pushing me to order a small salad, when I kept asking for a large.......She gave me a small salad anyways; WTF?!?!!!!! It was a ceaser salad, that she almost gave me ranch instead. Also, we asked for large drinks, but she gave us all smalls. And going back to the salad, why on earth would you put the dressing in a small "to-go" sauce container/cup, when we didn't order our food "to-go". We ate there at the restaurant.
