    Strawberry lemonade
    Genesis A.

This place was so good. I am happy there's a good sandwich place close to home. We ordered the bbq sandwich, tomato soup, cookie, latte and lemonade. I can't even begin to describe the flavors and freshness. I would say this is a 4.5ish establishment but considering others have rated it so low I figured I'd do it justice since it's definitely rated higher than its showing. Portions were decent. We have to keep in mind that EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE is expensive these days. You can't even go to McDonald's without spending 25-30 bucks. That said, this place was priced appropriately for the type of food they are serving. Everything was fresh and it had cohesiveness. My only recommendation would be for them to work on their customer greeting? Not sure how to say it but the service was good yet needed that special touch that makes you feel welcomed and invited to come back. By no means was it bad but if they want to stay competitive and inviting they will need to improve on this. The inside of the restaurant was clean and we loved the style. It was relaxing and we enjoyed every part of our meal. Hope it does well.

12 oz clam chowder with sourdough bread

Fresh and flavorful sandwiches with amazing bread! Dined in for lunch on a Sunday. We were the only ones there when we entered but some more customers came in after us. We placed our order after having a chance to read the big menu in front of the register. Here's what we got: * 6"/medium size caprese salami sandwich ($12.99) - my fiancé got it on sourdough and said it was really good! He had the option to order it hot or cold and went with hot. * 8"/large size BBQ brisket sandwich ($13.99) - I got it with Dutch crunch and loved it! The fried onions and the coleslaw matched well with the brisket. And I liked how the Dutch crunch was soft and didn't hurt my mouth but it still had a satisfying crunch to it. I was full after finishing this. * 12 oz bowl clam chowder ($9.99) - flavorful and not too salty! Loved how it came with 4 slices of sourdough. The sourdough was warm and chewy and had the perfect bite. I enjoyed dunking the bread into the chowder. * Oatmeal raisin cookie ($2.89) - chewy, sweet, and pretty big! Just how I like my oatmeal raisin cookies. * Chocolate chip cookie ($2.89) - didn't get to try it, but my fiancé said it was good! Seemed to satisfy his chocolate craving. * 12 oz chai latte, less ice ($5.50) - not too sweet and had just the right amount of milk. Everything tasted fresh and was served to us quickly. Service was friendly and I didn't feel rushed when deciding what to order. Plenty of seating inside and outside the restaurant with easy, nearby parking. I can see why some may say it's pricey, but I feel like the quality justifies the price. I'll definitely come back to try the southwest salad and Mac n cheese! Glad to have a local, yummy sandwich place!

The crave for a sandwich was strong this morning and I was quite interested in the Dutch crunch bread that Levain had to offer. I came in around 0830 on a Monday morning and was the only customer for the morning. The cashier was very friendly since I asked what they'd recommend - it was between the turkey pesto or the bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. I opted for the BLT with Dutch crunch. I didn't have any expectations but was pleasantly surprised by the sauce that they used. It's similar to an aioli with a kick which is was totally not what I was expecting. The sandwich was good, I probably would try the italian over the BLT. The dining area was large and clean. Parking was easy and there are EV charging a little walk away.

Great sandwich shop with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. I really loved the sandwich I ordered. The tomato soup was rich, comforting, and the perfect match on the side. A bit on the pricey side but def will retrun

Okay tasting sandwich. Young lady who served me was very pleasant. She helped me pick out a sandwich she thought my son would like. Place was very clean. I want to come back to try some of their beverages and other sandwiches.

We've been wanting to try this place since it opened. Today I had a 4" roast beef and hubby had a 6" roast beef. We were very disappointed. We ordered on Dutch crunch roll and it was very dry and hard. The portion of meat was small, the tomato very thin and the lettuce was chopped and some pieces were brown. Oh, and I ordered onion and I didn't get any. Needless to say, we will not be back.

I came here for the first time. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The sandwich was very good. All the ingredients tasted fresh. The bread was very soft and fresh as well. The inside is aesthetically pleasing with wall art all over inside. I recommend paying them a visit if you're looking for a good sandwich.

    Bbq brisket sando is tasty!

Giving this place a 3.5-3.8, but not a 4. Tried this new spot, reminds me of a Sourdough and Co. type place. Ordered the bbq brisket sandwich. For a Large, 13.99 is quite pricey especially when it's small. It tasted quite good, bread was fresh and meat was tasty! Had an iced latte too. You order and have a seat, place is pretty open and clean. There's other places to get more bang for your buck.

    Chicken salad sandwich
    Sarai L.

The sandwiches we had were AMAZING. We got the bbq chicken sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich both on crunch bread. We definitely get both again! It's nice because they also have an espresso bar. We got two sandwiches, chips and two coffees. I would say the only downfall is the prices. It's not a cheap lunch. I spent $40 for two people to eat. It may just be the times, but the food was good! I would go back for the service 100%! Everyone working was so kind and helpful!

    Italian salad

I love this place so much that I order once or twice a week. Each time I order I tried to order something new. I will start with the salads. Usually, I get the Greek because it's my absolute favorite. I wanted to try something different so I ordered a southwest salad and the Italian salad. I will start with the Italian salad. I will not order that again. I did not like pepperoni and salami in my salad with Italian. I want to try something different, but I will definitely not re-order this one. Next, I tried the southwest salad and that was absolutely a no no for me The chicken in the salad was so chewy and gummy. It reminded me of fake chicken. Safe to say, I will not be re-ordering this salad. The Greek salad is my absolute favorite, and I will stick to that from now on. And I re-ordered the Italian sandwich which it was good but this time they didn't put as much meat as before, as you could see in the picture it is very thin slices of meat. You could barely see it. But I will not give up on this place and I will probably re-order next week.

    Turkey/ pastrami on sourdough
    Ebony D.

Visited on a Sunday morning, was greeted as soon as we came in,Ordered a 6in turkey pastrami with fresh mozzarella on sourdough. Bread was fresh and tasty the turkey and pastrami went well together. My other half ordered the turkey and salami Also was pretty tasty. The sandwich were pretty heavy in size which we appreciated. Wasn't busy when we got there so we had our order pretty quickly. Lots of seating as well.

In my opinion, the restaurant could use some remodeling and general updates. The structure feels a little dated, and there are small details that stand out if you're paying attention. The mimosa flights are what seem to draw a big crowd. They're cute and very aesthetic, which I think is part of the appeal. Some of them can be on the sweeter side, so if you enjoy fruity, sweet drinks, you'll probably love them. As for the food, it just hasn't been my favorite. I've tried several items over multiple visits because friends enjoy going there. The chicken and waffles were okay, nothing special. The omelet was decent but not memorable. I tried the chilaquiles once and wouldn't order them again. They were very heavy on the sauce for my taste. I also found some items like the hash browns a bit too greasy, the fries are three large wedges, not my favorite. On the positive side, most of the servers I've had have been friendly and attentive, and the bathrooms have always been clean, which I appreciate. Overall, Maple Bar Cafe may be a great fit if you love sweet brunch options and fun mimosa flights. It just isn't my personal go-to spot, but I can see why others enjoy it.

Second, the food was insane. Given the reasonable prices we expected the dishes to be small, but they were substantial. I got the Warao pizza (added balsamic) with a kinder milkshake, my husband got the pastrami sandwich with a vanilla milkshake, our daughter got a cheese pizza and strawberry milkshake, and we got a pastellito to try. My husband had to help me with my pizza and we couldn't even try the pastellito because we were stuffed (having it for my snack tonight). And everything tasted amazing - I loved the combination of the Warao, and kinder milkshake with Nutella and kinder pieces, need I say more? The case where the baked items are kept in the front appears to be sticky and dirty. The communal condiment containers definitely needed to be wiped down. The tables needed to be wiped down as well. There were dirty dishes near the sugar area. Everything need a light cleaning. My Hubsand ordered the 1/2 Warao salad, which was a very small portion. The salad presentation was pretty with light dressing. I ordered the arepa reina pepada, which was not good. The corn cake was just hard on the outside. It tasted like it was stale as if it had been warmed up in the microwave. The filling was overly salty.

I ordered the chicken Philly and specifically asked for no mayo, which was also noted on my receipt. I also asked for jalapeños because the menu listed "hot and sweet peppers," but the server said those were more like bell peppers. The fresh jalapeños ended up being an extra $1.50. Unfortunately, the sandwich arrived with mayo on both sides of the bread. I was already very hungry and getting a headache, so instead of sending it back and waiting again, I tried scraping most of it off. Even after that, the sandwich was still very heavy. There was also a lot of melted cheese that tasted closer to an American or Cheez-Whiz style cheese rather than something milder like provolone or Swiss, which made the sandwich very wet and overly rich. I ended up eating less than half of the sandwich before giving up on it. The garlic fries were decent, though they were very thin shoestring fries and the portion looked larger than it actually was because they were spread out across the tray. The pickle on the side was very soft and soggy and had an unusual mix of dill and sweet flavors, so I only took one bite. To the server's credit, when she saw that I wasn't taking the sandwich to go and mentioned the mayo issue, she gave me 20% off the bill, which I appreciated. However, since more than half of the sandwich went uneaten due to the mistake, a larger adjustment might have felt more appropriate. Overall, the experience was pretty average ("meh"), and while the staff was polite, the food itself didn't live up to expectations. I probably wouldn't return on my own.
