For the owner,business has been declining for the "Naughty Dawg" the owner is having a difficult time getting a open parking lot to set up for doing business. He used to set up on Andersen Drive, then on the parking lot at Best Buy, then back to parking lots on Andersen Drive. I also looked at his facebook page and it seems not to be updated. You know, sometimes you just want a hot dog! I found the naughty dawg on Yelp, oh what a surprise yea? It took a couple of months but I finally made my way over today and pretty happy that I did. It's just a little pop up tent as you can see in the pics. I'm one of those people that like the casing on the dog. I like the "snap" when you bite into it. These days everything is skinless...boring! So I ordered a chili cheese dog and a Polish sausage. Maybe a 5 minute wait if that. First bite of the chili cheese dog and felt that snap I knew I was gonna like this dog. Chili was good, I should have added jalapeño. My first time in their new location, on Anderson Drive right next to the entrance into Pace Plumbing Supply, with plenty of parking, and an adjoining table where you can eat. Do note their hours above. It's still the same, meaning great. I had my usual, the Polish Dawg (beef polish with mustard, sauerkraut, and dill pickle spears). The hot dog was just ok but I am more concerned about cleanliness. I asked for a can of soda and he reached into the cooler and handed me a sprite which seemed like it had probably been in there for years. It had a slimy film on the outside and the metal was discolored. I shouldn't have taken it but I did and washed the can with soap when I got home. I opened the soda and it was completely flat. I would not suggest getting drinks from here because every can in that cooler was contaminated. Wonder how often the cooler gets washed out? Judging from my experience not often, if ever. read more

This hot dog stand is the best place to come when feeding an entire family or one's hangry teenager! It's extremely feasible, and there's something for everyone :) They will also toast, roast and do whatever to your buns LOL! This place will make a killing if they opened on the weekends, especially being so close to a school and Albert Park. The owners are nice people. I have been a big fan of The Naughty Dawg for years. I discovered and had my first dawg at the downtown San Rafael Farmers Market on Thursday evenings. Since then I stop by the location near Alberts Park. You can't go wrong with any of the dawgs Randy has to offer. Every time I stop by I leave completely satisfied. I always get my usual, the Old Fashioned, but on my most recent visit I decided to switch it up and order the famous NaughtyDawg and split the Ragin' Cajun. Everything from the snap of the dawgs to the toppings included is perfection. There is also lots of condiments and even MORE toppings you can add that's available where you order. I'm glad this gem is right in my neighborhood. It's located outside under a tent with a table (sits up to 4 comfortably) for customers to enjoy their delicious dawgs. I believe I also saw a bench for additional seating. Some parking spaces are available in a small parking lot close by. The buns are grilled a bit too and you help yourself with the usual toppings like relish, diced unions, two kinds of mustard and even ketchup which should never be added onto a dog as it smothers the natural flavor instead of enhancing it...just ask Harry Callahan :). You can get ice cold refreshments from the cooler and/or chips hanging near the menu listing various classic skin and skinless dogs and links. Their parking lot fits 2 vehicles sorta like a drive thru but you park it and get out to order. If you are behind the first vehicle that's eat their dogs on site, you will have to back up to leave. Most hot-dogs are $3.50 for a 1/4 lb-er in a sesame seed roll with complimentary condiments of diced red onions, pickled peppers, relish, and another that I don't remember (besides the usual mustard and ketchup). I've had the spicy Louisiana hot link (my favourite), chicken-apple, Italian, and the bratwurst (with sauerkraut). There is also the meal option for, I think, $5 that includes a pack of chips and a soda. There is also the small sub-menu of hot-dogs-with-bells-n-whistle consisting of the Italiano (Italian, marinara sauce, grilled onions, and cheese), Thai (chicken-apple, peanut sauce, cucumber), Ragin' Cajun (Louisiana hot-link, bbq sauce, grilled onion and peppers, and cheddar) and a few other for $4.50 each. Randy I believe Runs this little Hod dog stand. He offers traditional old fashion dogs, links, brats, specials all for usually around 5-6$ with a drink. He is pretty fast and the place has a chill little spot to sit down. I am not sure if he makes all this stuff himself but it all taste super fresh and super amazing. Generally a normal hot dog wont fill me up but these are full size and length dogs. They taste great and he has a little condiment area which is kept very clean. Yum! I don't eat hot dogs frequently, but when I do I want a good one. No good reason for a substandard dog when eaten so rarely. Naughty Dog fits the bill to a "T." $4 for a standard, good old fashioned hot dog with all the trimmings. I love how the hot dog bun is toasted, cos there is nothing worse than a cold, raw bun.
