Wow, so my husband listens to sports podcasts and heard about this place and since we were traveling, it was not that far off our path, so we stopped in. The meat was soo delish. The chicken was great, the chili was ok, not our fav, but everything else was great for us and our kiddo. Large portions, plenty of seating, great views.

Let me just start off by saying that I am really hesitant on eating BBQ outside of the home let alone Texas. I was visiting the area and was going for a burger. I noticed PIAP and decided to try. I decided to order the brisket (lean), greens, Mac n cheese, cornbread and a side of pickles. I wasn't expecting much since I can be picky. I just want to say that everything was amazing! Beyond my expectations! The mac n cheese was cheesy and not lacking on any cheese sauce. The cornbread was good even with the small bits of jalepeno. The brisket was so tender and seasoned so well! It literally fell off the fork! The pitmaster had to have been here before!! The meat was perfect! But when I tell you the greens topped the icing on the cake! Now, it is cooked with meat so if you are not into it, you will be! I ate the greens with the cornbread and it was the best balance of flavor!! I just needed a little hot sauce and I would have thought these were made in someone's grandma kitchen! PIAP will always get my $ when I am in the area! Also, even though you order at a menu, the customer service is wonderful! The team member answered all my questions to ensure my order was right. Now how can I get this shipped back to Texas....

About 30-35 minutes north of Union Square San Francisco, Pig In a Pickle is located in a mall in the city of Corte Madera. Parking is easy as the mall parking lot is plentiful. The restaurant is also facing the street, so it's easily accessible. They are across from Starbird. They probably had really long lines before (or learned from their other location that always has lines). They now have kiosk ordering for take-out and QR code menu on the table. The only time you saw a server was them bringing food to your table. There is a water station next to the entrance. Pay with credit card if you order on the QR code (Apple Pay accepted). If you pay with cash, you get 4% discount and you have to waive down a server. Brisket was good. Baby back ribs were fall off the bone. We had a party of two, which we noted in the order, and we ordered a small size, which comes with three bones. They gave us four ribs! The sides here are so flavorful. The potato salad was great. The mac n cheese was so cheesy and creamy with white cheddar from Wisconsin. The dill pickle was sour. The B&B pickles were sweet. I would love to try the beef brisket chili next time. The sauces here are definitely lacking. Only the spicy BBQ sauce was good and actually had a spice kick. The eastern carolina and white alabama are not even worth tasting imo. The public restroom is across the entrance, on the same side as Starbird.

I noticed the reviews for this spot were quite low but still wanted to give it a fair shot. Unfortunately, this might be one of the worst BBQ spots I've been to. The ribs were extremely small, the brisket was very fatty, and the mac and cheese was watery. The cornbread also tasted like it was a day old and wasn't even warm. To make matters worse, my stomach started hurting almost immediately after eating. Definitely won't be returning.

This was my first time dining here. You order through a QR code, and they bring the food to your table. Water is self-service. I ordered the ¼ lb beef brisket (marbled cut) for $10.00. It was good and not overly burned. They offer different sauces, and I tried the mild, mustard, and spicy. I preferred the mild sauce, which paired well with the brisket. The portion size was just right--filling but not too heavy. If I'm in the neighborhood, I would dine here again.

This is one of the best bbq spots in Marin. Their brisket is amazing and it falls apart and melts in your mouth. That is my go to meat to get. The Mac & chese is also good too. It is a nice little spot where you can sit at the bar, they have tables inside and outdoor seating. The waiters and staff are friendly and you can order from kiosk or online. Can't forget about their ribs, very tasty. They got several different bbq sauces, but I like the flavor of their meat and use sauce if I feel the need for it.

Third time for take out ! Baby back ribs and eastern Carolina barbecue sauce! This place doesn't get more South Carolina on the pallet than probably anywhere in the north Bay! Friendly staff we've got games on the TV so you can park your hubby while you do your holiday shopping it Towncenter nice selection of beer too! And I think the prices are quite fair for the quality of this smoke and sauce!

Stopped by Pig in a Pickle for a quick BBQ fix and was really impressed. The pulled pork sandwich was tender and packed with flavor, and the 1/4 rack of baby back ribs was juicy and fell right off the bone. Sides didn't disappoint--ranch-style beans were hearty, and the cornbread was warm, moist, and just the right amount of sweet. Ended on a high note with the rich and silky butterscotch pudding. Big shoutout to the super friendly staff --they made the whole experience feel extra welcoming. And the housemade sauces are a major win. Loved the self-serve urns so you can sample as much as you want or take some to go. Definitely planning to come back and try more!

It's interesting that the first time I came over I wasn't impressed but the second I came by I kinda enjoyed the food here. The place is in a mall so parking shouldn't be difficult. It's easy to make a reservation online but there is probably not a need to as I havent found it difficult to get seating. Most of the people ordered to go so there is usually some seating available. The seating at the patio seems to be more popular but because the location can get really hot I prefer it indoors. The people working here are usually really young and they do try their best and I'm impressed that they cleaned up without feeling grossed out by the leftover food. I really enjoyed the ribs and the sauces are great. The sausages are not bad either but I think pork ribs are the best chicken on the menu. It can be a little dry without the sauce but that's why the sauces are available. Although they charge for sauces when you order to go but you can ask for sauce when you take leftovers after dining in. I like the vibe of the restaurant even though it doesn't seem like a good fit for the decor of the overall shopping center. Overall I'd say I've had better BBQ but in the Bay Area this is good enough if you miss BBQ.

Walt reporting for Walt's Adventures and I find myself in Corde Madera, California. Pig In A Pickle is a BBQ restaurant. It's one of many eateries gathered together at the Corde Madera Town Center. The eatery has both indoor and outdoor dining. The outside dining option does have coverage depending on where one sits. We were encouraged to order via a QR code. Upon completion and not more than 5 minutes later, we had our drinks. I dare say that our meals arrived no more than a lapse of 10 more minutes. The food we found to be outstanding... it matched their presentations. We chose a group selection so that our group could share. Our only reservation is that the restaurant depends on the restrooms from the Town Center to serve their patrons. If you're looking for a great BBQ and gathering place for family and friends, then look no further than Conde Madera.

Love it on a nice 90 degree evening. Meats are already cooked so service is extremely fast. Sauces are amazing. I always get a little extra mustard and spicy sauce with any leftovers so that I can use them for sandwiches at home or as a dip for chips while watching football at home. Piiiiiig in a Pickle (must say it like Larry Krueger) for all you 49er fans. The brisket is just like Texas BBQ..

Jessica was great! She talked to me after my meal to see how I liked everything -- I've got to say the Brisket is really really good. I got more of the fat on my brisket! Honestly one of the best briskets I've tasted -- I also enjoyed the coleslaw and pickle! I came for lunch time and the ambience felt good inside with the wooden bbq theme they have going. It wasn't busy and service was fast. I'm going back to try more of the brisket!

It's inside a mall, and I did not see any directories to point the way. Once we found it and sat down, I noticed the sign telling us to scan the QR code on the table to order. Honestly, that almost sent me right back out the door. I wanted an actual menu, not a tiny phone screen with lots of scrolling and submenus, especially since I had questions about the food. The atmosphere felt a bit impersonal at first, mostly because of the mall setting and the QR-code ordering system, but the friendly staff helped make it feel much more comfortable once we got settled. The two people working the front were both very pleasant, answered my questions, and made the whole experience feel much more welcoming. They had a decent IPA selection and a variety of bar foods (pizza, wings, appetizers). We ordered the arancini, fried cauliflower, and a pizza. The fried cauliflower was the surprise hit for me, especially with the garlic aioli. The arancini and pizza were also very good. The QR ordering setup still feels more frustrating than inviting, but the friendly service and surprisingly good food turned things around. In the end, I left glad that I stayed.

We started with the chips & salsas- the chips were just as I like them; thin, crispy with salt. My sister had the vegan enchiladas and her husband the vegan pozole which he raved about. My son had the trio of carnitas tacos and was quite satisfied. I thoroughly enjoyed the veggie (not vegan as I love my queso) chile rellenos - they were divine. The sauce was perfectly flavored. We shared the churros for dessert- a bit disappointed as they were not crispy & a bit doughy on the inside. Our server was friendly and the prices were reasonable. I brought this up the the staffer who went and checked the shelf and came back and told me that this was an un-vintaged wine. I was like WTF? I clearly has a vintage and I bought a 2017. He explained to me that they just sell whatever corporate sends them and that he has no control over what shows up. He was able to change it on the website almost immediately though to 2019. I needed the wine for an event the next day so I had no choice but to take the new vintage. I sent an email to both corporate and the store manager thinking that they would make some amends. The manager called me the next day and politely explained that they have no control over what shows up on the website and that they just shelve what is sent to them by corporate. In addition he explained what was meant by "un-vintaged." Evidently what that means is that they don't stock and store several vintages like they do with some wines and that because corporate doesn't always update what they've been shipped this can sometimes occur. OK, so he talked me down and I guess I was convinced that it wasn't the store's fault. But still I feel like they should have made some monetary amends for the mistake they made as a corporate entity. so, I was gong to leave it along. But today almost a week later I get an email from corporate saying: Hi! Thanks so much for reaching out to Customer Care about this. Per the information from your order 355673938, the La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Reserva 2019 is indeed the correct vintage/item purchased on the order. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. What the actual heck? Did they not even see my original email that VERIFIES that my order was a 2017 vintage. The service is outstanding and very overall I would rate Picco at the top in Marin options Side note, the smoked ribs was probably the best we have ever had and on their special menu A standard option we love on the regular menu is Salmon, risotto and the appetizer ahi tuna Tartare. All our favorites.

We wanted to order pizza, but we were told we had to go to a different side of the building. Then we were offered a completely different menu, which made the experience even more confusing. Our waiter was rude and didn't seem to know much about the menu or the dishes. The prices were extremely high, and for a party of five, our bill came to over $400--almost $500. To make matters worse, the food did not justify the price. The salmon was undercooked, the portions were incredibly small, and the overall quality was disappointing. We actually had to go somewhere else to eat afterward because we were still hungry. Overall, this was a terrible dining experience. We will never come back, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Hopefully, none of us gets sick after eating there.

After our trip to SF, we stopped in Corte Madera to rest before heading out to Clear Lake. With the…read morerestaurant conveniently located near our hotel, we decided to give it a try. Despite the Friday night chaos (seriously, where did all these hungry people come from?), we scored a table faster than you can say 'table for four!' We went full family-style and ordered enough food to feed a small army: Crispy Angel Wings - sweet, spicy, finger-lickin' good, and frankly, slightly addictive. If there's a rehab for wings, sign me up. BBQ Pork Garlic Noodles - so packed with garlic you might ward off vampires for a week. (Worth it!) Braised Beef Short Ribs - the coconut tomato curry was so good it could probably solve world peace. Or at least a hangry meltdown. Burmatown Bao - the kids inhaled these little taco-bun hybrids before we could even steal a bite. Blink and you'll miss them! Our waitress was a total rockstar--friendly, fast, and somehow able to remember our complicated order without writing it down. Superpowers? Maybe. No regrets, no complaints. Just happy bellies, a lingering craving for more wings, and a unanimous family decision: we'd come back in a heartbeat... if we're ever in Corte Madera again!

We thought okay, good time to try different dishes. After a forty minute wait, we reminded our server of our order. We could see how much was going on but other tables who had come after us had been served. She apologized profusely. She had forgotten to enter our order. We waited some more and I finally asked her if we could be served something quick to prepare like the tea leaf salad. This came. Delicious as always. We asked that the rest of our order be comped and this was granted. When our order came, the hoisin ribs were outstanding; the mushroom medley garlic noodles were missing the mushrooms; the green bean shrimp stir fry had tough inedible green beans. We left all the green beans and the rice which was dry and compacted, not fluffy at all. This is not at all the usual high caliber of cooking you normally get at Burmatown. Lesson learned. Remind the server sooner. We were one of the earlier tables and finished as the second to the last table at lunch service. We will be back for the outstanding hoisin ribs, the mushroom noodles and of course, the terrific chicken pumpkin curry which is normally available.
