It's a nice hole in the wall in the middle of no where. Quick prompt service. Now I was the only…read morecustomer so that might have been why. Jennette and Chris seemed like down to earth friendly people. The cheese burger was on special so that's what I got. Burger was seasoned and cooked very well. The bun was toasted and was more like a homemade roll than a store bun. Fries were good as normal bar fries are. Most likely won't be back up this way any time soon but if I am I will have lunch again. Recommend the experience.

(Chuckling of approval from his drinking audience) We decided (unwisely) to ignore his rudeness and sit. He continued to talk to his friends. Eventually he came over and asked what we wanted (apparently there are no menus). My husband mentioned he saw a "Cash Only" sign and asked about that. The bartender said he didn't want to pay the fees, but we could get out cash at his ATM and pay that fee. I already wanted to leave. There was zero indication anyone was cooking anything there. I tried to use the cash issue as a pretext to leave gracefully, but the bartender was not going to let us off that easily. "What? You won't pay the $2.50 fee? Fine! Here! I'll pay it!" He takes a $5 out of his wallet and throws it on the table. "Here's five f*ing dollars! Take it and use the f*ing ATM!" Time to get the hell out of Deliverance. I jumped up, "No thank you, we'll just be going." I made straight for the door without looking back. He shouted, "No thank you!" after me and something else I didn't catch. At my husband, he yelled, "Pull your pants up and get with the program! Jesus Christ!" as we fled in shock. If you are considering patronizing this place, I strongly advise against it-- unless you are spoiling for a fight and want to give this guy a lesson in manners.

Overall it was ok. We came here over Memorial Day Weekend while visiting Cooperstown and expected…read moreit to be packed, but it was a little dead inside. The whole bar area was closed and they only had one small section of tables open. No kids menu but luckily my son is ten and was able to polish off a regular sized burger. The smoked brisket sandwich was pretty good, and my girlfriend enjoyed her Mac and cheese with brisket. Both decent but nothing to rave about. The beer selection was rough. Almost no local beers available, no prices listed, no indication if a beer was available on draft or in cans/bottles. I was surprised that with a world class brewery right in their backyard (Ommegang) they only had one beer from them available, and it was a can pour. Prices are on the higher end as well. $15 for a plain hamburger with fries and $16 for plain Mac and cheese before you add any toppings. It was a decent dinner, but if we are ever in the area again we would probably seek out other options before coming back here.

I ordered the brisket plate, and it was delicious tender, flavorful, and with a perfect bark. We also tried the smoked brisket ravioli, which were more like gyoza but absolutely fantastic nonetheless! The fried pickles were homemade and deliciously crisp. Plus, they have ice-cold beer to top it all off. Honestly, what's not to like? Highly recommended!
