I had a 10+ year old NF coat. Last year, a zipper slider broke. I took the coat to numerous alteration places to see if the zipper slider pull could be replaced. All the places said 'no'. Finally, someone recommended to go into the North Face store. Closest NF store is Bellevue Square. When I arrived, I was greeted and after I posed my question about repairs - I was directed to the cash out desk. There Greg greeted me and asked what the issue was. I explained that I've had this coat for years - that zipper slider pull was broke. He then went into action - looking up the style number and all the while explaining that the coat was under warranty. Once he was able to read/interpret the style number he issued me a gift card that I was able to get a brand new coat. Greg was amazing! Service at North Face Bellevue Square was the best. What a pleasure to hear 'yes' versus no. Thank you Greg! PS - I left my ear pods in my old jacket - called and YES!!! They had the earbuds. I went back to the store - Adam retrieved them and Greg remembered my name! Wow. What personal service you get at North Face. The company backs what they sell. read more

Would have given 0 stars if I could. Tried to return an online order on Black Friday and the store refused because they were "too busy" -- there were maybe 10 people in the entire place. Both the associate and the manager kept saying the return process would "take too long" and be impossible, especially since it was paid with Apple Pay. When I mentioned it would have been helpful if the website noted not to return items in-store on Black Friday, the manager defended the brand by saying, "As you can tell, we are very busy." He even added, "If the line gets backed up, it's on you", which was a wild thing to say to a customer simply trying to make a return. I then asked for a gift card instead (since Apple Pay isn't supported for in-store returns), and was told the gift card system was conveniently down. After driving 45 minutes to get here, it was clear this was a mix of system limitations and a complete unwillingness to help. Immediately went to the Vuori store for another return and the experience was the exact opposite. The North Face Bellevue Square location was easily the worst customer service I've experienced at any brand store. Clearly they don't care about losing a longtime customer. read more

Popped in to exchange an online order since TNF won't process exchanges online anymore. I stopped in after their systems had been down, and had just come back online. So I must've timed it right. I needed a size down in the jacket, and they didn't have any up front. The associate went back to check and found the very last one hidden in a box of another color it was so lucky! Their staff is helpful and knowledgeable in their product performance. I had a great time here. I really don't like shopping. If I could be rich enough to hire a personal shopper I would completely do that. After coming here I could possibly imagine a scenario where shopping is always an enjoyable experience! Upon entering we were immediately greeted. I was looking for a winter jacket as I have noticed our winters are getting colder with each passing year and most of my winter coats feel useless by Thanksgiving. I wanted to go see zoo lights at Point Defiance without freezing in the wind or be able to walk around the parks, get caught in a rainstorm, and not get soaked. Simple enough to ask for and most reviews recommended The North Face. The gentleman who greeted us took me back to the parkas and showed me where they were. Then he promptly left to return to his post at the door. I tried on several coats before being approached again by a new salesperson who answered all my questions. She helped me through the fit a bit better and made some recommendations. Then let me have some space to try coats out. When I went to the mirror to look over the parka I eventually bought another salesperson came over and we had a brief conversation. It felt different than the sales lady who helped me pick out the coat because it felt like an assist - the sales lady was the main point of contact and he casually stepped in to subtly reinforce some points that she had already made. It was so organic I didn't even catch that it happened until the next day. Like I was looking over a white coat initially but both pointed out in different ways how dirty it would quickly become. They did it in such a way as not to be overbearing but made the point efficiently enough that it made me realize that they were absolutely right. I've been in this store a handful of times and have always received good service...and then there was Tiffany H. Amazing!! I have a pair of shoes where the laces have broken. I've been to a few different North Face stores asking about replacements and they always tell me they don't sell laces and try [insert one of many random shoe stores]. It's the the point I've basically given up trying to find laces that work with these shoes and *sigh* WELL! On my most recent trip here I was simply tagging along, but Tiffany and I got to chatting and I brought up my shoe situation. She whipped out a warranty form, highlighted the number, and told me it's likely they'll just send me a replacement (though I'm more than happy to buy some laces)! 10/10 completely awesome customer service - thank you!! One of the things I really like about North Face is that their products are (usually) very durable and they have good warranties. Not sure why I had to talk to so many employees to get to this point, but I'm stoked nonetheless! read more

Went here last week to make a return. Due to covid they had a line as they were limiting the amount if people in the store. Good to see this but that is where it ends. People in the line weren't maintaining the proper distance and the staff weren't enforcing it. Disappointed to see that. The store it self is a bit small and I would say yo hate better off going to REI to buy their stuff as REI has the same North Face stuff as the the North Face store but with a 10x better return or exchange policy. read more

I really like that there's a North Face store in Bell Square, making it super easy for us, Eastsiders to get to. But more importantly, I love how knowledagable the staff are here! For anyone who owns North Face products, you know it will last for years, which is primarily why I am willing to spend more money on products like North Face. They are durable, accomodating to the occasion and they always have a ton of new and improved styles for all kinds of activity. The staff has always helped me navigate to specific items, depending on what its use will be for. Everytime I walk into this North Face store, friendly employees are willing to help me - yet never ever push me to buy their products. I wouldn't have known the differences in styles of jackets had it not been for the staff here, telling me which is rain-resistant, which is washable, which has insulation, etc... Stock is good here, too. They mostly have new and featured products that you can also find on the site, but older styles can be harder to find here. However, I've found the selection here to be better than other locations. As a huge North Face fan - this is a great store with awesome staff, helping you select the best products for your needs! read more

As a Californian who just moved to Seattle, I quickly realized that I would need a warm jacket. Unfortunately, as a (former) Californian, I had no idea what I would need. A sales associate (I realized later that I didn't get her name) at the North Face quickly came to my rescue. She showed me several options based on my budget, as well as recommendations for items online when my budget turned out to be too restrictive. She explained the appeal of a triclimate jacket, as well as the differences in features of many jackets. I ended up buying a jacket from the North Face's website (they have more color options + discounts) but I would not have had a clue about what to buy without the incredibly beneficial help I received from the store. As the previous post indicates, this is, not a review of the North Face store in Bellevue Square. Once again, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The North Fraud appears to not take any pride, ownership or responsibility of their products when there is an issue related to factory defects. The first attempt, (I'll be brief as there is detail in the previous post) was denied due to being purchased at an outlet store. Other companies I have dealt with have honored returns or exchanges from outlet stores at the "main" store. Attempted to have a repair / replacement of a pair of boots which where no longer useable clearly due to manufacturing / material defect. Upon inspection it was clear the boots had seen extremely low wear based on the tread and exterior. North Fraud denied the request based on the one year warranty which covers footwear. I have spoken with people and read reviews where footwear over a year old was replaced, even without a receipt. Does North Fraud not have consistently in the Warranty Center, do you have to have a connection? Good there are brand options for people to shop and spend their money. read more

What a great store to have nearby! There are other shops that carry NF stuff but having the whole store and ALL of their goodies together is excellent! The service here is friendly and not overbearing too which is great. Love all the jackets, winter accessories, and just plain clothing for women, children and men. All of it great quality as NF gear is... I'm going to add a bunch of the items to a wish list as they are kind of pricey (as expected). Four stars for product! This brand has so much great stuff especially with winter coming up. They have a great selection of jackets, clothing, GLOVES, backpacks and other gear. This store is a nice size and everything is always organized and easy to find. I would say the brand is pricey, but you really do get what you pay for and won't be disappointed. North Face at Bellevue Square provides top quality products, great guest service and a fun store to shop in. The staff is readily available to help and is very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Pretty much everything they sell though is at full MSRP retail, so dont be prepared for this store to be light on your wallet. Having a staff who knows the product and knowing you are buying from a brand that stands behind the products though, makes the prices less impactful. Highly recommend this great store and addition to Bellevue Square. read more

What an awful terrible customer service. Total indifference in what I was asking, the lady that I was talking to me started attending a cashier and I was left talking to a guy that was absolutely clueless, I had to repeat all that I had told the woman and he kept forgetting and bringing me the wrong stuff. I went on Saturday at around noon. I will not give them $400 for snowboarding pants even if they were the last ones on earth. I will never ever buy anything North Face because of the customer service I received. I went across to Eddie Bauer where the customer service is excellent. I am not surprised my review was similar to the others mentioned below. Manager of this store, you really need to do something about your employees... I work in the service industry so I know how bad reviews feel but judging by the other reviews of the mediocre customer service I am not alone and something needs to change so similar experiences dont keep happening over and over, it doesn't do anyone any good. My boyfriend and I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon about 4ish to browse, and no one approached us, said hi, or went out of their way to help whatsoever which is a basic responsibility of the job. After circling around a few times, a North Face employee (male) walked toward us, made FULL eye contact, then just walked away. No smile, no greeting or "how can I help you." Come on, seriously. . Perhaps we werent dressed in the "Bellevue" fashion and our clothes must have said we cant afford a North Face jacket made in China, but regardless you still greet customers. It felt like seletive greeting because the very next person that walked in he greeted!! Just not a good vibe, sorry for the negative review but feedback should be aknowledged and action taken to ensure positive customer experiences. read more

My teenage daughter and I ventured down to Bellevue yesterday to buy her a winter coat. Not just any winter coat, mind you... one not too warm but not too light, and sporty, not pea-coatish. And there couldn't be more than just the slightest puffiness (duh)... and white wouldn't be very practical. Through no fault of her own she's even more difficult to fit than she is to please - a 5' 2" size 0. A short time into our adventure, she found one at The North Face that rocked her world, but I had to open my big mouth about a minor fit issue and (what was I THINKING?) suggested she continue to look around. Two hours later... We found ourselves back at The North Face. But this was a happy circumstance after all... the service during our first round was very friendly, but this time, we ended up with one fantastically outgoing, bright, super-funny guy hell-bent on providing the best customer service we could come by. (No, I didn't get his name. I'll work on that. You may identify him as the UW graduate with a degree in Spanish. He lived in Ecuador for awhile, and he commiserated with my daughter when they discovered a common bond about their first boyfriend/girlfriend experiences. I'm telling you... this was a party.) She ended up choosing coat number one (it's like some kind of James Bond-slash-snow-thing. We all definitely agreed). Win-win... The North Face made some money, we walked away in a good mood when we'd walked in tired, disgruntled, and maybe a little dangerous... and super sales guy... well, I don't know exactly what he got out of it, but I hope it was good. A lot of people wear The North Face, especially in Seattle, and there are other outdoors brands, but the customer service at The North Face is amazing. The Bellevue location is large and has a much wider selection than the UVillage. It's also one of the larger The North Face stores, aside from Chicago (which is one of its Flagship stores). The customer service at the Bellevue location is also extremely helpful and friendly. I definitely make it a point to stop in here when I'm in Bellevue. read more

We came in looking for a bionic to Apex vest black in large and we're not able to find it at the store nor online. This is the worst North Face Store I have ever been too. No greetings or anyone offering to help me. 5 associates stood around folding sweaters and we're making jokes. I left after 5 minutes or so. Visited store with my daughter yesterday. We were greeted as we walked in and then totally ignored thereafter. We were there at least 10 minutes and were clearly struggling with size choice - unsure which size jacket to buy. We walked around the store trying to find suitable sweatshirts to try under the jacket. No member of staff so much as made eye contact, and the store was empty, besides the several unoccupied employees. Rather than beg for help from clearly disinterested staff - and it was very apparent that we needed assistance - we decided to take our business elsewhere. I've been using this local store since 2015 and never had a single problem that made me turn away from it. The experience level can be different from person to person, but I believe it all comes down from the mutual respect in between customers and associates. Sales associates, most of them are trained to be respectful in front of the customers and the most part of the disrespectful gestures can be seen and initiated by customers themselves, such as an arrogant snarky remarks of sayings, lacking of understandings one another, great underestimation that is self measured by some rich snobby customers' their own fantasy world. If you treat the others well with respect, then good things will be coming along. But do not expect like they will treat you well when you haven't done showing them any human decency. That's how this world works. Anyways back to my real store experience story. By the time I was purchasing some coats for my parents, I was wearing just typical shorts with beat up pair of shoes. So it is quite safe to say I was not dressed well enough, but one of their associates 'Mariah Q.' approached to us and went over product details for us with very respectful manner. She had a particular set of skills that will retain her customers very well with this genuine interests on what products customer really wants from the store. Throughout the entire time I never felt it was like generic greetings or some sort of. I was only able to feel the genuine human touch, not the pre-programmed robotic responses/gestures that you can feel it from most other stores.. I had to "interrupt" a personal conversation they were having for one of them to show me where the fitting room is. Very disinterested staff. Customer service is horible We bought 3 jackets at premium outlet, but one of them (rain jacket ) has issue with the zipper (can't zip up and down). We called premium outlet to ask is there any store close to where we live instead of driving over 1 hr to the outlet store. We were told that we can return at Bellevue store. When we went to Bellevue location, they said because the tag was not attached to the jacket so it has been wore and washed and can't take it back. We told them that the tag was on the way when we try it on at home so we decided to cut it off but we never wear it, how can we use this rain jacket when we can't zip it up. We called the premium outlet to tell them about the issue. They said they will contact the Bellevue store then call us back. Within 10 minutes they called us back and told us that Bellevue store said it is over 60 days. We said they never said that and it is not true , it is not over 60 days yet. Why the cashier at Bellevue store liar to their other store. why they tell us one thing and tell their store different thing? Why they see the tag off the jacket and assuming it had been wore and washed instead of judging the jacket condition. I will never shop this Norhface store in Bellevue and will not recommend to my family member and friends read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would!!! HORRIBLE customer service. I went into the store with a friend yesterday and was greeted by a very friendly blonde. After being in the store for only 5 minutes. The blonde tells the other lady working to keep an eye on me and my friend... note: She said this loud enough for us to hear. At first I wasn't offended, but then the lady who was originally behind the counter came out and proceeded to follow us around the store and just stood there and stared. Also note: we are women in our early twenties and were dressed very nicely.. Yet for some reason we were treated the way we were. We were in the store for a good half an hour while this was happening. I was planning to buy some heavier jackets for my two sons but obviously they only want to make customers feel uncomfortable. All the staff were very nice. But they gave me a feeling that they are all PT and are on commission because one girl asked me to mention her name at the checkout.
