This used to be a determining factor when choosing to make an outdoor purchase .This will no longer be the case !! It's so sad to see that corporations are further dividing America. Rest assured I will make sure that anyone military, or retired from the military, will never purchase another item from the north face again!! One more note .. They are closing their flagship store in SF so they are apparently so privileged they don't want their employees there how bout that for racial disparity. I love The North Face! I stopped in with a jacket I had purchased a couple years back that had gotten a small tear in it. The North Face backs their products with a lifetime guarantee. One of the associates (I think his name was Curtis or Chris) helped me get it sent off for repair. Once that was taken care of he told me about some of the current promotions. I proceeded to browse the various racks of apparel. A couple weeks later I received it back. Since I had purchased it at their outlet store they apparently don't honor the lifetime warranty. However, they did still repair the tear for me as a courtesy. Awesome! I have several jackets, shirts, hiking boots, and a backpack from The North Face. Holy Hell, I am way too broke to even walk into this store. I was wondering around Cherry Creek with the bf and his parents when his dad mentioned he had a gift card to spend at North Face. Being the Coloradan I am, I was interested in getting my outdoors on and checking things out. The store itself is packed to the gills with awesome coats, hiking boots, sleeping bags, luggage and even baby clothes. Their spring collection is already out so the store is filled with pinks, greens, blues and other various bright colors...my favorite! Their staff is ultra friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to all things outdoors. The difference between certain materials, the longer lasting vs the less lasting and more. They are on top of it! The quality of items here is insane. All their T's are crossed and I's dotted, in the sense that they are absolute perfection. We came across MANY fleece's, wind breakers and more that I was coveting, but one thing turned me off. ...the price. Holy Hell. Seriously? $589 for a coat? what about $280 for hiking boots? It must be made of gold and be the best coat & boots ever for that price. I couldn't justify purchasing something that expense and walked away empty handed. Holy retail customer service! Crystal is wonderful...let me describe the ways: bossy, informative, patient, and friendly. That is a killer combo for sure. Since I had already paid for parking in Cherry Creek and because I needed a pair of shorts I thought I would check out North Face's offerings. I had not purchased anything from North Face before and its reputation for high prices probably kept me away. That was a mistake on my part. While I was browsing the selection in this very well laid out and beautiful store, Crystal came over and asked if I needed help; usually I will brush off the salesperson, but when I'm looking for something specific I willingly accept assistance when offered. Usually I am underwhelmed and disappointed with customer service in the retail sector - this time I was definitely not. I told Crystal I was looking for some shorts and she immediately guided me through the available options. Pretty cool selection for the outdoorsy set - of which I don't belong since I would rather hike to a watering hole than Long's Peak, but you still need a convenient pocket to put your IPhone right? After selecting several options for me to try on, Crystal escorted me to the fitting room. As I tried one pair of shorts after another, disappointed with the fit and style of each one (for me) and was about to give up, Crystal brought over another pair and 'asked' me to try them on. I put the word asked in quotations because she was adamant that I try them. That's the bossy part, in a good way; I love confidence and expertise in general (who doesn't) and when you find it in a salesperson you need to trust them with their recommendations. The last pair of shorts not only fit, but they actually looked good on me, they had a good feel, and had the all-important convenient pocket for the IPhone. Plus they made me happy. Sold! As I walked to the register to pay I glanced at the price tag, $60. After I stopped hyperventilating and after taking a quick hit off my inhaler to regain my breathing abilities, I thought about what a pain it is for me to find the right piece of clothing. That was quite a lot for any piece of clothing and these were 'just' shorts. Was it worth the price, time, etc.? The answer was not quite yes in my mind at that point until I discussed the exorbitant price with Crystal at the register. She didn't push me to buy, but instead she listened to my gripe about the price, acknowledged my concern, and let me come to my own determination of whether or not it was worth it. Well played on her part! I caved and whipped out the plastic. I love these shorts...they are quality and look good. The North Face is a place where I will return because of this experience...I just have to save up or go when things are on sale. You will love this store too - yes, they are spendy and yes, you too will cringe when you turn the price tag over. Do yourself a favor and get over it. read more

To the only other person who reviewed this store: I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience. I had a pretty decent experience, though it was a one time deal. I was in an incredibly indecicive mood, close to when they close, and I took my sweet sweet time deciding on a fleece that I think I'll be very happy with. The people working there gave me input and were very kind... the only complaint I have is the parking validation I recieved didn't actually work in the garage I was told to park in. Lame. Also, the sleeves on many of thier products are too long for me. And I don't have stubby arms. But that's not an issue for this store... it's for the company in general. read more

I'm not much for outdoorsy type stores. Not my style most of the time and usually out of my budget. The BF and I were out shopping together in Cherry Creek and this was our last stop for the day. North Face is definitely a big staple of Cherry Creek and after walking in I can see why. Customer service is top notch and the people working ensure your experience here is enjoyable. There are choices for men, women, and kids. If you're looking for a sweatshirt, fleece, or winter jacket, this should be the place to come to first. I was surprised at how much the clothing appealed to me. They use quality fabric in the clothing, not the synthetic kind that disintegrates when washed. I can I see myself getting a lot of use out of the pieces offered here. I can cope with higher prices when I know I'm buying quality so no complaints in my book. I just came back from getting a pair of hacking pants from this store and I am not sure why it took me so long to write a review. I've been to this store numerous times and I LOVE everything about it. They have a large selection of clothing and accessories for men, women and children. You can never go wrong with the quality of TNF products. One of the best. Customer service is outstanding! Location is also pretty good. My husband, sister-in-law and I had a pleasant shopping experience here, thanks to a sales associate who knew what he was talking about. My sister-in-law is preparing for a trip to Patagonia, and was looking for some weatherproof pants. The rep directed us to the right rack immediately, and stayed with us to explain some of the differences between the types of pants, ending with what he recommended, based on weather conditions in South America. This place is well laid out, the staff is sooo friendly and helpful, i am pretty sure i was checked on no less than 7 times in the 10 minutes i was there checking out a new jacket for the ski season! Normally 100 bones, it was red, 63, and i wanted the shiny bubble coat material on it. So what? ill explain, my first Denali jacket was a high school must have. Black and white wind breakers came next for me, im exhausted of the adventure culture in general. Marmot was mentioned in conversation here, i dont know why, if it wasn't for the purple Patagonia womens jacket i owned in LA by golly i would count them second rate to TNF vs A1 (TNF) A1A (Patagonia). The North Face makes a very nice tri-climate jacket that turns into 3 different pieces altogether, it got me through enough cold spring time in Denver to recommend as a work-outside and inside solution. I like the product, but they are not the best product out there. The store is always well stocked, but the return policy is a little frustrating. I bought a jacket and I wanted to return it for a store credit, but they couldn't do it since I had lost the receipt and I was told that when I give them my name and phone number every time I have purchased something that it isn't saved. That is very annoying since I keep track of receipts for maybe 30 days (if I keep them at all) then throw them away. There is no purchase history and because of that, I will be wary of purchasing anything here in the future. read more

Purchased something here that was pretty overpriced (a jacket). When I had got home I realized there was a problem with it. I had taken it back to exchange it, but since I didn't have my receipt they gave me this huge problem. I had thrown it away, so I had to complain to a manager in order to get the replacement. I asked about 3-4 pieces of clothing and I got the whole background story. The girl helping me gave me direction on the basis of what outdoor activity I was about to engage in and I tried on the same pair of shoes in three different sizes and she didn't care! Awesome service! I ordered a pair of ski pants online, but they weren't the right size. I brought them in for an exchange. They didn't have what I wanted in stock (hey, it's Colorado in wintertime), but Peter did a great job of troubleshooting the situation and giving me options to make the exchange as painless as possible. Even though he was having wifi issues and couldn't get the exchange completed online for me, he ultimately got me a gift card which I was able to use to make the repeat purchase for myself later that day. He saved me a trip to FedEx to drop off the return, and more importantly, HE WAS NOT GIVING UP UNTIL HE GOT ME MY DAMN SKI PANTS . Lack of color choices 3 colors of only 1 pair of snow pants in December is ridiculous, and lack of dressing rooms to the point of being walked in on also plagues this location. The guys who work here are awesome! I wish I could remember everyone's names. I think Chris was one of the men who helped me. I spoke on the phone with him before I came in about my new North Force snow boots that started coming undone at the heels. I bought them at Sports Authority about a month ago and didn't have my receipt. The corporate office of Sports Authority was closed (or not picking up the phone), so I didn't get any help finding my receipt, but it probably wouldn't have mattered since it was likely passed 30 days from the day of purchase. (I bought the boots right after Christmas.) Anyway, Chris and his coworkers told me to come in, took a look at my unraveling boot, and made an exchange all in about 5 minutes! I was shocked at how accommodating they were! I didn't even buy the boots from them, and they were willing to help me! So glad that I called just to check if they could help.
