Hamburg's oldest pizzeria. Very consistent, quality ingredients, house made dough, sauce, sub oil. Family owned.... the father recently sold it to his 2 daughters... love it ! They bake all of their subs if thats your style. Recently remodeled. Try the Clam pizza (add sliced tomato).

We split these specials for lunch today.

Boyfriend and I were in the area running an errand and wandered a bit to find lunch. We ended up here and were able to enjoy lunch at a table outside. We quickly perused the menu and boyfriend wanted to share the taco and pizza special. Each meal comes with a 20 oz. bottled soft drink. I started with the pizza and was pleased to find the sauce wasn't sweet, as I hate a sweet sauce. We both agreed it wasn't really acidic either, but pretty neutral. I had a couple bites of the taco and knowing I'd never finish both items I gave it over to the boyfriend to finish. The taco was just ok in my opinion I added some hot sauce and then chose to crush the large slice instead. Delicious! Check this place out if you're in the area. We both left perfectly full for a very reasonable price.

Always have loved to come here as a kid and now as an adult bringing my kids here. I love the pizza and so do they !!! The service is friendly and fast ( I like to pre-order to make sure it's ready faster when I have the kids with me). I would definitely recommend this pizzeria. They have dining inside and outside - I would say I think 4 tables inside and maybe 5 or so outside. Very clean and comfortable inside or out. They have a lot to order on the menu so you can find anything for everyone.

Hamburg's oldest pizzeria, going here since grammar school

The Now Pizzaria has been open for 50 years on main St in Hamburg, NY. I have been coming to this Pizzaria for over 30 years, walking there in grammar school, high school, college, grad school, and as an adult when I'm back in WNY visiting friends and family. I've had numerous friends work here over the years. It's been a pizza institution in Hamburg. The quality has always been there, consistent for 50 years. The pizza, wings and sub sandwiches are always fantastic! Even tho my parents live 10-15 minutes south of The Now, I prefer to make the drive here for takeout vs anything in our smaller town, maybe it's nostalgic lol, but it's just always good. Give this place a try, there's a reason it's been open for 50 years! Here's to another 50 Now!! Sto Lat!

REVIEW # 30 NOW PIZZERIA MAIN ST. HAMBURG, NY SCORE 8.9 "Hamburgh's oldest pizzeria" (Who knew they used to spell Hamburg with an H at the end?) Let me start by saying, I've driven past this place a million times and never knew it was a pizzeria. Located directly in the village of Hamburg, you may recognize this place by the beautiful "Orange Crush" sign outside. I'm shocked nobody has ever recommended this place to me. Must be a well kept secret because the pizza here is top notch! I was pleasantly surprised. It looked a bit sloppy underneath the custom box but it didn't disappoint. To be completely honest, I want to give this a 9+ score, but I need a few more visits before putting in up there with the big dogs. I would highly recommend this pizza to anybody passing through Hamburgh'

Disappointed in the size of the chicken fingers we received. However, they were open on Easter, so points for that! Fingers tasted good. Fries were OK, mostly small pieces which I find happens often with curly-q.

    It's their broccoli pie, YUM!

Had to try another pizza place in Hamburg and hoping not to be disappointed again.. This place certainly DID NOT, service was great on the phone as I explained I'm disabled and it's hard for me to get from the car to a service counter, carrying it definitely not happening. So she was kind enough to bring everything out to my car. I spoke with Jody, one of the owners, first earlier in the day, and then to order my food, it was Julie, both ladies were kind and helpful. I ordered the broccoli pie w/o cheddar with mushrooms and extra extra well cooked. Reason I request pizza this way in WNY it's usually soggy , this certainly WASN'T nice and crispy and sturdy with a good chew. Seasonings were on point, ratio if cheese to toppings was perfect , the placement or dispersion of toppings was so well balanced, each bite, you got a little bit of each topping. So many pizzerias have uninterested employees, and they screw this up. These ladies are artists! From my understanding, this is the oldest running pizzeria in Hamburg since 1969 and their family has owned from about 1972, the daughters recently purchased the biz from the family, and to me they're doing a wonderful job. Im heading out of the country for a week or so , and when I return , my wife, I will stop in for a sit down. I will do a f9llow up review at that time. Maggiore Bene!

A fresh pepperoni pizza in the box.

This is my hometown pizzeria and I request pizza and wings every time I visit my parents. We tend to stick to the basics- mild or medium wings, pepperoni or sausage on a pizza. You don't need anything fancy (though the pictures they post if other toppings look delicious) their pizza is flavorful, hot, and just plain tasty. It's run by a lovely family. That used to live on our block. They do things with love and care and support the local community and western New York. So support them and treat yourself.

I was a little hesitant after reading several reviews that mentioned poor customer service, but we decided to give it a try anyway. Thankfully, our experience was much different. Our server was excellent. She was attentive, patient, and even offered drink samples when we were unsure what to order. For appetizers, I ordered the pizza flight featuring the stuffed banana pepper, stinger, and chicken spinach pizzas. The stuffed banana pepper wasn't really my favorite, but the stinger was absolutely delicious. The chicken spinach was good as well. While everything was enjoyable, nothing really wowed me. I also tried the French onion soup, which was flavorful, though I wasn't a fan of the heavy amount of Parmesan cheese on top. A friend ordered the garlic Parmesan wings and found them to be dry and overcooked. She ended up asking for extra sauce to help with the flavor and texture. Overall, I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience the pizza flights and see what Butera's had to offer. The service was great and the food was decent, but it wasn't memorable enough to bring me back for another visit.

We ordered from Papa's back in October on a random weekday I believe. Hubby read reviews that…read morehighly recommended the double cheese double pepperoni so that's what we went with. We went with the regular sauce (they also have a sweet sauce but we both dislike sweet sauce). It was great! The pizza was well done with nicely cup and char pepperoni, and the cheese were good quality (Sorrento now rebranded as Galbani) unlike some pizza places that use subpar mozzarella cheese. There was definitely double cheese and double pepperoni, but we both agreed that it was just too much cheese and next time we would just get regular cheese but still with double pepperoni. Well, there was a Sunday Bills game a few weeks later so we decided to call ahead to place an order with the double pepperoni. We called on Saturday morning and paid over the phone and everything. Planned pickup around halftime so hubby could go pick it up. We got home and were severely disappointed. It looked like double cheese with regular pepperoni, and the pizza looked undercooked where there was absolutely no char on the cheese or the pepperoni. At that price point, we decided to call and complain (which is something we pretty much never do). They offered to make us a new one and we offered to bring back the bad one, but they said to keep it or toss it. Hangry Hubby left during the second half to go pick up the second pizza which he opened to see while there and it looked the same as the first one! It was busy and by that point he was mentally done. He came home, we unhappily ate some of the underbaked pizza that was ridiculously cheesy with not enough pepperoni, and hubby swore to never order from there again. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures from both times for visuals cause that's how I usually am with pizzas - I see it, I forget about everything else and I eat it, immediately. LOL One thing to note - hubby did say that the first time he went there, there was a guy who looked like he might have been the owner (or at least someone in charge) that made the delicious pizza. And on the day of the Bills game he didn't see that guy. So, perhaps that's the difference maker. However, at $35-40 a pizza, we are NOT willing to deal with the inconsistent quality. This was extremely disappointing because hubby has not found a pizza place he likes in Hamburg since we moved here 7 years ago (our absolute favorite is the original Santora's in Depew, or Imperial or La Nova). So, back to not having any decent pizza places we can order from in Hamburg again... blargh!

Upon arriving, the hostess told us that the outdoor reservation actually means nothing and its first come first serve for seating. So, that wasn't great. As always, the space was great. The rooftop bar was fantastic - great weather and a live DJ made it a really fun place to hang out on a Friday night. The bar upstairs didn't have as good of a cocktail menu as inside, which was okay! We ordered our food directly at the bar. Black Smoke used to have a delicious BBQ inspired menu. They have recently updated their menu, and I wasn't impressed. We ordered the Mac and cheese croquettes, the steak flatbread, and the chips and dip. The Mac and cheese balls were good but they were very heavily seasoned with Italian seasoning - it was a little overpowering. I had heard great things about the steak flatbread - steak, goat cheese, caramelized onions, and fresh spring greens. The flatbread arrived and was cut into these little triangles and was stacked on top of eachother and the spring greens seemed like they were cooked on the pizza instead of sprinkled on after. This made the flatbread taste kind of swampy and completely negated the delicious onion and flat cheese combo going on. If you got a bite without the spring greens it was tasty. The chips and dip were the one thing I had no issues with. The chips were thick and homemade and the dip was creamy, oniony, and delicious! Overall, the bartenders were amazing, the drinks were good, and the vibes were top tier. I just won't be back for dinner any time soon.
