    Sausage sub

We stopped in to Edie's as a quick stop for me and my kids. Never heard of the place, but it was there when we needed food. Walking in, the aroma offers you a warm hug of anticipation. The host/order taker/server was extremely kind and professional. Two slice, a sub, and rings came out pretty slowly because everything seems made-to-order. Kids loved their cheese pizzas enough that I couldn't try a bite. The onion rings were filled with thick-cut Spanish onions- solid! The breading was a little too smooth for my liking, but the overall flavor of the rings were good enough to order a second time. The sausage sub was delicious, took me two meals to finish. Totally recommend coming here.

Ordered a large cheese / pepperoni pizza to go. We had to wait when picking it up since it seemed busy but only a few minutes. The pizza was well done as we asked for and was delicious. We will absolutely order again!

Shawn's Pizza Reviews REVIEW # 24 EDIE'S PIZZA & SUBS BUFFALO ST. HAMBURG, NY SCORE 7.8 Nice large pizzeria located directly on a roundabout in the town of Hamburg. Very friendly staff with a dine-in area. The pizza has a great taste. It was a bit too greasy though, pouring off the slice as I tried to eat it. I do slightly prefer Nino's which is a few blocks away, but Edie's can definitely give them a run for their money!

A staple pizza place in the southtowns! Service was fast and friendly, they are staying smart and strict with their Covid-19 rules. Social Distancing is created in their dining room and hand sanitizer is provided as well. Of course the food tastes amazing and they have daily specials!! I highly recommend and always bring mg out of state family here for some Buffalo Wings!! Also, the decorating each season is phenomenal and really brings me joy.

I ordered an egg breakfast sandwich with home fries and an apple juice, which came out to about $25. While the food itself was a bit on the bland side and felt a little limited for the price, the ambiance really stands out. It's a great place to catch up with friends or family over brunch and enjoy a warm, welcoming vibe. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way to revisit, but I'm glad I stopped in and appreciated the atmosphere.

Here's where it all fell down. After placing my order, I turned my back, reading the menu. Then I heard the microwave "ding" and saw my pain au chocolat removed. Really?? (I once had a Cordon Bleu-trained pastry chef explain that croissants should never be re-heated because it ruins the scaffolding of the butter/flour feuille, or "sheets"). I then tried the various seats in the Danish-style cafe. Stool? No love: They're metal and lack cushions. Chairs at the tables were also metal. I settled in an honest-to-God church pew: The kind the Puritans used, to reflect upon their sins. Do yourself a favor and get your treats to go.

I'd never before seen sourdough croissants or cheese danishes; there's an abundance of gorgeous loaves/boules for sale. (Cheese fondue supplies! Yes!!). A baker's rack to the right sells day-old bread at discounted prices (make your own croutons!) I opted for an almond (sourdough) croissant and a small coffee; I was asked if I wanted a mug or a to go cup? I was given a beautiful glazed mug - very charming! Two things worth mentioning: There's a small seating area downstairs, and five large tables upstairs. The stairs? A polite way of describing them is, "grandfathered-in". The rise/run makes it difficult to navigate if you're in thick boots, carrying a child, or have stiff knees. The pastry had a beautiful crunch. I enjoyed the almond flavor. And then I found: cherry preserves? I'm aware that "croissant et confiture" (eaten with jam) is a standard French breakfast, but it did change the mouth feel of the treat. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something earthier and beautifully executed.

I love their croissants, they always have new flavors and they are filled with cream. So yummy!!!read more

For those who have never been, there's two entry points; the front (from the street), is wheelchair friendly, while the back (from the parking lot) has some stairs. There are two single bathrooms available in this place. If you're dining in, you can order at the counter and they'll bring the food to your table. Regardless you need to order at the counter anyway. They always have a great selection of baked goods and coffee, plus specialty drinks on rotation. They offer light breakfast and lunch if you don't want just a coffee and pastry. They sell gifts and ground/bean coffee along with flavored syrups. For this particular trip, I ventured in to get lavender syrup (Torani). I treated myself to a specialty rotating drink (Hansel and Gretel frozen coffee - frozen coffee with gingerbread and white chocolate). I also purchased a blueberry muffin and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin (also a rotation dessert specialty). All were excellent, as par for course here. I don't hear at all but speak well, so the kind lady at the front grabbed a pad and writing utensil to communicate with me, which was very helpful and so we both were on the same page. It was very appreciated. Another reason I love this place, they're so accommodating

The beef is wrapped in a flour tortilla with provolone, creamy horseradish, salt & caraway seeds & finished in a panini press. It comes with chips and a pickle but I upgraded to fries. My choices were straight cut, waffle or sweet potato so I opted for waffle fries. I would definitely order it again. Everyone enjoyed their food, too busy talking to take pics but some of their options were the beer cheddar soup, corned beef quesadilla, burger, chicken sandwich, roast beef on white bread with mashed potatoes & gravy.
