We ordered from Papa's back in October on a random weekday I believe. Hubby read reviews that highly recommended the double cheese double pepperoni so that's what we went with. We went with the regular sauce (they also have a sweet sauce but we both dislike sweet sauce). It was great! The pizza was well done with nicely cup and char pepperoni, and the cheese were good quality (Sorrento now rebranded as Galbani) unlike some pizza places that use subpar mozzarella cheese. There was definitely double cheese and double pepperoni, but we both agreed that it was just too much cheese and next time we would just get regular cheese but still with double pepperoni. Well, there was a Sunday Bills game a few weeks later so we decided to call ahead to place an order with the double pepperoni. We called on Saturday morning and paid over the phone and everything. Planned pickup around halftime so hubby could go pick it up. We got home and were severely disappointed. It looked like double cheese with regular pepperoni, and the pizza looked undercooked where there was absolutely no char on the cheese or the pepperoni. At that price point, we decided to call and complain (which is something we pretty much never do). They offered to make us a new one and we offered to bring back the bad one, but they said to keep it or toss it. Hangry Hubby left during the second half to go pick up the second pizza which he opened to see while there and it looked the same as the first one! It was busy and by that point he was mentally done. He came home, we unhappily ate some of the underbaked pizza that was ridiculously cheesy with not enough pepperoni, and hubby swore to never order from there again. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures from both times for visuals cause that's how I usually am with pizzas - I see it, I forget about everything else and I eat it, immediately. LOL One thing to note - hubby did say that the first time he went there, there was a guy who looked like he might have been the owner (or at least someone in charge) that made the delicious pizza. And on the day of the Bills game he didn't see that guy. So, perhaps that's the difference maker. However, at $35-40 a pizza, we are NOT willing to deal with the inconsistent quality. This was extremely disappointing because hubby has not found a pizza place he likes in Hamburg since we moved here 7 years ago (our absolute favorite is the original Santora's in Depew, or Imperial or La Nova). So, back to not having any decent pizza places we can order from in Hamburg again... blargh! read more

We placed our first order and had it delivered from the Amherst location. We absolutely love the sweet sauce! We also requested crispy extra saucy chicken wings and they were cooked to perfection! We will definitely be ordering on a more regular basis! read more

Leaving this review strictly on the food itself and not the service or establishment as I wasn't the one who picked the food up. The boss (thanks boss) ordered us pizza and wings for our hard work for an event that day. I've never had Papas, so I had no idea what to expect. The pizza was made of sweet sauce which I'm normally not a huge fan of. The sauce was perfect as it wasn't overly sweet. The wings were crispy which I loved! I thought the wings could've been a little more saucier, but they were still really good. Papas is definitely worth checking out. read more

Tried the new pizza joint tonight after hearing several great reviews. We called from home to order, but let them know we'd be eating at the restaurant. 45min-1hour was the wait time. Busy, but it is Saturday! We ordered the half cheese/pepperoni and a dozen wings, half medium/half bbq. The pizza was outstanding! Tons of cheese and a great mix of pizza to satisfy those who love crust and those who don't. The wings were OK. Some were a little rubbery, but we did not ask for crispy which we will be doing next time. They make their own blue cheese which was very good, heavy on the garlic but in a good way. I thought the pricing was very reasonable compared to other places in the area. We will definitely be back! read more

Sat on hold for 8 min, got there and they weren't very busy, just got distracted and forgot me. Pizza order was wrong they forgot to include a topping that I paid for. When I called they offered me a 10% discount on another pizza! Not even enough to cover the topping I paid for and didn't receive I even tipped more than that! They are very inconsistent. My favorite pizza! I LOVE the sweet sauce. Haven't tried anything else yet. My only complaint is some locations will let you do half the pizza sweet, half regular. We were ordering like this for awhile when suddenly they said they couldn't because it would burn. Because of this, we're unable to order as much as we would like. We have ordered from Papa's several times and have had good experiences and a very bad experience. After our bad experience I did speak with the manager and she offered to credit our account for the entire order. Last night we placed an order, using our credit and adding additional items. Even though the order was not ready when expected, about an additional 10 minutes - everything was EXCEPTIONAL!!! We had a large double cheese/pepperoni pizza, 1/2 of steak and 5 cheese, 1/2 of chicken bacon ranch pizza and an order of chicken wings. The pizzas were all done perfectly - absolutely delicious. The wings had good flavor and although not crispy - that very easily could have been due to taking home in a box after picking up, they were good and would be ordered again. Pizza is great but they stopped picking up the phone. A recording plays stating their hours and then it says "Goodbye" and hangs up. Not even a prompt to hold. They are not accepting online orders either on a Saturday evening. No explanation. This happened last week as well. I wanted to make Papa's my go-to pizza but not with this complete absence of any kind of service. Can't recommend until they have figured out how to meet demand for their product. read more

Love that you can order easily online and do half and half on a 10 wing order. Split wings 5 hot and 5 garparm and was very happy. Wings were crispy and flavorful. Pizza was also easy to order half and half with multiple toppings. Staff has been very friendly every visit. Prices seem to be lower than most the competition also. read more

This would now be the second time my order was not what I ordered in a row. Custom ordered pizzas are not being performed properly just default and ignore the rest. Love!!!! The sweet sauce and homemade blue cheese are amazing! Anytime I come into town I must get food!

Be warned, your pizza fills up the entire box. We've tried the traditional, chicken finger and the steak and 5 cheese. All were outstanding.

Went there for dinner and was very disappointed, there was a thirty minute wait for the half pizza we ordered. The pizza was burned and the crust was black all around which mad it taste horrible. Will never go there again!!!! read more
