Rooster salad with Ahi
Vi N.

My FIL brought us here and can I tell you, 10000% I will be going back!! Not only was everything we ordered delicious, but the service was outstanding and the restaurant is so cute inside! As a family it's hard to find easy going sit down restaurants and this is now a go to for me. For drinks we got the Bee Keeper, the Perfect Pear, Blackberry Old Fashioned and Rooster Mule. The bee keeper was a LITTLE sweet for me, but anything with honey is a little sweeter than my taste. All of them were very well done and I would absolutely order again. Food wise we had the steak bites which was MORE than enough for a main, calamari fries, rooster salad with tuna, sausage and mushroom pizza and a kids pepperoni pizza. The steak bites were well seasoned, the sauces on the side were delicious, and the toast was tasty as well. The salad was ENORMOUS and definitely worth the price! The pizzas were good too, I'm not a huge pizza girl but I would definitely eat those again. All in all for price, portions, and flavors as well as incredible and attentive service I would absolutely come back to Rooster Creek.

Roosters walking wild in Arroyo Grande.

Did an Arroyo Grande day, fun time stopping at all the historic spots. Noticed wild roosters around town and so when I saw this restaurant I had to get lunch there!! Friendly service, dined on their patio. Lots of interesting items on the menu, although the menu I saw online was different. The item I would have ordered is now tweaked to be spicy!! Don't know why all the restaurants need to have SPICY food. Ordered a non-spicy turkey sandwich and salad. Both were yummy. Would definitely dine here again.

We decided to try Rooster Creek Tavern on our way to the airport--OMG what an excellent decision! It was a whole vibe from start to finish. My daughter ordered the Tuna Poke--oh my... that's all I have to say! The presentation was absolutely stunning, and in her words, it tasted like five-star dining. My mom went with the BLTA and a side salad, which was just as delicious. I had the classic BLT with Parmesan garlic fries--everything was bursting with flavor, and the bacon was perfectly crispy (my favorite part!). My boyfriend ordered a side Caesar salad, and it was so fresh and flavorful. If you're headed through San Luis Obispo, you have to check this place out. You won't regret it!

Love this restaurant. You can eat inside or outside which is nice. It's in the middle of the valley, lot of restaurants and stores that you can go to. Parking lot in the back, and there's the famous historic swinging bridge. I had pacific salmon, it comes with a good portion of salmon, steamed rice and chiliflake broccolini. My husband got steak and chips, the truffle fries was really good, and the sauce!! We had the soup of the day, Italian sausage with kale and garlic bread. Our server is really nice and gave my in laws suggestions of what they could have. Definitely a thumbs up

Tuna Poke w/Side Salad...

Another dining experience at Rooster Creek. If has been awhile since our last visit. We called ahead ...no wait and upon arrival, we were seated at a table on the outside patio. The ambiance was casual and the restaurant had a nice "buzz" going on, as apparently other patrons expectations were being met. The nice weather made patio dining desirable and gave us a nice view. Our Server for this experience, Jeni Joe, held her own as far as her Customer Service. The highlight here was that the food was really spot on. Our 4 top table order consisted of Drinks first...a Cali Squeeze - 5/5 ( very nice and refreshing), a Mai Tai - 5/5 and a Beer. Appetizer: Nachos w/Steak - 5/5 (really great nachos, w/plenty of toppings for the chips), a Rooster Burger - 5/5, the Tuna Poke w/Side Salad - 4/5, a Cobb Salad w/Chicken - 5/5 and a Beet Salad w/ extra Goat Cheese - 5/5 (flavor alert...yummy). All dishes served really "hit the spot" as did the food presented for our previous visit. Consistently good food is a pretty good reason to give this restaurant a try for yourself. One of the members of our party happened to be celebrating a Birthday and Jeni Joe made sure he received a free Ice Cream Sunday (nice!). All in all our time here at Rooster Creek was well spent. On this occasion, in this Yelper's opinion...Rooster creek in Arroyo Grande made the grade and truly earned this "highly recommend - the food is worth the visit" 5 Star review.

Located in downtown Arroyo Grande, Rooster Creek is place is such a vibe - I can't believe I waited so long to make it here! They have an extensive amount of TVs located inside and outside, perfect for catching a game with friends. Their outdoor patio is expansive and just lovely; we love dining out here for dinner! Their nachos are AMAZING and I highly recommend ordering them if you are visiting. We order them every time we go. Their buffalo wings are also to die for! They have a large drink menu, as well as a full bar so there is an option for everyone! Highly recommend Rooster Creek if you're looking for an all around great restaurant to get a burger, salad, sandwich, or apps, and some delicious drinks!

Reminder to arrive early even in the winter when it's mostly locals! This is a great bar and restaurant that serves burgers, pizza, and comfort food. We arrived shortly after 5 o'clock and there was a 25 minute wait for the two of us and all of the bar seats were full. We ordered their basic burger and a pepperoni pizza to share. The burgers are half pound and come with your choice of a side. We chose regular french fries. The burger was cooked perfectly to medium well as we had ordered it. Juicy and tender. Comes on a brioche bun with the usual accoutrements of lettuce tomato and dill pickles. No dressing on the bun so be sure to ask for what you like. The pizza was thin crust and chewy with a crispy edge, We ordered extra cheese and I'm glad we did. The wait staff was really busy but our server, Summer, was friendly and gave us our time. The hosts were friendly and seated as soon as possible. It could be a little loud but that's to be expected in this type of establishment.

Rarely do I walk away from a dining experience where the quality of service and quality of food fight to outshine one another, but this was one of those spots. Our server, a German gentleman, was the consummate professional- always friendly, never overstepping, and added such a warm dimension to our meal. The fried green tomatoes and the white beet appetizers were standouts. I especially loved the vinegary dressing on the greens of the beet dish. For mains, we got the leek olive potato pizza, the ribeye, and the wood fire poached halibut. The avocado chimichurri that accompanied the ribeye was the perfect balance, and the sautéed greens under the fish were savory with the right amount of bite. I also liked their selection of mocktails; the pink pony club was a particular standout. All this for $200 was a better price tag than I was expecting, but most importantly, it got the stamp of approval from my notoriously picky grandmother and uncle. This spot is worth the drive.

Started with a Butterleaf Wedge which is unique and tasty. Great buttermilk dressing. Really enjoyed it. My grandson had the 50 Layer Lasagna. He loved it. My wife had the La Rustichella Garganelli. Very nice pasta dish but a tad on the drier side. She liked it. I had the Pollo Al Mattone which is a half chicken cooked under a brick. Moist with an unbelievable flavor. The polenta slice was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Wood fire smell, clean bathrooms, etc.

Seemed to close early, 8pm, for a brewery, but I guess it's a quieter area. Arrived past 7, hoping we can still get food and we were still good for food and beer! Ms. Kristie was so efficient and friendly and awesome, hustling back and forth from reception to seating and dropping by to check on all the patrons. Like a one woman show! I went for the Peanut butter falcon since I like a good brown beer. The peanut butter was initially nice, but it kinda became tiring as the sips went along, since peanut butter seemed a bit much over the beer. Got wife the German Pilsner and that was excellent! Smooth with a hint of malty sweetness too! I am thinking maybe the Lawn Order blonde ale is probably going to be great as well, but too full from late lunch to consume more than one. For food, went with the birria melt and the salmon salad. Birria melt had some awesome authentic flavors to it! Kid devoured it with the consomme. I enjoyed a quarter of it, but too full, so worked out perfect since kid didn't want to share more either, lol. Salmon salad was perfect! Pan seared on both side for that wonderful crust yet tender goodness. Salad dressing with cherry and almond slices made this salad so enjoyable while staying lighter. Was not expecting such salmon from a brewery, excellent food here! Locals seem to love this place too until closing time I guess, since a group that seemed to be bar hopping arrived exceited when we got there too:)

The restaurant is located right next to the train station, and they had a dedicated carpark, but it also seemed like street parking was readily available nearby as well. The outdoor dining area was pleasant and had heaters available. Once we arrived, we were seated promptly and brought menus and water. They also kindly brought water for our dog, even without us asking them for it. We shared two appetizers, including the ceviche and tostada. Both were excellent, fresh and full of flavor. For mains, I got the misoyaki butterfish, while my husband had the bouillabaisse. I was jealous that he decided to order this because I don't like ordering the same main as someone else I'm dining with, but the jealousy dissipated once I got the butterfish. It was coated in a sweet teriyaki sauce which it paired wonderfully with, and the texture was pleasant and soft. It was served atop a bed of wild rice and greens. The bouillabaisse was also superb. It's hard to imagine that their other main dishes are better than these two, though I'm sure they're also great. We couldn't go past the lime and coconut creme brulee for dessert. Both of us couldn't get enough of this. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. We had everything we needed and never needed to flag her down for anything. Someone else, perhaps the owner, came out and asked us how our meal was while we were eating which was a nice touch. I'd recommend this as a must-visit if you're in the Pismo Beach area.

Note that the parking lot, depending on which day you go, can fill up very quickly. The location is right off of the 101 and easy to find. We checked in and was seated within 10 minutes at a booth that overlooked the beautiful views of the Pismo Beach coast line. Our server, a younger black woman, who told us her nickname was 'TiTi', if I'm not mistaken, was wonderful. Her personality and hospitality was infectious and exceeded 5 stars. She brought us fresh hot corn and flour tortillas with a small cup of brown sugar butter and three different salsas to try. Everything was delicious. We ordered the surf and turf special which was a jumbo shrimp on top of a filet mignon that rested on mash potatoes and a creamy/savory white sauce. We also ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. Everything was exceptionally good. My only takeaway would be that I found the food, especially the lobster Mac and cheese to be pretty salty. Definitely excited for my next visit.

We had a reservation for a birthday dinner and arrived about 30 minutes early. We were told we'd be seated closer to our reservation time, which was completely understandable. However, as we waited, we watched several groups (including walk-ins without reservations) get seated before us. Even after our reservation time had passed, we had to check in with the host again before we were finally seated, despite there being plenty of empty tables. The service at the front definitely could have been handled better. The food, on the other hand, was very good with a great variety of options. I loved that they start you off with freshly made tortillas, cinnamon butter, and salsa to share. I ordered the Campechana de Mariscos, which was fresh, generously portioned, and perfect for sharing. We also had the Molcajete, and it was delicious! It came with a great mix of steak, chicken, chorizo, jumbo shrimp, nopal, and cheese. The portion was generous and easily enough for two people. Other dishes we ordered also included the pozole, chicken nachos, and lobster mac and cheese. Everything was delicious as well! The mac and cheese especially. For drinks, I tried the Golden Hour nonalcoholic cocktail, and unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. It tasted like watered-down ginger beer with no carbonation and only the faintest hint of pineapple. It was more on the bitter taste. Overall, this is a great restaurant for the ocean views and flavorful food. The portions are generous, and there's something for everyone on the menu. The only downside was the host service and the unnecessary wait despite having a reservation. I'd still come back for the food and the scenery.
