Whoa! Looks are deceiving. This red & white truck w it's theater bulbs brightness parked on an immaculate patch of green w red picnic tables is so colorful & inviting. But, apparently it does a lot of seafood frying so um, perhaps regular oil changes? Old oil ruins fresh seafood & anything else for that matter. It was wholly apparent that the oil was old when we bit into our whole belly clams. They were soggy, not crunchy, or even tender on the inside. And the Kraft soybean tarter sauce? Yuk. We had the 50/50 basket with scallops and haddock and it was really good. And at a good price too! The service was friendly and the food was quick. Sitting under the canopy at the picnic tables was very nice on that sunny day. Also, the horse trailer out back has been converted into a bathroom that is nice and clean. Wife approved. read more

There are a lot of really great lobster rolls to be had in Maine and this was definitely one of my favorites. Well-seasoned, good cole slaw and they even give you antibacterial wipes with every order, much appreciated in covid times. Amazing lobster roll and french fries! We got the twin lobster roll, one with butter and one with mayo. The amount of lobster meat is very filling on the hot dog roll, they give you the option if you want lettuce and celery with the mayo roll. The french fries are crinkle style which I love from food trucks, the Cole slaw tasted just like KFC which I am a sucker for. read more

We were pretty disappointed in our meal they other day. They really need to change their oil, all of the fried food we ordered was very oily and had a burnt old oil taste. Very disappointing when you are ordering $22 dollar fried clams meal and you can't even finish them. The fries were saturated with grease, we all felt stomach aches after eating. The lobster roll was uninspiring but the coleslaw was very tasty. I def won't be back. read more

It was cold, so we ate in the car on our drive back down to Boston from Bailey Island. I had to have some more seafood before we left, and I hadn't yet had clam strips on our trip. Hubs had the lobster roll. The lobster roll (hot and buttered) was the best lobster roll we'd had of the 4 different lobster rolls we tried on our lobster-vacation. Clam strips and large shrimp box was the bomb, with the homemade tartar sauce. Skip the packaged cocktail and tartar. Coleslaw was fresh and delicious. Big juicy chunks of delectable knuckle and claw meat, finely minced celery, just the right amount of seasoning, and a perfectly toasted and buttered roll....this sandwich was minimum mayo and maximum meat, mmmmm. My boyfriend had the 50/50 burger, which is half beef half bacon . It is a good idea in theory but in execution it's not all that great. The bacon mixed into the patty makes it overly fatty and chewy. My boyfriend and I think the bacon should have been cooked first and then added to the top so it could retain it's crispiness. Fried clams are my absolute fav food. Was thrilled to see whole belly clams on their menu and even more excited when I tasted them. Easily the best place to get lobster rolls in the area. I was a little turned off by the fact that it was cash only, but it was so worth it. I tried both the sweet lobster roll and the cold version. This place is right off the side of the road in a little field like area - but boy do not drive by! The truck is adorable. The seating area they have is equally adorable. All I can say is yesssssssss, fressshhhhhh and thee besssstttttt. The oldest food truck in the U.S. for a reason. The freshest frikkin haddock evah!!! Everything we had was so super fresh. The service was great with very personable crew including the sweetest and most polite young man working with his family for the Summer. I like their menu selections and also the mix & match options. There's benches and umbrella coverage and they're kept nice & clean. This is what you hope for when you come to a place like Maine. Stopped at this food truck for our first lobster roll during our east coast vacation. This seemingly family run truck, had a pleasant pre-teen fella helping at the cash and did a great job. Everyone was friendly and the food was good. We had a fresh, cold lobster roll with mayo - as opposed to the hot roll with butter. The bread used was also fresh, soft and slightly toasted - all making a perfect combo. We also received a side of homemade slaw - the sweet, creamy kind, which was good. We added 2 clam cakes. We weren't sure what to expect with the cakes, but they were crispy, deep fried, and had little bits of clams throughout a stuffing/breading mixture. We were pleasantly surprised and found them addicting - especially with the homemade tartar sauce (which we paid extra for). It was a slightly pricey lunch for what we are used to, but the quality was clearly there and we would do it again. There was a clear local following as well, so you know it's good! Simple and extremely cute food truck with a decent amount of menu options. Very yummy lobster rolls. Prices were as expected. Fries and coleslaw were tasty as well. Picnic tables available to sit at if you want. We went during rain storm so we ate in our car and did not mind it one bit.
