I started coming to The Office about a week ago, been twice so far. Both times have been great. Everybody there is extremely nice and welcoming. I've gone on Tuesday nights so far, and the atmosphere is great. The first night I went, I ordered a Rusty Nail, and it was great! There is karaoke, pool, and of course drinks! Not to mention the best burger in town! So far I have been enjoying myself at The Office, and I hope it continues and becomes a staple of my "get away" from life. I have been to a lot of bars and The people work at The Office are very nice but when I go to a cocktail bar the ability to mix a cocktail is important I forgave the fact the bartender had no idea how to make a Vodka Gimlet- Martini ( Vodka and Gin or Vesper with both) - an old fashion but I thought how could they screw up a Gin and Tonic. Here's how, evidently they only had tonic in can so to conserve the available supply the mixture was 4 parts Gin to one part tonic. If your goal is getting irresponsibly drunk that's great but if you just want an adult beverage this is an extremely heavy pour . I assume the top shelf demand is small a because their top shelf selection is close to non existent. Let me tell you something My Hemet Valley Friends, I was driving through Hemet to San Jacinto to drop off my young lady friend, and an ol friend shared with me about this little spot that has the greatest drinks and bartenders, but where it gets even Better, they have a very busy kitchen attached, "Magilla's Grilla" I believe it was called. I had axed some folks/regulars there at the Bar "what's up with this kitchen, it smells Delicious, and busy". That same good Ol feller handed me the Specials, and Said "if ya have a hard time choosing let me know. And he was right, it all looked and smelt delicious. I finally choose a Dirty Birdy or sumpn' like that, and my you're lady friend had the best Gillys Italian Sausage. Had a good time here, drinks are really reasonably priced and crowd is fun to watch. Karaoke guy is pretty rude though, this is the second time I have seen him, he was at Derby's the time before and he just has a bad attitude. Talked condescending to me and seems to have favorites that he caters to when it comes to singing, certain people will sing multiple times before another even sings once. Just really not a pleasant person. I get tired of having people who in any other setting but hemet would be a complete nobody reject, acting like they are superior, like revenge of the nerds meets mean girls! Seriously, take it down a notch, you just host karaoke at a dive bar, you're not that cool to be talking down anyone the way you do. So off from the beginning on entering the security with long hair is pretty rude , and the entrance is pretty tight walking through due to a few tipsy people. The bartender is really cool and very attentive considering lots of others are ordering drinks as well . You get your cup to the rim unlike other spots we're your pint or quart is half foam , good prices on all drinks even with the ipas. Also got 2 tables to shoot pool on and lots of funny karaoke as well as some good ones ! I haven't tried any of there food but kitchen looks really clean so there is a spot to order from . Both joke I was basically removed from premises because I questioned owner how he was going to make money if he is closing down at 8pm. Food is amazing, people are amazing, the drinks are amazing. I personally only go on Wednesday's and Sunday's because Jackie is working and she is very attentive, she has a great personality, and she makes bomb drinks. DeeDee works the other days and she is not friendly, she's impatient, rude, she cusses people out for wanting to order a drink. Definitely unprofessional, I learned my lesson Friday night, I will not go to the office until Jackie is working. This has to be one of the oddest bars I've ever encountered. We were in Hemet by mistake. Actually, I think Hemet is in California by mistake, but that's a different review. We were stuck in Hemet overnight and decided to check out the nightlife. There are 3 other bars we visited before arriving at The Office, each of which would earn scathing reviews. The Office is ... well, it's kinda fun in an odd way. There's karaoke going on right behind an active pool table. The crowd is mixed, mostly older. And there's definitely a GILF thang happening. We were surprised by how flirty all the seniors were. There's also an interesting mix of music (oldies, pop and country music all coexist comfortably here at The Office). The clientele was very, very nice. Sometimes a little too nice. Which made the evening quite fun. I got to witness one older gentleman hitting on an older lady, using pick-up lines I haven't heard since watching "Laugh-In." The lines worked ... she went home with him. It was high-larious! The beer and wine selection were sooooo poor that we went with cocktails. The cocktails were fine. Nothing fancy. Reasonably priced. Go for the visuals, stay for the sociological analysis. Seriously. Update - they expanded the bar by using space from the store next door, cutting out the adjoining wall. The new space has two pool tables, dart board, and plenty of bar stools. Flat screens have been hung high in both the new and older space. Now there's even a small dance floor! This new look makes the bar more open and less crowded! Steve's still the karaoke host - and still as fantastic as ever. He's even got his own laptop now, which holds all of his songs.... which means MORE songs than before! Love it :) read more

I came here to check out the "open mic" set up and I didn't really know what to think. So I put that aside and had a Guinness and shared a sampler platter with a friend I hadn't seen in 2 years instead. The sampler platter: stuffed mushrooms, jalapeño poppers, cheese sticks, buffalo wings and french fries for about 12 bones. Was it to die for? No, but it was good enough for us! And our server was really nice. Not something I expect at a dive bar. It got loud really fast and I heard everything from Adele to Sublime. We were there for the soundcheck and heard the drummer drumming along to each song that played. I was content. It's quite small inside, but it packs a punch. The "stage" area is big enough for a drum set and maybe a set of speakers. On the other side (the expansion), you'll find some pool tables and a jukebox. It feels like I was hanging out in a friend's basement, so I felt at ease the entire time. I didn't see anybody that was younger than 40 there, and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I come here for the Karaoke. Karaoke is every night except on Wednesdays. Karaoke starts at 8 I think. Karaoke guy is friendly. Its an older crowd but everybody is laid back and friendly. Great bartenders. Very reasonably priced drinks. The venue is small so it can get a little crowded on the weekends but they have an outside patio. Love this bar! Wish I could get over there more since we're a bit outside of the area. No worries--we've been following our pal Steve the KJ all over the Inland Empire so we don't mind the little skip over to Hemet. Anyway, Steve host's karaoke six nights a week Thurs-Tues and they have local, live band on Weds. If you're looking for a hopping 20's only night club, keep looking. If you're cool for a true neighborhood bar that's also welcoming to new faces, new singers, etc, check it out. Steve updated his system to digital (way more songs!), they knocked out a wall to move the pool table over, added some pinball machines and a dart board, and put in a dance floor in front of the karaoke stage. Looks great! Previous reviewers entertained that the older crowd still find hook-ups but if you're not looking for that, plenty of other folks that are just there to talk or sing and you can just join them. :-) Hope to see you there sometime... read more

I loved this place since I was 21 years old, when it was Johnnies, but now the place has went down hill!!! I have frequented this establishment several times and always enjoyed the bartenders! Though, when ordering food you are lucky to receive food from a individual that does not have an attitude or walking and talking as if they have been drinking all night! The kitchen door is always left open and in filth and disarray! If you plan on going to the office have a drink, but stay away from the food! This place needs to be cleaned up, new owners (constantly drunk and rude) and new cooks, but the bartenders are a keeper in my book!!! read more

I only have one negative thing to say. There is no where to get my groove on! Since switching up a few things this place has become a great friendly place to be. I enjoy the company and the staff, but sometimes you just want to give your booty a good shake. It is nice to have another place to go to play some pool or sing some karaoke. I invited a friend to meet me at the Office last night, and I have to say I was a little embarrassed. The AC was either not working or not on. It was very uncomfortable, but we tried to be good sports about it and stayed to sing 2 songs. I noticed there was ONE ceiling fan in the middle of the room on LOW. I also saw another contraction between the two rooms which looked like a huge fan. The only Time I felt relief was when I went up to sing where a box fan was facing straight at me. But, any singer will tell you that the worse thing to sing in a windy or DRY conditions. The plumber sitting next to us explained that he works all day in the heat and the last thing he wants is to go to a place where he is SWEATING while trying to enjoy his beverage. I hope this was just an unfortunate temporary problem. I will be sure to call ahead to ask if the AC is on prior to my going especially when inviting friends. Sorry for the long message. read more

Has karaoke regularly, beer AND liquor, 2 pool tables and decent food. Pros: great prices. Cons: Their glasses are never cold - they need a better way to have their glasses chilled. You can't drink in their enclosed smoking patio, emergency exit in the patio is also boarded shut. Depending if this particular bartender is working, expect long wait times, you'll stand there and have to wait until she is done talking to whomever at the bar top. read more

Take it or leave it but I found that on my first karaoke experience the old 'bastards' were found to be lots of fun, very talented (singing some very difficult oldies tunes with enormous passion) and very congenial....a very sweet and surprising night of pool, food and reminiscing. read more
