It would have been nice if someone was walking around taking drink orders or if there was a designated ordering area when the bar is busy. The bartender was fine, but nothing particularly stood out service-wise. Also, if you're traveling with a dog, this is not a pet-friendly bar. As far as I could tell, they also do not serve food in the historic bar itself, so it's best to come just for drinks and the atmosphere.
