Strawberry Swedish Crepes filled with Sweet Cream Filling
    Vicki S.

Great old-fashioned restaurant for breakfast. My top favorite treat is the Plate of 3 Strawberry Swedish Crepes filled with Sweet Cream Filling and a pot of French Press Coffee. The Bacon Avocado & Spinach Omelet served with a side of German Potato Pancakes was smaller than I expected (the omelet), but with the potato pancakes it is the perfect size and wonderful mix of sweet-ish and savory. Finally, you can't go wrong with Buttery Hot Cakes with a side of sliced bananas... YUMM!!! Be forewarned that this restaurant gets super slammed on Sundays. If you can swing it, consider dining here on a Saturday or weekday. Otherwise, wear a nice smile and bring your patience and kind heart on a Sunday ;-) Friendly and efficient service and a nice country home vibe.

Specialty Coffee- Austrian coffee, unlimited refills of coffee

The ambience is exact as the name suggests, Old European. Scrumptious goodness in every bite- food, pleasant clear light ambience and neatly spaced out. Quick helpful service if you are a first timer like me. In case you are visiting Pullman, you shouldn't miss out on this one! We had the Austrian coffee (unlimited), cinnamon roll, Crepe and Mimosa. Also the European favourite toast eggs, sausage patty. The tiny cup with strawberry jam in one of the photos is their special home made all hearts to that one. Slight heavier on the pockets, but the quality speaks for itself. We did not have to wait, but I suggest reaching beforehand since I have witnessed weekend and game day queues. Ample parking space.

This is Livie D. talking: The food was okay, but the Orange Juice was the best! The bathroom clean, but small. Overall I recommend this restaurant!

The food here is fine. It's breakfast food you know? Their bread tastes quite fresh so there's that. I guess, given how much people hype this place up and the price of every menu item, I was expecting a bit more. The restaurant vibe is very cute and homey. I definitely see this being a good spot to take your parents when they come visit. Staff is polite and helpful. If you come in on the weekends be prepared to wait a good bit.

Delicious comfort food on a cold, rainy day in Pullman. It was my first time visiting and the waitress was kind enough to give me a free order of the abelskivers (which were addictive, especially dipped in maple syrup). The restaurant was clean and had a cozy, relaxed environment. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Pullman!

Abelskivers always awesome. Seems to be some inconsistency with the seasoning of the savory dishes.

Not overly impressed. Portions and quality are average at best. The coffee was horrible and the prices are a tad on the high side.

I will keep it pretty simple. 1. Both of our steaks were very charred- one we actually had to send back because it was to the point of inedible. The replacement was less charred- and well-done despite being ordered medium. Also- the steak was served with THREE green beans. Literally three. It was absolutely bizarre. 2. The starter was grilled halloumi cheese and jam on toast. Served pretty plain. Tasted pretty bland. 3. The server carved all the way around the twist off top to the bottle of wine with the foil cutter of the wine key. Then just kind of awkwardly tried to pull the broken lid off and left it jagged and just weird. I wondered the whole time if there were pieces of it in the wine. HOWEVER- The brownie dessert was incredible though.

I enjoyed the restaurant's rustic atmosphere and the friendly staff. The menu had a wide selection, and we ordered and loved: 'Mile high Ruben' and 'Birch classic club tomato with tomato basil soup.' Both sandwiches were tasty, and the portions were generous. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend dining here on your next visit to Pullman.

I came to Pullman because my dog was having surgery and needed to find a restaurant nearby that…read morecould safely accommodate celiac disease for lunch. I called ahead and was specifically told that the restaurant has a gluten-free menu and that all staff are trained in celiac-safe protocols. I ordered a burger with a GF bun and a side Caesar salad, which I understood from the GF menu to be included with my meal. Another member of my party, who also has celiac disease, ordered the soup and salad combo. Our server was made aware of both of our dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, both salads had croutons on them, making them unsafe for us to eat. The bigger issue was that our server never returned to the table after bringing our food. We were seated on the patio and were the only customers out there the entire time, so we expected she would check back fairly quickly. She never did, which meant we had no opportunity to point out the problem until we had finished the rest of our meals. When she finally returned to clear our plates, she said, "It looks like everything was good!", which was particularly strange given that there were two entire salads still sitting there untouched. I explained that the salads had croutons, and after what seemed like a surprised reaction, she offered to have new ones made. The other member of my party declined because we had already finished the rest of our food and needed to get back to our dog. When she brought my replacement salad to-go with the check, she told us that the manager had decided not to charge us for the salads. The salads were apparently only $1.50 each. I had understood my salad to be included with my meal, and the other salad was part of a soup-and-salad combo, so taking $1.50 off each felt like a very poor attempt at service recovery given the circumstances. I know accidents can happen, and I understand that mistakes are sometimes made. But when a restaurant specifically tells someone with celiac disease that they have trained staff and celiac-safe protocols, finding croutons on both salads is especially concerning. I sat there the whole time wondering if maybe they had GF croutons and debating if I should just eat it. Anyone with celiac knows how exhausting it is to constantly have to double-check food even after being assured that a restaurant can safely accommodate you. What really soured this experience was not simply the mistake, it was the lack of an opportunity to address it promptly because our server never came back to the table, followed by a response that felt dismissive rather than genuinely concerned about what had happened. I appreciate that they ultimately remade my salad and removed $3 from the bill, but given the circumstances, that did not feel like meaningful service recovery. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone who needs truly careful gluten-free accommodations, and I won't be returning.

Started with the baked brie appetizer, which was lovely. I ordered the pork chop, which was massive, cooked perfectly (medium as it's ok to have a little pink in porkchops now) and accompaniments were flavorful. Both ordered pastas and it looked so tempting and delicious. Service is friendly. We couldnt decide on dessert so ordered the ice cream cake and apple cake/pie dessert and split. The ice cream cake is one of the best I've had. Layer of mint chocolate chip and chocolate chip, surrounded by a chocolate cookie crumble and cookie sprinkles on top. SO, SO, SO Good. The apple dessert was equally delicious and gave off Xmas / Holiday vibes. They do have espresso, though it seemed like it's not used much as the person had to check if we could order decaf cappuccinos. Those were alright and in the future, I may go without coffee or a decaf black instead. No tipping, which is the first time I've been a restaurant with this policy.
