Super affordable for 100 people, staff was incredible, we had access to the projector screen (bring your own projector and extension cord), staff was able to turn the music down in our room so people could give speeches. I had always wanted to visit this restaurant for YEARS! It was awesome to finally go. The inside is BEAUTIFUL! If you are into historical art and decor, you would LOVE this place. The ambiance is so comfortable and inviting. You can even sit on a purple throne. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was just enamored by it. I appreciated the gluten-free options because otherwise it would not have been a great visit. The food was delicious. I had the choice option where I picked two of their main pasta dishes. Brown butter pasta is AMAZING! I mixed it in with my mushroom marinara pasta and wow...I almost ate the entire thing! I was not disappointed in flavors. The service was okay. When you're craving the OSF this is one of the better ones. The building inside and decor are super cool looking, especially the waiting area which gets super packed during rush times. The service was especially good with our attentive server. Food was consistent with the same OSF recipes, served nice and piping hot including the fresh bread loaf they give you at the beginning. The spaghetti is cooked very soft and I enjoyed their meat sauce. Stay away from the minestrone soup, which was sadly disappointing like salty water with not much in it. Had dinner here on a weekend evening and enjoyed it very much! You can make reservations in advance online on their website, which very much improves the experience. Free parking is plentiful and easy as there is a large lot in back of the restaurant. The meals come with soup or salad, bread as well as a dessert. I first ate at this restaurant over 10 years ago with a group of college friends from UCR. One of the organizations I was a part of wanted to celebrate the 21st birthday of a few January babies. That group dinner is also the first place I remember going to eat out with my now wife. After not having eaten here for several years due to moving away, I decided to try it out again. My wife suggested we eat some pasta before our Saturday race and what better place than The Old Spaghetti Factory? The place doesn't seem to have changed much. It is still in an old factory/warehouse looking building along the train tracks. The entrance has a pretty large waiting area with many different chairs/seating for parties that are waiting. My wife had the fore site to set up a reservation a couple hours before we wanted to eat which helped immensely. When we got there on a Friday night, I heard the hostess tell other people it would be at least 30 minutes wait before they got a table. We ended up seating on the right side of the restaurant near the train car. Their drinks are still relatively cheap compared to other places. I went with my old favorite dish - the Meat Lover's Treat. It came with 2 meatballs, Italian sausage, and spaghetti with a meaty sauce. Each dish you order comes bread/butter, and either soup or salad. At the end of each meal, you have a choice between vanilla or Spumoni ice cream. It's a great value as I left feeling so full and with leftovers that would fill me for another meal. I had forgotten about this place for some time but I will definitely be coming back. read more

Super busy nights when Mission Inn Christmas lights are on. We made reservations for a party of three including my 1 year old for 6PM. Not a really big party, we got there and checked in, waited for a ENTIRE HOUR! We noticed people who came in after us were getting sat before us?! We check with the two hosts about what the update is? And they asked us if we checked in, which yes we did. They said they didn't even have our name down! Are you kidding! We were sat after this and Jonathan was our server, he was AMAZING. Got us all our food and drinks down super fast and prompt. This place definitely needs new management and new hosts. How could you let us a family of three sit there in the lobby for an entire hour and not notice that anything was wrong? I used to come here alot when I was younger with my parents whenever we would stay at the nearby Mission Inn and the place is all nostalgia for me. I brought my husband for the first time and our youngest and unfortunately the initial service was lacking. We were seated right next to a wedding party and either the waitress thought we were with them or just didn't know about us I'm not sure but it took FOREVER to get service. My husband had to go find someone. After that the manager came out and took care of us and it was a pleasant experience after that. The food are LARGE portions so we had plenty of leftovers. It's not the best Italian food but it is still delicious and if you can get a table near the cable car it is a better experience. I've been to The Old Spaghetti Factory once or twice for a banquet, and the options are generally safe: spaghetti with meatballs and marinara sauce and a strawberry lemonade beverage. I visited by myself for the first time since I was craving fettucine alfredo. When I walked in around 9pm, there were 2 or 3 other parties but no one tending to them even after a few minutes. Eventually, a hostess came to seat us, and I became conflicted on what to order. Overcome with indecision and a sense of adventure in wanting to try a variety of new flavors, I settled on the Pot Pourri, which contained a sample of the mizithra cheese & browned butter, meat, clam, and marinara sauces. Before the Pot Pourri arrived, I had not one but two breads alone because it was a tasty appetizer. I'm appreciative that the server did not judge me because it was quite a bit of food before the entree, but she was a sweetheart throughout my dining experience here. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade, which she happily refilled. Fast forward to the Pot Pourri, I was excited to dig in to find out what my next favorite flavor may be. However of the four, I only enjoyed the spaghetti with clam sauce. For the other three pastas, I ate them so as to not waste food, and did not particularly like or dislike them. This place is packed with Christmas parties! Katie greeted us and got our drinks quickly. She is very friendly and we ordered before 5pm. At 5:30 we get out 5-entrees of some fine Italian chow. 30 minutes is a long wait for the beginning of the night, but the banquet room had a million people and I'm sure that made an impact on our order. I suspect they may have a separate kitchen for the banquet room. If they do, shame on them for taking a half hour preparing 5- entrees. This service time is my only complaint. I brought the fam (see my review) a month ago and it was perfect. Still a good place to get Italian. We favor D'caesaro Italian restaurant. I would recommend them for a great pie and pasta. We've been coming here for years, the food and service is always great! However today's visit really solidified why we love coming here. We brought our 4 month old for the first time. #1, the waitress was so sweet to her (I think her name was Sarah), #2 they had slings for car seats, and #3,the changing table was clean and stocked with liners!! It is my third time coming to OSF (twice in the past week). I didn't post my review for whatever reason after my first visit on Valentine's Day this year but here we are almost three months later and I am still pleased with my experience. For all visits, I sat at the bar as I was dining alone. Everyone was hustling. The phone was ringing nonstop with what I assume was reservation requests or take out orders. I have tried two entrees -- Breast of chicken fettuccine and chicken Marsala. All entrees start with a fresh, warm loaf of sourdough bread with whipped butter. Yum! As a person dining alone, I was happy to have such a large portion for myself. Both pasta dishes were great. For the breast of chicken fettuccine, you receive it with fettuccine noodles obviously, chunks of chicken breast, huge mushrooms and great Alfredo sauce. For the chicken Marsala, you receive one chicken breast with a side of spaghetti with mazithra cheese and a Marsala wine sauce. Since broccoli is my favorite vegetable, I had to order a small side of broccoli with browned butter and mazithra cheese. That dish was fantastic. If you have never had that kind of cheese, I would describe it like a cross between cotija and parmesan. It has a nutty flavor. It did not melt atop the broccoli but it complemented it well. I had leftovers for both dishes. They warmed up great the following day for lunch. For my drink, I ordered a Moscow mule. It had a decent amount of alcohol so I had a nice buzz going after one. My second drink was a blood orange mule. Enjoyed it just as much. The extra tang of blood orange complemented the ginger beer. They were out of mule mug so I had it in a regular glass which suited me fine as it was a bigger glass. LOL. I had the pleasure of being served by Hannah. She was super friendly and courteous. She was working the patrons at the bar, sitting in the bar area and incoming queue orders well. She was hustling with a smile on her face. She periodically checked in on me to make sure I had everything I needed.
