Food was very tasty. Ambiance was light but it was a Monday night so understandable. Friendly service and good food.

Came on a Friday with a big party. We reserved in advance. It was very empty for a Friday afternoon. The table got a salad, potato skins and nachos as starts to share. The salad was very good. The potato skins were incredible. The nachos were sadly very bad, as they had little topping and the chips were humid. Not crunchy or soggy, humid. I got the Irish boxty (under traditional) with beans and a biscuit and shared it with another member of my party. The Irish boxty is like a potato crepe with pieces of beef and a jam on top made with apples. The beans were way too sweet. The biscuit was good. The boxty itself was okay. The meat was tough, but the potato crepe was very good, which evens out to being just ok. The portions are huge, so be careful how much you order. The waitress was nice and energetic and she was able to recommend some local ciders and beers which ended up being very good. I strongly recommend the beer in the picture.

I had a late supper this evening at the Old Triangle Irish Alehouse. I've been to their location in Halifax a few times and have enjoyed my times there. I ordered Steak 'n Steak 'n Mashed Potatoes (minus the slaw). I ordered the steak medium-well. While they were tasty, one steak was medium-well and the other was well-done. I was ready to settle up my bill and pay about 9pm. By 9:30pm, I hadn't seen my server in a half hour so I went to the bar to take care of it. There were only a handful of people in the bar so I don't know what happened to her. Once I got to the bar to pay my bill, a couple in my section got up and followed me to do the same. Then our server appeared. She had been a bit abrupt but efficient all night and seemed really friendly all of a sudden. So it wasn't an overly warm and fuzzy experience.

First time to PEI and I went during the off season for business reasons. I had asked about decent local restaurants in the area and some folks in the office believed this is the best local dining around during off season. I had the fish and chips plate which was very good. The french fries are made to order and are seasoned with herbs (I'm guessing basil, oregeno and sea salt). The cole slaw is an oil based slaw which was so fresh I would have to say it was also made to order. It's a very light slaw compared to the mayo based slaws you normally find. They offer a good selection of beer on tap and have an area for bands to play. I understand they have open mic on Sundays and you can often hear traditional Irish music here. The waitstaff was very courteous and attentive and it was very clean. There is a section that has private seating for a more cozy feel. The seats in that section look like booths with full backs that connect to the ceiling.

This restaurant has a complete Irish feel. As a tourist, I found it very "PEI"-like. So the ONLY reason they get a 3/5 is for it's atmosphere. The glasses for the drinks were not cleaned well. I could see the lip stains on one of my glasses. As for the food: Mushroom caps stuffed with lobster: I have had much better mushroom caps at Moxies and the Keg that are chain restaurants. The lobster was kind of chewy. The large amount of butter made it tolerable. 2/5 Lobster Roll: The minute amount of lobster in the roll was not fresh and didn't taste like lobster. The roll was toasted (burnt I'm some areas) and buttery. 2/5 Lobster Fettuccini: The lobster was cooked well and the artichoke hearts were delicious. 3.5/5 Drinks: I asked for a mixed "fun" drink and specified that I wanted a FUN drink. I got a vodka orange juice soda .... That didn't taste like alcohol AT ALL. And it was not FUN. 1/5

I went on the opening night in Charlottetown, actually a great new place...great food, and lots of beers on tap.

Service has been poor each regretful visit. Environment is nice, however a little too dim and dank.

It came with 4 scallops on top of medium size and alfredo sauce pasta that was very basic but ok, with maybe a couple of very small bacon bits. I ate half of the plate. Another person in my party order the same and had a similar experience. I relayed my dissatisfaction on the meal to my our server, a young lady in her twenties, and I received a curt response that 4 scallops was the expected amount and that bacon was in there. She did nothing further and promptly brought us our bill for $155 before tax and tip. My friend was paying and he felt obligated to tip because 2 in our party were regulars and he didn't want them slighted in the future. No discount or accommodation was offered. I left feeling that I will likely never return and somewhat disappointed because the place has a certain charm and the others seemed happy with their fish and chips and club and fries. It is too bad, because I live nearby.

Paired my meal with a glass of red wine. The service was friendly, efficient, great customer care experience. Not sure about the ambiance however that was pushed to background noise when I endeavoured into the mouthwatering food experience. Highly recommend to locals or visitors to Amherst. A must visit.

We ordered oysters, the Tartar-Salmon, Fish Taco, and the Tuna Katsu. The oysters were the standout -- cold, briny, and incredibly fresh. The tartar was bright and well-balanced, the tacos had a playful kick of flavor, and the katsu added a crisp, memorable bite. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and rooted in local seafood. Service was excellent throughout -- friendly, attentive, and relaxed in the best way. Combined with the food and atmosphere, it made for an easy and enjoyable lunch experience. If you're in Charlottetown and want fresh seafood in a lively setting, Sea Rocket Oyster House is an excellent stop, especially on a sunny afternoon when Victoria Row is at its best.

If you're looking for a good vibe, this would be the place. Food-wise: There's a large variety of to choose from on the menu. We got a bunch of things to try and while it was all fine, nothing really stood out to me that made me think, "oh wow, that was delicious!" We did enjoy the fresh oysters though, but those are raw and don't really require cooking... lol. I usually love salmon tartare but something just tasted off about this one IMO. I will say that while our server was nice, the service was quite slow. It was Wednesday afternoon and not too busy. It took about twenty minutes for the oysters and then another 20 minutes for the rest of our food to arrive (so 40 long minutes of being hungry!) Trying to get the bill took forever too. We didn't see our server for a while so we asked another server that was helping another table. I'm not sure if she forgot, so I went inside to ask someone else for help. We waited and waited and our server came finally came (without the bill) so we had to ask for that and waited some more.
