Always a good casual breakfast with large portions! Large enough to share between 2 or 3 people. Service is usually great, friendly and helpful. I always love getting the hot cocoa here because their whipped cream is delicious and they really pile it on! Their bacon is also great! I will say I recently ordered 2 over medium eggs and they left the whites raw so I asked them to remake it and they did the exact same thing so they could definitely improve on that. Not sure if it was just whoever was in the kitchen that day but I think it's reasonable to expect the kitchen to know how to cook eggs properly since it's a breakfast joint but again might've been an off day. Came here on a Sunday for breakfast. Line was too long. About 20-25 min wait. Whip cream is fake, it melted. Omelette was not fluffy at all, unlike other OPH locations. Berries were fresh tho. Such a friendly server today! We were on the wait list, walked right in and got seated, which is great with a Mamá with a walker! We got the mandatory apple baked pancake for the table! It does take 30 to 40 minutes to cook, but we never leave without it. Met some friends here to catch up. The wait can be up to an hour at brunch time on Sunday. There is a parking lot for the restaurant right behind. Although the servers and hostesses are super busy, the service doesn't get impacted by it. Very friendly team members. The food was good, too. Wow what an experience. First of all if you go on a weekend you should use Yelp wait list. It saved us a lot of time because they were super busy. It is a normal atmosphere as with many greasy spoons, but it was clean and up update. The wait staff was outstanding Yessi kept.a.good eye on us even though she had many other tables. My coffee cup never went dry. And then there was the food. I had the bacon pancakes with eggs and bacon. My wife had the corn pa cakes with eggs and hash browns. We had not a single complaint. I finally got to try The Original Pancake House! Every attempt I've made in the past, the wait was too long, and my tummy wasn't willing to be patient. My daughter ordered original buttermilk pancakes, they were good! I had their apple waffle and side of biscuits and gravy. The waffle was good, I enjoyed the diced apples on top and the apple syrup. I am a regular customer here, I absolutely love it here but I had a horrible experience on june 20th. Me and my family came to enjoy a wonderful breakfast, food was amazing as always. We paid and began to leave . As we were walking out to our cars we were chased by 3 or more employees claiming we did not pay our bill. We presented the receipt showing we indeed pay. Come to find out the waitress gave us the wrong bill. The embarrassment felt was something we will never forget. The employees were looking at us like we were in the wrong. The waitress questioned us as if it was our mistake, and the looks that we got from staff and other customers was unexplainable. We received minimal apologies from staff over a mistake that was not ours, just stabbing looks. Once i was refunded and charged again( about a $50 difference) with the right check the employee who took my payment had the nerve to ask if we had left a tip after everything that had happened. Just to clear it up there had been a very nice cash tip left prior to this whole encounter. This whole experience was traumatizing. I understand people make mistakes but the way we were treated even after it was clarified and the mistake was on the employee we were still made out out to be the ones in the wrong. If this issue was presented in the right manner there would not have been a issue but it was handled all wrong. read more
