We got there without the usual long wait, which was a nice surprise! I ordered the Cali Toast with country potatoes and a Rose Latte, and everything was so good. The Cali Toast is one of my go to orders, and the Rose Latte is definitely worth trying if you're in the mood for something a little different. We sat outside, and the patio has such a relaxing vibe, perfect for lingering over coffee and good conversation. There is an ample lot in a shared strip mall. Plenty of parking for breakfast at open on a Sunday. They got fairly busy right at/after open. There is more outdoor seating on the covered patio than indoor seating. Both seating areas are nice. The lady who seated us was very friendly and pretty attentive and especially considering she wad handling a lot of other tables. Both the house eggs Benedict and house French toast were good. Was expecting crispy bacon on the benny considering the description, but the only difference from classic seemed to be the avocado. The benny egg and muffin were both collected well, especially the eggs they did a great job on those. Wife didn't like the flavor of the hollandaise sauce, but thought it was fine. She liked the French toast much better. You did not need syrup as the butter cream and chocolate sauce were plenty sweet on their own. Half serving is probably ok for one person, full was nice to share. The bathroom was clean, large, and single person--great for a pit stop before you head out! The mason jar waters were cool. I would not recommend to add cheese and jalapeños for $3 more to the potatoes. Overall from everything I ordered I was not impressed, everything was average and I wouldn't go out of my way for it. My bill for this came out to $60 before tip which I believe is expensive for what I got and other brunch places in the area. The staff were friendly and the food came out quick. We found this place randomly. It is located in a dying stripping mall. You might miss it if you can't see a little "squarish" place's name. It has a white patio/outdoor at the end. There were NO customers as we entered the restaurant, perhaps we came in rather late, an hour before closing. Nonetheless, considering there's no one inside the place, the service was aloof, distant and not attentive. As staff were going home, the two waitresses did not check on us for refill of coffee and water. When we paid the bill and generously tipped, we said, "bye!", the waitress was seating with her phone glued to her face. The food was decent. I ordered the "House full French Toast", and it is loaded with sliced strawberries and bananas, and drowned in chocolate drizzles. The brioche toasts were a tad dried and spongy but well coated with eggs. Delicious still. My other half ordered a Spanish omelette; it was good. We both got a little queasy in the tummy afterward. Food (3.5/5): We ordered eggs benedict with potatoes and Denver omelette with their hash potato chips. No complaints about the eggs benedict, but there wasn't anything special about it. I do wish it came with more hollandaise sauce, as it seemed like they put just enough, but I would have wanted more to sop up with the english muffin and potatoes. My husband's omelette was tasty and balanced in fillings. The hash potato crisps were a hit with the kids. They are basically the bits of fries you get at the bottom of your fries order that's super thin and all crispy and crunchy. Overall, the food was good but I'm not sold 100% on the value, as it felt a bit overpriced for the actual amount of food as compared to some similar breakfast establishments in the surrounding areas. Coffee (3/5): Lavender latte was not overly sweet, coffee was strong and came with cute latte art. Although the lavender bits were a pretty touch, they were way to strong that I removed them from my cup as I drank. Americano wasn't on the menu, but they made a nice cup for my husband. I appreciated the mini cups of water for the kids. Ambiance (4/5): Clean and simple with lots of natural lighting and outdoor seating, which was great considering how busy it got and the amount of space inside the restaurant. I liked the random vintage photographs of what looked to be American soldiers and athletes on the walls; it was a cute touch although I wonder why they had those up. Service (3/5): We came just before they got super busy. The lady at the front immediately greeted us and seated us. They only checked on us once during the meal and definitely rushed us to order and later get us out the door (sorry, our toddlers eat super slow). Other than that pressure, service was okay. Would we be back? Maybe. It's not a bad place to eat occasionally and I'm sure it's popular for a reason, although it was just so-so overall for us. read more

Went for lunch with my young daughter and her friends for a "Friendsgiving" get together. The restaurant was so beautifully decorated. Perfect setting for the girls! The drinks were to die for. This little gem has become our family favorite for breakfast and/or brunch! The lot where this adorable restaurant sits is a bit of a ghost town, so there is ample parking. The staff greets you at the door, and presents an option of indoor or outdoor seating. We started frequenting this lovely cafe early last year after a friend who loves in the area recommended it, and we have returned almost once a week since then. The staff is so friendly and pleasant, and we have yet to have a bad experience. We actually live about 20 minutes away and we make the drive just to eat here. The dining room includes maybe ~11 tables and there are more and larger tables outside under canopies. The food is delicious! Also, I cannot stress enough that this establishment is NOT the same as Toast at the Stonewood Mall (that is "Toast Kitchen and Bar," and is absolutely disappointing and the service is terrible). Portions are big enough to fill you but not so big that you are taking home boxes of food. Eggs cooked how you order every time. Bacon cooked perfectly. French toast, divine. If you're used to authentic Mexican huevos rancheros, I wouldn't recommend ordering them here--the sauce tasted like it was ketchup-based, similar to Hunt's sauce. The meal tasted fresh and I'd definitely go have some avo-toast at Toast on First again. The establishment is fairly roomy. They have a tented outdoor area, but it was just too cold that December morning to be seated outside. Inside, is a little snug but not uncomfortably snug. There is indoor and outdoor seating available and the outdoor area is doggy friendly. Also baby friendly - high chairs available and kiddy menu.
