We went for the all you can eat fish fry. The fish was good albeit heavy on the salt. The service was painfully slow. We were there for what felt like forever. I don't know if the pace is meant for people to give up after the first serving of fish. My friends and I ate at this restaurant for the $5 Wednesday wing night at the OP. We waited over an hour for food and 30 minutes to pay for our check. Our waiter Kat was extremely rude, barely spoke a word to us. When our orders came we got the wrong food and she made us feel horrible for asking for the correct orders. She also then charged us extra for sauce they brought us but we didn't order. We are extremely disappointed with this experience. Also we ordered hot honey but were told that's not an option but it's on the menu. If you are going to eat here plan on a 3 hour time limit. read more

We came in and waited over an hour and 25 min for pancakes and eggs. The server was kind but in no way did it make up for the excruciating wait. If they had at least offered to bring the kids pancakes out I would of been grateful. But instead the wait wasn't even acknowledged..... The andouille sausage Omelet was yummy and so were the pancakes. But sadly the food doesn't make up for the slow service or wait time. This is a big strike for anyone with kids or someone not wanting to be at a restaurant for over 2 hours...... read more

This is a great place to watch a game and hangout with friends. The bartenders and waitresses are always prompt and friendly. They have a large menu so lots to choose from. The Cuban is my favorite sandwich here. They have bingo on Tuesday evenings and sometimes have purse bingo on the weekend. Go check it out, it's a fun place. The food certainly would have been tasty if it were hot. They can't control the clientele - but this was not my type of place. Uff. The only reason the other place even gets a 2 from me is for their service. The service is great. I've gotten to know the staff well enough and try as they might to make my food order better it just doesn't get any better than mediocre at best. There are many instances i could list in which my food has been less than I expect. Tonight my burger came out cold and i could tell that the fries had been sitting in the window for a while. They asked if i wanted anything else but with how disappointed I've been and am tonight i declined. Needless to say that unless I'm coming in for breakfast I will not be eating the food here anymore. Went to visit Duluth and the famous aerial lift bridge and was looking for a place for brunch. Found a couple of spots on Google but then found a comment simply saying "do not overlook this place" and decided to give it a try. The place looks good and was crowded when we arrived but not the noisy or annoying kind crowd. Families, elders and youngies, a good happy mix. Taking out our phones to snap pictures would have felt like a violation of privacy or something, so we did not. The menu offers a lot of choices that all sounded delicious but we decided to be conservative, one house speciality and one generic . I went for the "OP Omelet" and my lady for "The rice lake". Absolutely fabulous. The omelette was well done and the stuffings were cooked to the point. Never had such big pancakes and the homemade syrup was delicious. My lady's choice was good too, the sausages were done to the point and greasy just like she wanted. We ended sharing everything and decided that this would be the spot for our future brunches in Duluth. read more

Passing by The Other Place and saw they had a Thursday special for half price burgers. Having never been there before, we thought this would be a good time to stop. We ordered their specialty, the Other Place Burger and Zupa. The Zupa is a cream based soup with Italian sausage snd potatoes, it was great! The Other Place Burger is 1/3 pound burger with lettuce, cheese, onions, bacon , and a fried egg, with The Other Place's special sauce. A bit messy to eat, but well worth it. one delicious burger! read more

I am a big fan of the OP pizza... or was. The OP used to have the best pizza around in my opinion, but they recently changed their crust and they are nowhere near as good anymore because it changes the flavor entirely and the bottom is covered in cornmeal or something like it. I've given it a few tries now but I think I just had my last one. Disappointed. Please bring back the original crust! read more
