Tried to enjoy twice . Not busy, easy to get a seat and friendly service. Not many workers, so not much attention at all. Sat with nothing often and due to covid had to get own condiments because of lack of checking in for anything we needed. So I am at OP right now. Waited 10 minutes for a waitress. She's sweet but seems a bit unaware. We had one guy arrive late. They put his order in separately, and his food arrived first. We have yet to see our food and we ordered 20 minutes ago. There are 5 of us still waiting for food. Food arrived at 25 minute mark. Two of us ordered hot turkey and mashed potatoes. One ordered a personal pizza, one a chicken burrito, a taco salad and tenderloin. Food is tertific. Service appears to be a lack of training. Overall not bad.....won't race back here. My husband and I came here twice when they first opened. They had slow service and just ok food the first time, the second time the pizza was way under cooked. We stayed away for a long time. We gave it another shot and had excellent service and good food on a busy Saturday night. Tonight tho- we came early and even with games on the place was half empty. After 15 min of staff walking by us I went up to the hostess stand to ask for water, it still took 5 more minutes to get someone to get to the table. We ordered food at the same time, it took 45 minutes to come out. Our cups sat empty at least 30 of those minutes. The only time the waitress checked on us was to ask if we wanted our check. Food was amazing and service was great! The best part was we were from out of town and this place came highly recommended. I however ordered from the one in Clive, Iowa instead of Clear Lake, Iowa. So we had amazing wings and pizza from the location in Clear Lake but the Clive, Iowa location was very nice when I called and told them my mistake. They very willingly refunded our entire order for four people when it was clearly my mishap and the food was already made. We will definitely be back! read more

Waited almost an hour for food. Then it was it cold. Never coming back. Really really bad. Manager was just as bad, apologized but never fixed the problem. Terrible place!!!!! We ordered takeout for dinner. The person taking our order clearly had no idea what she was doing. However, the food surprised us. My wife had the California Quesadilla, which was a good vegetarian selection. It was on the appetizer section of the menu. She loved the flavor. I had the breaded tenderloin with fries. The breading on the tenderloin was unlike any I had had before and was very good. The fries were some of the best I have had. They call them seasoned fries and, whatever the seasonings were, I loved them. In spite of the poor service, we will absolutely eat there again and heartily recommend it to others. read more

Pizza is good. They charge a "convenience fee" for placing your order online which is absurd. Since this fee was not obvious to me when I place my order I did call and question it. I was told by the online ordering service that the fee was passed on to the customer at the request of the restaurant. This is simply unacceptable to me. read more

We just got home from one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. We had a group of 4 people at our table tonight. Usually not that hard to mess up a 4 top. Our glasses were empty for probably 45 minutes before we had to flag down our waiter for a refill. Our food took over an hour to come (pizza, fries and wings). Waiter forgot every single one of our sides that we ordered. When we told him what we were missing, we still never received them. We couldn't flag him down for another 45 minutes to pay to leave from this awful place. He gave us our checks (which were incorrect lol) then didn't come back for another 20 minutes to take our cards. Literally such a waste of time and super disappointing. All about their pizza. Although they have a full menu of entrees, (subs, pasta, wraps, burgers,) ordering anything but pizza here is impossible. I first fell in love with it in Cedar Falls and the taste has been directly transferred to this location. Well, this is a review of the restaurant and it isn't. My daughter and I stopped in for lunch and the first thing we noticed was how many tables and chairs are crammed into the space. Does the fire marshal ever come by here? Second, the music was loud and annoying. Third, the table was covered in salt and probably other debris from previous diners. Wiping tables must be optional. We left without ordering. When we told the host why we were leaving, he shrugged his shoulders and mumbled OK or something. So, that is why this is and isn't a review of the restaurant. We didn't eat here, but the atmosphere, the cleanliness, and the demeanor of the staff leave something to be desired. read more

My husband and I have been here several times and always had a great experience, until last night. Our waiter, young blond guy, was completely clueless and would disappear for long periods of time. I asked if they could make a mango mule and he didn't know. He came back to the table and asked if mango passionfruit was ok and I said sure. He then came back a third time and said they didn't have that. The place was not busy and we spent most of our time waiting for drinks. Troy, you need to check on this store (Clive). I love OP pizza, but this store is not doing well. My visit tonite I went with my son. He ordered the Maui pizza without mushrooms as he cannot stomach them. I got the 4 star. The pizza came with mushrooms. It was slow on a Sunday nite, so you would think they could get it right, but mistakes happen. I flagged down the waitress and told her what was up. She apologized and said she would take care of it. Felt bad as my pizza also had mushrooms so I could not share with my son. I tried to eat slow so I wasn't done before they cooked him a new pizza. Two minutes later the waitress brings a pizza to the table. This pizza had the sauce coming out of holes in the cheese where some one stuck their fingers in it to pull out some mushrooms and there were still some mushrooms on it. I told the waitress that this isn't right. She said she would have them make another pizza for him to take with him. ???? First who thought this was a good idea to stick your fingers in someone's food to pull out half the mushrooms? What if that person was very allergic to that topping? Second why would a waitress even bring that back to the table? She should have insisted a new pizza be made and expedited. I asked for the manager who came out and asked what the problem was. Didn't your waitress explain the problem to you? So I told her what happened. She apologized and said she would have them make a new one. My son who was very hungry decided to try to eat a price while he was waiting by picking off all the mushrooms he could find. 15 minutes later still no pizza. The waitress said she would check on it. Of course by the time the new pizza came I had already finished mine; 9". We had to get going so we asked them to box it. The pizza looked a mess sauce all spilling out one side and looked terrible. But we dismissed it as we needed to leave. Then I got the bill. They wrote off his pizza but, Decided to add a couple of extra drinks to the bill. I had to have them fix the bill.terrible experience. My son got his pizza home and tried to eat it but is was a soggy gross mess and under cooked. Ended up throwing it away. I worked for the Op for several years and I know this is not acceptable for Op standards. Even the second pizza should not have been brought to the table as it was a disaster!! May have to stop going to OP as the service has deteriorated greatly and the waitstaff and managers don't seem to care. We went to the other place tonight and when we first got there it really wasn't busy at all. All the booths were dirty so we had to wait for them to clean it, no big deal, I'm glad they took the time to clean it before seating us. Our waitress was Cathy and she literally didn't explain any of the specials going on that night, I had to ask. One of the things we ordered was a 9" one topping pizza. We were there during happy hour so it was suppose to be $6, however she charged us $9. The mushroom and Swiss burger was another thing we ordered that was also on the happy hour menu and that price was correct. I'm a little frustrated over the service that was given and how I had to ask about the specials instead of being told like most of the other places we go. She seemed busy and rushed and there really wasn't a lot of people there. I will say the food was delicious which why I'm so disappointed in the service received.. I was pouting because I wanted to order Buffalo Wild Wings for the Super Bowl, and they weren't accepting orders. Not sure why I ordered from The Other Place, but wow!!!! They were running a Super Bowl special, 12 wings for 8.00, so I ordered them. I decided to try the pizza, and ordered the special! Delivery was super fast, and everything was HOT! They packaged everything very well, and included several packets of parm cheeses and hot pepper flakes, without me asking! So....... about the food. The wings were BETTER than BWW; very meaty, the ranch dressing tasted homemade, and the celery was crisp and fresh! I couldn't believe how great they were! No more BWW for me, I will be ordering from TOP! First time for this pizza, and it was outstanding! I ordered the Special, and actually was surprised by the heavy amount of ingredients! This is a hearty pie! I wish it was a thin crust, but will order again and again. This is real food people and super affordable! WELL DONE!!!!!!! read more

Nice layout. I liked it much better than the previous Boston Pizza. I had 9 inch special pizza and my husband had chef salad. My pizza tasted good; however, I did not like the crust. It was too thick and hard. I prefer soft and thin crust. Also, it supposed to have nine toppings but I saw mostly green peppers and few other ingredients. I removed the crust and just ate the toppings. My husband liked his chef salad. Service was excellent. read more

The servers disappear (it wasn't remotely busy, either time, so they weren't waiting on other tables) and don't come back for like 10 or 15 minutes. We ordered drinks last night and they took 20 minutes to arrive (repeat 3 times because the same thing happened every round). Bartender was standing there doing nothing. Server was gone...not waiting on customers. Continue same theme with food. No one was trying. Not the server...not the bartender...no one. I still love the Buffalo Chicken pizza and always will, but will probably never come to this location again. I'm not asking for perfect service at a pizza/sports bar by any stretch, but I am asking to get a beer in under 20 minutes when no one is doing anything. AND WHERE ARE THE SERVERS GOING?? read more

We waited a while to try this place because all new restaurants need time to work out the kinks. Our strategy didn't work this time. We had lunch there today and the pizza dough had absolutely no flavor and was under cooked. The service was slow even though the place was only about half full. Our order wasn't correct either. Hold the tomatoes isn't a difficult request, is it?!? This place was a huge disappointment after all the hype by their original Eastern Iowa groupies. However, I always challenge myself to find one good thing when writing a bad review so I will say this...the OP is clean and has tons of nice TV's. So if you are going out to have enough drinks during the game to not notice the poor quality of food and service then you might enjoy this place. And remember to take a cab home, please! read more

I tried the Cajun chicken lunch size salad today. It was pretty good, but on the smaller size (I know I got the lunch size, but this was almost side salad size). They also don't do light ranch if you're into that. The group next to us ordered pizza that looked pretty amazing, but I can't speak for the taste. I'll have to try it out soon!
