We had the most delicious baked mostaccioli dinner here last night. The pizza is usually our go-to here, but we went with the special and it didn't disappoint. The meal came with a large salad (nice variety of lettuce) and a breadstick and was very reasonably priced. read more

We'd been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally had the opportunity. Tried their chicken lasagna, and it was excellent - very cheesy, great flavor, and served with a tasty breadstick and side salad. The serving is big enough for two, so we will have a second meal from the leftovers. Service was fast and friendly, prices are very reasonable. Next time we'll get the pizza, a couple at the next table had one and it looked delicious. read more

We had their pizza last night for a Christmas party. It was phenomenal. The buffalo chicken was great. Only complaint I would say is that I wished there was more chicken on it. But I'm a big meat eater so I'm a bit bias. read more

First, let me clarify that this restaurant is located in HAMEL, not Worden. It is the site of the former Inn Keeper. The food is good, fresh, and hot. Simple Italian. I had the lunch size spaghetti and meatballs and the wife had the smaller lasagna. We were very pleased with the quality, amount, and price. My meal (ordered at supper) came with a huge side salad and bread. More than I could eat - I wonder how big the dinner portion would be! Nice atmosphere (very down to earth), not crowded, nice service from enthusiastic and helpful young server. We'll be back. read more

Went with my husband and 3yo daughter. Quiet place. Our waitress was not very good. My husband had to get up to find her to get a refill on our waters. Then when she brought us our drinks back and had mixed soda or something else with his water. The hot bacon dressing was odd to us because I don't think a warm salad is very good. But the waitress recommended it. I had the cherry dressing and it was very good. My husband ordered the large spaghetti I ordered the special which was a trio of spaghetti, fettuccine, and garlic butter bow tie noodles. You could tell the spaghetti sauce was frozen by how watery the dish was. This was disappointing coming from an "Italian" restaurant. You can get just as good if not better spaghetti sauces at any restaurant. My fettuccine was really good. The bow tie noodles were just ok. Really no different than making butter noodles at home. Overall the portions were good size. Food just average restaurant food. Definitely not the Italian food we were wanting. Service was not good. read more

If you're going for Italian fare, the lasagna is excellent. We had that, fettuccine Alfredo, and spaghetti with meatballs. The fettuccine and spaghetti were not good. While service was friendly, it was subpar. Not sure we got the correct salad one of us ordered and one dish was missing the chicken ordered with it. Only reason to go back would be the very tasty lasagna. read more

I used to send everyone there, and a 4 star rating is what they deserved... but after the last two trips I think not. Something has changed in the past couple of months, and not for the better. The wings I used to go specifically for have been changed. Much smaller, and fixed differently.. no sauce on them the last time I was there, it was 'cooked in' I was told, and just pouring sauce on after the fact was not cutting it. The pizza, which I normally love was just 'meh' that trip. Thinking it was just a single bad evening, we went back tonight.. party of 5 adults, 2 kids. They were not busy when we arrived, two other tables, a couple and a family and another couple sitting up in the front area. A table of 8 came in after we did.. My wife ordered a house salad.. that was all she ordered.. it was almost an hour before she got it.. almost 15 minutes after my own cobb salad and wings arrived... how does it take 50 minutes to prepare a salad? My wings were the same as last time, but smothered in hot sauce.. not the good flavored buffalo sauce they used to use, just 'hot'. Two of us had ordered cobb salads.. neither one had bleu cheese or tomato tonight... but it took so long for them to get to the table we were not sending them back. The food came out slowly.. spread out over a 40-45 minute timeframe before the last person got her small cheese pizza out... Oh, and that table of 8 that came in 10 minutes after we did? They had all their food a good 20 minutes before our last person got hers. Once I can forgive, but two bad experiences in a row, and the second far worse than the first.. we just had our last meal there and won't be sending anyone else that way again either. read more

Not nearly as good as Weezy's which may have raised the expectation bar a little too high, perhaps, but it just wasn't that great. The pizza looked good but I loathe provel and it wasn't possible to get a pizza without it--and it's apparently on all the cheese-topped dishes so I had to pass on all of the Italian dishes that I wanted to try. I did taste Beloved Husband's spaghetti which was underwhelmingly bland and flat-tasting as the only spice I could taste was garlic and LOTS of it but the sauce was pretty flat tasting and pasta is pasta. The meatballs were fairly good but again, there are other seasonings besides garlic, some of which WERE in the meatballs but they were overpowered by the garlic. MamaG had the fettucine Alfredo which was mediocre at best. It was more like a parmesan FLAVORED white sauce with all the grainy texture that implies, rather than the rich, buttery cream texture one expects from this dish. The best thing was the spicy Asian-style chili sauce I got with my wings since they were about the ONLY thing I could order due to the provel cheese issue. I had been hoping for some Chicago tavern-style thin crust pizza but apparently it's not quite far enough from the "Imo's factor" pizza influence of St. Louis; so I was very disappointed. You would think that you could get a pizza without provel, but they buy a premixed "cheese blend" that contains it, so you cannot. I'm tempted to bring a bag of mozzarella and ask them to use it to make me a pizza, but what's the point if you have to bring your own ingredients to a restaurant? I was expecting much better, but the meal we had at Weezy's really gave us high expectations that their sister restaurant absolutely failed to meet. Service from Kinsey (who was as sweet as she could be and efficient) was good, which brought up the review to a 3, but if it was based on food alone it would not have been higher than a 2 star review. We'll stick to DiMaggios in Highland or Peel in Edwardsville for pizza and Italian. Wings were good and made it an acceptable dining experience but not great, and they didn't have any of the superb pies either which was also very disappointing. If we had not had such high expectations it probably wouldn't have been such a letdown, but their sister establishment sets a very high standard and is a tough act to follow. read more

Not busy the night we went, but the service was horrible. The food was good, but it took forever. All we ordered were two specials and a pizza. The salad never came out until the meal and the meals all came out at different times. 2 of us were almost done eating when the pizza finally came. Very slow. read more

This place is GREAT! I've been here a few times and the food is exceptional and large portions! I've had the pizza, salads and sandwiches and can't complain. My friend ordered the fish sandwich and it was one of the biggest fish filets I've ever seen!!! The waitresses are friendly and the owner, Karen, a wonderful genuine person!
