I was in the area and went to and called hotels because I needed a place to shower and get ready for an event last minute and other hotels were a stickler for their check-in time. Hampton Inn was able to check me in before 3pm and it was such a relief. Free parking.

Apologies i didn't take many pictures! My husband and i got this place for our anniversary We we're supposed to have the couple's whirlpool room but we got a double king bed lol we tried to cancel but the lady at the front said we have to go through expedia and refund is not guaranteed which i get same day cancellation pry won't get fully refunded. I didn't want to deal with it after all it was anniversary not a big deal I have what i wanted which is a happy marriage and that's what we were gonna celebrate regardless of the room mix up. Anyway the lady who checked us in was RUDE! Please check yourself or your peers when you witness rudeness if you don't step in your just as guilty, let's all be kind!

Stayed here because there was a convention in nearby Anaheim so hotels in the area were upwards of $600 / night. Seal Beach was the closest area to Disneyland (within 15 miles) that was affordable, so I spent one night here, mid-week. This is an old school, standard-issue Hampton Inn. It has the very old, dated interior decor style, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the property will be renovated and updated. It's not run-down by any means, but the plain green carpet and dark furnishings give it a ho-hum feel. My ground floor room was clean and smelled fresh. The linens were in good condition and the bed was comfortable. I really love that the hotel still has the old INNCOM thermostats, which are easy to hack so you can keep your room super cool by doing a bypass setting on the motion detector (which normally means your a/c shuts off in the middle of the night while you're asleep -- just search online for instructions). Minus a star because the parking situation is really awful. The hotel shares a lot with several businesses, which means parking comes at a premium. It's free for hotel guests, but it may be difficult to find a spot if you arrive late at night like we did. There are several HHonors Diamond Member parking spots, but of course those were completely full. I'm a Diamond member and find it hard to believe there would be that many of my fellow elite members staying at that hotel, and I place the blame squarely on the hotel for not policing those spots. This always annoys me, but whatever. There isn't much around here, but this is a fine hotel for a one night stay.

Waiting In the lobby area for checkin to begin @3:00pm. Best part of this hotel is the lobby

You will arrive at a decent looking hotel, meet the front desk staff who is unwelcoming and later found to be absolutely rude, all with hope to get a good nights sleep....Goodluck! The beds at this hotel are old and terribly uncomfortable and the pillows are just as bad! Everything in the room is old without updates. The front desk staff is desperately in need of customer service training, this being a consensus with several families on our team. This hotel was chosen for our team travel regrettably!

The general manager SHAUN was our host for the time we stayed and very accommodating. Our room was very clean, nicely decorated. I felt really comfortable here. I would definitely be comeback in the near future hands down . The Inn literally a 3 minute walk and you touch sand and then you see the ocean and horizon. From our room you can smell a hint of the ocean when you open the sliding door to your balcony room. The Ocean surf Inn is the neighborhood of sunset beach and is a low key area so it's quiet . There are a few restaurants and bars that are walking distance and also near a gas station with decent prices on gas. There is parking , but the spaces can get a little tight, if you have a bigger vehicle, might want to consider parking in the street but check with management first . Our room had a mini freezer/fridge and microwave! Which we love because we always have leftovers and drinks we need to store. The flatscreen was a decent size and had the basic TV channels and some movie channels (HBO) etc. water pressure in the shower was strong and the A/C worked perfectly fine. Our king sized bed was just how I liked it, a tiny bit firm where I don't sink in and so soft . Thy do have a roof top patio I didn't get to enjoy but I'll keep a note for nextime I come. I will definitely recommend this establishment to family and friends coming from out of town .

I really like the personal service from Sean who was very personable and helpful. I called to see if I could check in early, and he was very accommodating. It is. How do you feel feeling? A little bit, but I did. The room was very clean and the bed was a little too soft for me, but my sister said her's was fine. They had a few items for a continental breakfast, but there are many restaurants within a mile. We got a room on the opposite side of PCH and did not hear any noise from the highway. I would definitely stay there again.

The front desk people were friendly and the location has some eateries shops and a Trader Joe's almost right next door, as well as a Costco behind that. Despite the location being on a fairly busy street, the soundproofing seemed really good here as I did not hear any traffic noise while sleeping (I did close the heavy blackout curtain) and it seemed nice and quiet. We got the large one King 'bedroom' suite, which has the bedroom completely separate with a door, from the outside area with the bathroom, full size kitchen and queen sized sofabed. This is great if you want two separate rooms. The kitchen was really large as well, with marble type countertops and even a large kitchen island. There seems to be plenty of parking here and we could even park our car so that we could see it from the room. The breakfast was standard Homewood Suites, ie., better than a lot of included breakfasts at other hotels. Compared to another Homewood that I stayed at recently near Disneyland, it's like night and day! This one is so much better. I would definitely stay here again when in the area and would recommend this location to anyone!

Bathroom a little small but easy to work with. They had a fridge and coffee maker. Plus it's a cute area to sit in the morning or while waiting for your Uber. They have plenty of water in the lobby. Bottled and ice water from a large glass dispenser. There are bikes available for use. It's a pretty great location - we were able to walk to really incredible restaurants, and it was super close to our cruise port!!! A pleasant surprise!…read more A friend and I booked this hotel for the nearby Day Trip Festival for a single night. It is just a quick 10-15 minute drive to the Queen Mary Waterfront where the festival was held. The outside of this hotel looks a bit sketchy to be quite frank. It is a motel-style hotel, with outside-facing doors and only two floors. Don't let this scare you though. The interior was actually very nice and left me impressed. When we went to check in, we noticed a good amount of parking spots available at the front. There was also a cute little seating area surrounded by bamboo. The lobby was super clean and bright. There is a lot of seating available and a nice view of the pool. The pool is quite large and has some lounge area around it too. The workers at the front desk were super friendly. Check-in was a breeze and very quick. We retrieved our parking slip and left it in the car for overnight parking. We walked up the stairs and were very surprised when we got to our room. The room was huge. There was a ton of walking space around the bed which was fantastic. I was also not expecting there to be a balcony so that was a fun touch. There wasn't any furniture on the balcony but it was nice to stand on and get some fresh air. The decor and bedding was super cute. I'm glad there was a little mini fridge available too. The bathroom was also very spacious with a large shower. I liked the little stool in there and the attention to detail they paid with folding the towels and tissues. The AC blasted super cold which was great for the SoCal heat. Some of the amenities were dated like the AC unit itself and the TV, but is super understandable considering the type of hotel it is. The next morning, we called and were granted a courtesy late check-out! However, at 11:00am sharp, housekeeping knocked on the door to clean. We had to let them know that we had a late check-out. It was not a big deal but just a little annoying because we were expecting to sleep in a little longer. Overall, this was a very satisfying stay. The first impression was a little rough but it ended up being a great stay that exceeded my expectations.
