We had a pretty good experience...the food was good, ordered a 1/4lbs cheeseburger-its small like a kid size burger which was ok for me but I'm petite so a bigger person might need 2. We also had fish and chips-those 2 pcs were huge, kung pao wings - flavorful, crispy, and cooked perfectly! The fries and caesar salad were also wonderful! Fresh lettuce/nicely flavored dressing. Great atmosphere- tables were spaced enough so it's comfortable and they have couch seating as well, place looked clean, and open. The only thing we noticed that was less-than great was the server- she was not familiar with the food/drinks on the menu so she couldn't really answer simple questions..also my kid's burger was wrapped with paper so it fell out after one bite, she didn't offer to replace it or take it off the bill, not her fault but it would've been nice- she just ignored it, no comment at all lol the drinks were pretty decent as well read more

Ryan runs a good money making gig here, ambiance is nice but loud ( sound absorbing ceiling panels maybe). I think the only reason it stays in business is location ... its the only pub for miles around lake Goodwin.... Theres nowhere else to go so people pay "stadium prices" .... I've only been to this place one time with me and my family but when we went we had the most amazing time and I can only contribute that to the sweetest blonde Bartender!!! My party and I we're in there on Saturday night and the place was Pat but you never would've known it thanks to her she had a smile on her face and took the time when we didn't know what to order cause we're kind of young and don't really know much about the different drinks she explained them to us, offered us ideas on what to get, we had an amazing time so thank you pretty, blonde, bartender for making our night the best it could possibly be! read more

Attempted to have lunch today. Ordered a Prime Rib dip sandwich had to wait an hour and finally had a sandwich with a paper thin piece of meat covered in sauce and thin piece of cheese. Asked where's the beef and was told this is the pre-measured serviing size you get. They raised the price to $20.00 for a piece of bread and sauce. Don't order it and expect meat in the sandwich. Was told the owner was okay with the serving, If i wanted meat i would of had to pay $6.00 extra. Used to be a good place. read more

The restaurant has really gone downhill. Prices up, quality down. They only will take orders from the website, so being able to customize any item is impossible. I tried to sub onion rings for fries, but ended up getting both. Should have looked in the bag before I left. So, a couple months later tried calling in an order anyway and luckily they accepted. I needed a chicken sandwich baked not fries with the sauce on the side, also a roast beef dip with onion rings instead of fries and extra dipping sauce (chipotle). When I got there to pick it up, it wasn't ready when it was supposed to be. I could hear them talking about my order and I told them it was extra chipotle sauce. Well, I should have looked in the bag again but didn't. They didn't put the chicken sandwich sauce of the side, the roast beef dip wasn't au jus as I had expected, it was terrible and no chipotle sauce at all to be found. I most likely won't be back, the pizzas also used to be good, but they are all one size rectangular with garlic and Parmesan baked in. I guess if you have to order online and they can't get the order right when you are actually talking to them (they actually had to hand me off to another person when I was ordering), something is wrong. Service sucked. Incredibly rude staff. Holly is loud and aggressive like a rabid baboon. Holly openly talked about her promiscuous lifestyle saying she has been "popping out kids since the age of 5" I felt very uncomfortable and incredibly irritated. we live up the street and love the pizza's they would make for us, best around, but that has all changed. now they have a rectangle pizza, very small with almost no ingredients. the dough was tough, and not up to standards at all. they also don't offer 1/2 the pizza with some toppings and the other half with other toppings. very disapointing in this change, we will not be buying our pizzas there any longer! plus we love a good pretzel, but with a good creamy beer cheese, not velveeta from a jar, just so you know! read more

WTH HAPPENED!!! If you've ever had their pizza it was amazing along with everything on the menu. One of the best pizzas around. I've gone for years with many friends and family. The pizza was huge, loaded, and made like pan pizza with 10 very large slices (only a large size on the menu but totally fine because you would always take most home) I bragged on this place to a friend and brought her here for a weekday lunch. Told her she will be back for the amazing pizza. The server said she needed to let us know that the pizza had changed. Same price, still one size large on menu, still10 slices but It's square and it's enough to feed you 2 girls. (Yes 2 small appetites I'll have to say) It took one hour and 35 minutes to get it so we had to have them split it and take it to go. (They said after an hour that the cook made a mistake and had to remake it) So the manager gave me a free pizza card. Now this pizza like frozen pizza but worse, with no flavor, very little toppings and beware of the sausage. I thought it was pepperoni that had gone bad but it was very thin round slices of sausage. We got a pepperoni, sausage supreme with pineapple. I wish I could post a photo of the pizza in the box It's so funny. The little square pizza sits in the middle and looks hilarious! The other pizza barely fit in the box it was so big. Maybe after business slows they will rethink what they have done and bring it back. Raise the price a couple bucks but don't kill a good thing that brought in business. I have to say it's not just the pizza that they have cut back size and quality for the same price, as I'm hearing this from the group I go with. Also, the mixed drinks are now mostly mixer, you cannot taste alcohol at all. So drink the beer! Update: I decided to use the free pizza card 3 weeks later with a friend that I've had pizza there with before. We called in to go, a loaded pizza with everything (But not the thin round scary sausage) When my friend was handed the box It was so light in weight she thought they forgot to put in the pizza LOL. Yep! Still the same tiny little 10 slice square pizza in the middle of the large box with very little toppings and no flavor. Sorry to say they lost my business along with at least 12 groups of friends and families that I go there with. I'm sure most of their business are locals and it's convenient location but, it's not that much further to go for a good pizza and drink. read more

The food is great but after COVID the customer service hit the floor. We kept giving them extra chances thinking they just had a bad day. We were even bringing in extra family and friends and they were surprised y tbe horrible customer service. Tbe lady with the white hair which we believe was tbe manager or maybe owner was one of the Rudest, we even heard her bashing children and their parents to another customer about how the parents don't clean up after children and we were there with children. We used tell friends and family to go there but not no more, we tell people our stories and not go there. I've been spending my free time on lake Goodwin for the better half of 5 years always getting food at the paddle pub take out or dine In and I've never had any complaints with there food but there service I can't say the same i went there last night with my friends after a lake day we sat In the bar as the dinning room was closed witch shouldnt be a problem because all my friends are in there 30s and I am 21 years old the youngest and apon are waitress arriving at the table is we're everything went south I was told to leave because my ID is vertical witch last time I checked is still a valid ID but in stead of having a conversation and coming to a solution we were extremely mistreated by a very disrespectful waitress and we were told we snuck in when the workers held the door open for us and then they said they don't recognize us and kicked us out after we explained all we wanted was a couple of waters and some nachos and didn't want any alcoholic beverages and what really tipped me over the edge was the fact that I can't even count the amount of times I've sat at the bar and been served beer and shots with my vertical ID senec I turned 21 in December and i undertand there's rules and plan on getting a horizontal ID but that dosent excuse the poor behavior towards me and my friends that were being totally compliant and respectful it's really sad to see what once was one of our favorite places ran to the ground by terrible service and as of now I don't see me or any of my friends going back and I will make sure to spread the word of the service to be expected!!! read more

When I visit home I love going to the Paddle Pub. It is your perfect hometown bar that is updated and clean. The servers are always very kind, the drinks are strong, and really good food (esp the pizza!). I only did 4 stars because I wish they did a better job at either not overserving or controlling the everyday drunks in the bar. Some nights there are guys that start to bother you and theyre harmless but they don't leave or you see people stumbling to their car & driving away. It is quite sad and annoying. A lot of people in the area love this bar and it is great, just a few kinks to work out. read more
