I came to Paleta Bar to finally try the viral Dubai cookie. So many friends have sent it to me saying I need to make it and sell it but of course, I had to taste it first. One cookie cost $6.50 and it's filled with katafi and pistachio. The texture totally surprised me --it was soft and stretchy like mochi, but after looking at some of the recipes, it seems the base is actually marshmallow. That probably explains why it's less sweet than you'd expect, with that perfect crunch from the katafi and nuttiness from the pistachio. Definitely going to start experimenting with my own version soon... but I'm glad I got my first fix. read more

First time trying The Paleta Bar. Service was great. We were greeted immediately by Alexis who was very sweet. She asked if we had been here before and we said we were new. She welcomed us again and thanked us for choosing to come in. She went over the process on how to order and what paletas they have. She had us start with a Taro sample as she stated it's their most popular flavor. We sampled a few others that they had but ultimately went with the Taro paleta and the banana paleta. We then walked over to the side and got toppings for it. She also offered us to try some of their fresh fruit juice, watermelon and also the orange mixed with pineapple. Both equally yummy. Melt in your mouth deliciousness! The texture is ultra creamy like ice cream on a stick instead of icy. This is not your average popsicle! I ordered a variety including dipped and non-dipped bars. They offer milk-based and water-based paletas. I sampled a few paleta flavors like durian and pistachio, and both are good. I end up choosing Mazapan, it's so yummy and amazing! It's a Mexican treat made of crushed peanuts and powdered sugar, the flavor is nostalgic, comforting, and delightful! Mazapan reminds me so much of Philippines polvorone, which is a popular snack that has toasted flour, powdered milk, butter and sugar, and is not too sweet. I requested dark chocolate drizzle and mix nuts (chopped brazil nuts, peanuts, almonds), the dark chocolate and crunchy topping has such a wonderful texture and is so appealing that it makes mazapan taste fantastic! Checked out The Paleta Bar a few days ago for a nice cool afternoon treat. They have a lot of flavors with an option to have your bar drizzled, half dipped, or full dipped with chocolate. They also had a lot of toppings if you really wanted to get crazy with your paleta. I chose a matcha flavored paleta bar with a full dip of chocolate and topped with coconut. It was messy, but really tasty. My husband opted for the hazelnut crunch paleta with a chocolate drizzle. He also liked his treat, but did wish there was a little more crunch. This location was kept clean with ample seating to enjoy your dessert on site as well as a gender neutral restroom. Staff were fairly friendly. I love coming to the paleta bar for 2 reasons: the paletas are so delicious and recently one of my new favorite desserts & the service is always so great! My last visit I was helped by Jay. He was so accommodating and friendly. My favorite paleta is the strawberry con crema but unfortunately they have been out of stock for a while (please bring it back!!). Instead, I get the strawberry or strawberry cheesecake paleta drizzled with condensed milk and mochi--so yummy! Jay was so nice and gave me a mango con crema paleta to go so I could try it as it is similar to the one I usually get but is mango flavor instead. Upon walking in, we were greeted very nicely and felt welcomed right off the bat. Once the employees found out our guests were from Texas and were hit to visit, they were given a bunch of samples. I wanted to try this place and we finally did ! The owners were so nice ! They greeted us and right always let us sample paletas . I wish I was able to have more than one but was stuffed from lunch. I took a gamble on the strawberries with Lechera in the middle and the gamble paid off ! That Paleta is the only one that you aren't able to sample because the condense milk would make it messy. The Paleta Bar opened yesterday on the corner of Warm Springs and Rainbow, taking over the old Lea Lana's Bananas location. This is their second location in town -- their first being in The Shanghai Plaza on Spring Mountain Rd. I actually really enjoy The Paleta Bar but I hated going to The Shanghai Plaza cause parking is a pain there. Now that they're opened in the Southwest, parking is way easier! We came by after lunch to grab something sweet. The establishment is spacious with tables. The "bar" set up is similar to their first location with a fridge displaying the paletas, topping area, and then the agua frescas before you get to the cashier. All the flavors that they have at the first location, they have at this location as well. They might not be displayed but they have them! If you ever want to sample a flavor, all you have to do is ask! For any paleta you get, you can get it plain, drizzled with chocolate, dipped, with topping, etc. There are endless options for you to choose from. My husband went for their hazelnut paleta with drizzled chocolate and almonds while I got a plain durian paleta. I love durian and I really enjoy their durian paleta! It has enough durian flavor to it and it's super creamy! Their service was fantastic -- super friendly and willing to explain the menu. Really enjoyed this place on a nice hot summer night. First of all when you walk in it's very clean and everything is displayed and nicely labled. Decorations are simple and not overdone. Samples are available upon request and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We tried 4 different paletas and none of them disappointed. Since we all have different tastes, it was nice to build your own and see what they had on the menu. We tried the Hazelnut crunch, Taro, Pistachio, and the Avocado paleta. My very first time having real Paletas! The shop is small and cute with good signage, lighting, super clean and friendly. Pick a Paleta flavor and they'll dress it up with dips or toppings. A chocolate full dip banana paleta is maybe the best thing I've ever eaten. Fresh, great texture from the banana and the chocolate, and no sugar rush afterwards. We also tried the Dubai paleta and it was good but a little much, and expensive at nearly $10, whereas a full dip paleta is around $6. The shop is very cozy, love the minimalist designs and how clean and spacious it is. I usually get the watermelon paleta, it's one of my favorites!
