Had dinner at one of our favorite restaurant last night. We had forgotten how good the food was at the Hurricane Cafe. We started of splitting the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos for an app, then I had Grilled Salmon with mash potatoes and grilled vegetables "Fish was fresh and cooked to perfection and delicious" and my wife had Pear & Gorgonzola salad with grilled Chicken dressing Vermont Maple Vinaigrette and again was "outstanding". As always we brought our two Jack Russells whom where angles sitting with us outdoors. Thankful that they are open again. read more

One of my favorite breakfast places, offers fabulous choices for breakfast and lunch. They also serve dinners and have a good selection of wines, but they are not known for dining--they offer decent vegan options, great salads, and unbelievable omelets. The spot has a breakfast-joint atmosphere, and indoor and outdoor seating is available. Strip mall parking can sometimes be challenging. read more

Seems like every time we come in we end up telling ourselves that we're not coming back. And then, a few months later we try it again and are once again reminded that the service is.... Horrible. We stopped for dinner. Service was excellent. Food was wonderful and came more quickly than we expected. We sat outside next to a hedge with a lovely fountain. Another 3.5 star spot in the area. Call ahead for breakfast to make sure you can get a table. The staff here is super friendly. They don't have. Bloody Mary's for breakfast, but they do have mimosas, which is basically a mini bottle of champagne and a glass of orange juice. I had the crab cake Benedict's, and they were swimming (pun intended) in hollandaise sauce. The crab cakes themselves were very bready and not very crabby. Cheddar cheese grits were pretty good. It's certainly not bad, but I think Berry Fresh Cafe is better. read more

Great breakfast place! The staff are all very upbeat, friendly and professional. Service was prompt and we never had to wait for a thing! We ordered the chicken and biscuits and an omelette. Enjoyed them both very much! Portions are generous, the biscuits were very very good! Hash browns were standard, the rye toast was large and tasty! We ordered a short stack of pancakes and honestly, I wouldn't recommend them, they weren't very good, dense and gummy. But every thing else was fantastic! If you have a dog.... They have an outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant that is very dog friendly. Make sure to bring your own bowl for water! read more

We had a great breakfast the other morning at the hurricane cafe! The food was tasty and the value was great. Our server was very attentive and friendly however we noticed some issues elsewhere in the restaurant with waitstaff ignoring tables and a bit of disorganization. We personally had a good experience but I wouldn't be surprised if it is a bit inconsistent here. read more

Dont go here as a single patron. Waited 30 minutes and was bypassed to be seated for larger parties. I understand I was a single diner but not an excuse to be bypassed multiple times as i waited patiently in line for a seat. Only wanted to seat me at the counter which was already elbow to elbow. This restaurant was a special place with great food and a very attentive and long term staff. That was until a few months ago when new owners took over. The reduced the menu, changed recipes and raised prices considerably. Most of the staff have quit to to the poor treatment by the new owners. A 1 Star is too much for our experience. My wife's favorite food is a nice salad from different places around town. We came here and she ordered the Ahi Tuna salad. It was ok. She has had better, and has had worse, so... However, I ordered the Salad with Chicken, covered with Frito Chips. I was thinking it was Chicken, breaded in crushed Fritos. Boy was I wrong! See the attached picture for what I got. Basically, it was a salad, with two or three small pieces of chicken, and what seemed like an entire bag of Frito Potatoe Chips just literally dumped on the top of the salad. It was so salty and dry, it was ridiculous. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. Worst salad I've ever had, by FAR!!!!! read more

All I can say is yum! We came here for brunch on a Saturday and did not disappoint. Their breakfast/brunch menu had lots of options from pancakes, to eggs to fancy quiches and eggs Benedict. The prices were typical for a breakfast out, around $10 a plate. Pictured here is the ham, onion & Swiss quiche. DELICIOUS! I was also very happy that it came with a side of fruit. Since it's close to the beach it's a casual atmosphere, feel free to wear your bathing suit with a coverup on top! read more

We tried this place because my daughter wanted to make sure she had calamari while we were visiting her grandparents. WOW! Awful doesn't even describe it! It had at least 1/2 cup of garlic mush ladled on top as if garlic were the main dish. She tried, but could not eat it. I tried a piece and choked. My sister in law said "that's inedible and the garlic isn't even cooked" (which explains why it was so sharp and bitter). We sent it back and the cook said "that's the way we serve it". The poor embarrassed waitress had to bring it back to us. She was clearly humiliated because she knew it was inedible. I wish I had taken a picture, because it looked nothing like what the owner's buddy photographed for his review. You couldn't really see the calamari on our plate beneath the 1/2 inch garlic mush tsunami. Try this place at your own risk... other food was edible, but not exceptional. Fortunately, she got her calamari the next day at Thirsty Turtle across the street where everything was fabulous. read more

My husband and a friend were looking for a spot near the Loggerhead Marine Life Center, and this not only fit as a good location, but was also a great choice for breakfast for three of us! We were seated immediately at an inside table when arriving at 10am on a Sunday in June. Perhaps we got lucky since the snowbirds are gone, but it was nice to have inside seating with AC as the humidity had started to creep up on us. There is quite a bit of outside seating though for those who don't mind the extra moisture this time of year. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and our food was great! The menu offered healthy items as well as meaty items, and my friend was able to get her strawberry waffle she wanted, COVERED in fresh strawberries. I enjoyed my veggie omelet and decaf cappuccino, while my husband loved his french toast. I'll easily make this spot my go-to breakfast spot before visiting the turtles at Loggerhead again! read more

We chose Hurricane Cafe for it's pet friendly policy bringing our cat and dog on leashes. Yes, our cat is a very accomplished traveler. Two of us ordered the French onion and one the chicken noodle soup followed by the mushroom flat bread and Jamaican wings. The French onion had a very nice flavor and the cheese on top was fantastic. The only suggestion I'd have is to have the bowl in an actual dish that could go into the oven to really get that browness on top. The chicken soup was creamy and enjoyable. I thought the wings were very unique. The jerk seasoning was baked and not too messy. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The flat bread pizza wasn't truly a flat bread but it was average. Nothing to go back for but good enough to eat. Our server was super friendly to my kids and our four legged friends. That's enough to bump it up to five circles for me. It's priced well and outdoor seating is simple but comfortable. read more

Food was subpar at best. Took over an hour to get food after being seated. I had huevos rancheros and my gf had corned beef hash. Hash browns were more of a mash potato consistency and guacamole was well over a month old. When my gf was asked whether or not she would like traditional or homemade corned beef and was told by our waiter Erica, traditional corned beef hash is from a can? Wtf? Should have gone with traditional at that point bc homemade was garbage. There were 4 tables that were sat and ate before we even got our food. All the tables in our section were having similar issues. To add insult to injury, no mgr on duty. If you like slow service and annoying northeastern accents; this is your place. Other great places in Juno to spend your money, skip this place. read more

Thanks Yelp! We were a group of 5 at the Juno Beach Art Festival and were looking for a place where everyone would be happy with the menu choices. Hurricane Cafe did not disappoint! This cute neighborhood restaurant is located on the corner of US 1 & Donald Ross Road in a small strip shopping center next to CVS. There are a few outside tables and inside there are large booths & smaller tables. Service was very good & our waiter was very helpful with his suggestions. Three of us had the French dip which was delicious. The meat was sliced thin and was not fatty at all. The au jus was really good & not too salty. The bread fell apart a little but was fine. I chose sweet potato fries as my side- very good! Crunchy & fresh. My sister had a salad with grilled salmon & she loved it. The portion was large, the fruit & veggies in her salad were very fresh & she said her salmon was cooked wonderfully. Just a heads up - they wouldn't accept the $10 coupon offered for Yelp check in because it was for dinner only. Highly recommend & we will be back - especially when we visit the Loggerhead Marine Center which is right up the block. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! Gave it a second chance and "called" ahead... JOKE! They said 11:15 reservation - got here told 15 min and still standing here waiting 40min. Waste of time not worth it!!! We waited 35 min to sit as they walked others by us to sit. They pick and choose who is seated and the order. It's very unorganized. After waiting we sat waiting on our food over an hour. The service is horrible. On a scale of 1-10 its generous to give them a 1. The food is good but not worth the horrible service and 2 hour wait!!! Peace out! read more

It's a busy spot, especially on the weekend. Expect a wait for inside seating, outside is quicker. Just watch out for the rock chuckers. We sat outside because of availability and time constraints. Never ever talk about catching a plane, limited time, traffic should be OK if we leave in a reasonable amount of time. Ok? Well, waitresses have a sixth sense and it has nothing to do with feeling the foods up. We got our water.....some drinks.......our order placed......where could the food be? Clink....ahh here's 3 out of 4....clink....finally the 4th. You guys look good, that should be it, quite literal, never saw her again. Grabbed the hostess for a coffee refill...clink....times flying, ya think we'll see her? We finally grabbed another wait staff...clink...for our tab. Her reaction was humorous, a quick look around like the fight or flight sense was kicking in. Clink...what the....yeah some little brat and his sister were chucking the river rocks. The parents, or the birthing adults of these two juvenile spawns were oblivious, while we dodged incoming. Hope their breakfast was pleasant. She scowled during her greeting of us, took us to our seats, hastily wiped down the table (leaving it not much cleaner than before her cleaning) threw menus on the seat and stomped away. I watched her treat other customers the same way. Although our breakfast was fresh and good I will not be back because of this rude hostess "Nicole".
