Great food! Went on a Sunday early evening around 5pm, not many people there but got busier as we were leaving. Located at the end of a strip mall this cafe looks more like a quaint dining room inside with nice covered patio seating with ceiling fans & kindly welcome pets (patio only obviously). Don't let the laid back style fool you on the quality of food. We had plenty to chose from on the menu but the sheet of specials from 4-6 are a no brainer. There were about 10 delicious seafood & non-seafood options that are large portions and include a soup or salad for $17.95 and an inexpensive option to add coffee and dessert. I highly recommended the New England clam chowder. The rosemary bread they serve right way is soft and comes with seasoned olive oil. If we weren't so stuffed we would've had dessert! I got the macadamia crusted fish with coconut rice & steamed veggies (melt in your freakin mouth!) and he got fish & chips (yum)! Will definitely be going back to try more. Went there today for a quick breakfast. I had been there in the past and somehow remembered that their blueberry pancakes were worth a return visit. To my dIsappointment, my memory failed me as the pancakes were neither light, fluffy or filled with wild blueberries. In fact they were undercooked and cakelike with just a few wild berries. Hurricane Cafe is one of those understated and unassuming places that surprises one with fare that's not only copious and generous, but prepared with a lot of enthusiasm, love and care for the art of cooking. I ordered takeout and went to pick up, the guy behind counter was putting in an order, so I waited when he was done, I said can you please ring me up for my food, it is right here on top of this stack. He ignored me, walked away and took an order from a couple sitting at counter, he comes back ignores me again and starts putting in the couples order. He comes back to the same computer, ignores me and starts putting in the couples order, I was like can you please ring me up, my food is right here and its getting cold (I had eggs benedict, so not exactly a reheat kind of food), no response. I finally said can I please just give you this $20 so i can get my food while it's still warm and that got his attention. So basically you need to bribe the staff to get your takeout, which is pretty lame. Food is good but won't be back for takeout as that was such a frustrating situation, should not have to bribe waitstaff to check you out when your food is sitting right there next to the register and getting cold. Maybe cross train the hostess to check out orderes or other waitstaff, two other staff members walked by and made no eye contact so they were not interested in jumping in to help out. Although, all the severs were wearing masks, the hostess who brought the menus out and seated everyone was wearing her mask with her nose and part of her mouth exposed. Rather pointless. I really wish this experience could have been better. I came in with a party of four. It had been my second time here. We were at the door for quite a while without any one greeting us. Finally I walked up to hostess to tell her that we were waiting for a table. She seemed annoyed not just with us, but with anyone who spoke to her. Finally we were seated and greeted by our server. We stopped in for breakfast today. Had never been here but quite a few neighbors said how good it was. We were definitely not disappointed. I had scrambled eggs with fruit, toast and a side of crispy bacon. Yes I'm boring but it was cooked perfectly and the fruit cup was very fresh. My husband had the Huevos Rancheros. It came out steaming hot and looked so delicious that I had to steal a bite. Yum. We sat at the counter and our friendly waitress took very go care of us. Our coffee never had a chance to get cold, as she was there to refill them every few minutes. Hurricane Cafe is a bright, clean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Permanent resident in Juno will never go back. Staff has terrible attitude. Pick up orders always have mistakes. This weekend was the worst - and the staff just doesn't care. Other places in the area know what customer service means - go to them! I support local but not when they treat their customers with disrespect. They'll see who doesn't support them off season. Probably the WORST place to eat in Juno. I'm tired of having to call and have orders fixed because of their mistakes - and then get treated like I'm doing something wrong. read more

Delicious food' nicely presented, attentive service! I ate breakfast at the Hurricane Cafe on a Sunday morning, and was quite pleased. Although this is a very popular place (particularly during "season"), we waited only 10 minutes for a table. The noise level inside was a bit high, but not to the point of having to yell at dining companions. While a tad on the pricey side ($8.50 and up for omelets)' the food is delicious. I had the Mediterranean omelette, which featured spinach, mushrooms and goat cheese. Served with your choice of fruit, oatmeal or potatoes, as well as toast, there was more than enough food to satisfy my needs. I didn't take the time to look at their menu for lunch or dinner, but would venture to guess that the experience would be similar and will return to find out! read more

I visited Hurricane Cafe in March for their weekday early bird special. I'm always surprised at the huge portions that Florida restaurants serve. My shrimp linguine had more than enough for me to eat for dinner and for lunch the following day. My meal also included a house salad with blue cheese dressing and a slice of Key Lime pie. All the food was very good for the price. Nothing especially exciting in terms of menu options, but there is something for everyone. Our service was plenty fast, but there was some confusion about the rewards card that my aunt brought with her. Although she gave it to our waiter with her credit card, she was unsure if our meal points had been added to her account balance. The hostess told us that there was no way for us to have a record of the added points. Oh well, hopefully they are there. read more

Omelette was big enough to feed two. Cheese grits were buttery but could have used more cheese. My son had the 2+2+2. Two eggs two choc chip pancakes two bacon and hash browns. He was in heaven. Be wary of deceptive pricing if you decide to visit for weekend brunch -- such as on a Sunday at 1:00 p.m., when apparently the breakfast menu is no longer served. The kitchen will gladly make you a brunch item like eggs, but there is a $2 upcharge based on the time of day that you order. And any predetermined omelette, such as a Western, is billed with separate charge for each named ingredient (ham, peppers, onions and cheddar cheese). That deceitful practice (not disclosed in advance by the waitress) increases the price of a Western omelette from $12.75 on the menu to $15.40 (before any surcharge). The after-fact-explanation explanation by the server: The computerized cash register makes her enter the omelette as a custom creation -- even though it is already built on the menu! Really! Seriously! Be afraid, be very afraid of being scammed at this local eatery where the food is better than the customer service. read more

We stopped in at the Hurricane Cafe after spending some time at the beach and turtle hospital next door. We were seated promptly in the main dining room. The HC is no frills but the food is excellent! I had the tuna wrap with waffle fries and my girlfriend had the turkey avocado sandwich on gluten free bread. Everything was delicious, and the water glasses are huge! A big plus if you are dehydrated after being out in the hot Florida sun. Our server, Kayla (?) was incredible. She was incredibly personable and made us feel right at home, even though we are from New England. We will absolutely be coming back the next time we are down in Florida!!!! read more

We have been here now 5 or 6 times since our son moved to WPB back in the spring of 2014. Couple lunches and several breakfasts. Every time has been a great experience. Food is great, service is good and prices are reasonable. The menu is very diverse with something for everyone. It also has a great choice of vegetarian selections which made our daughter very happy. Heard about this restaurant on the radio recently. I know its been around for awhile. My wife and I decided to give it a try and we were greatly disappointed. The dinner menu was very limited and rather pricey for such average food in an average setting. The flatbreads we ordered were dry and had minimal taste. Our server seemed easily confused and had to be told several times what we wanted. The staff in general didnt seem too friendly. The appetizer we ordered was nothing special. Not sure what all the hype is about this place. There are much better options available in the area with better food and better settings. I do not recommend it. read more

I ate here two mornings in a row on a recent trip and really enjoyed their omelets. We had a little bit of a hard time spotting it, it is just north of the intersection of Donald Ross and US 1. I went there for dinner and lunch last week. Most impo4rtant thing about this place is servers are really friendly and nice and the place is spotless clean. When you order a drink it always comes with a nice glass and plenty of ice and they always watch and refill. Burgers are always good. I had a cornflake crusted grouper sandwich and I'm pretty sure that was the best sandwich I've ever eaten in my life. Best casual dining in the Jupiter Beach/Juno area. Well done Hurricane Cafe. Great, local restaurant with light, bright furnishings, polite staff, and good food. The atmosphere was cozy, and it was clear that many locals frequent this place. They bring out the greatest bread basket I've ever seen...filled with garlic bread, raisin toast, etc. The sangria was quite potent and delicious...I could only finish one glass. I ordered the 10 oz. ribeye steak covered in gorgonzola, and my co-workers ordered NY strip with gorgonzola. The sides were a little overdone. My dish had whipped potatoes and delicious steamed veggies. There was a nest of almost stale french fired onion strings on my plate. My co-worker had a deep fried potato croquette and stuffed tomato which he barely finished. Also, my steak was advertised as 10 oz., but 2 oz. of it was pure fat around the edges. Otherwise, it was a pleasant, unpretentious place with a local feel. I will definitely return. Update: I visited again in Oct. 2010, and I was not so impressed the second time. The sangria comes out of a bucket behind the bar, the steak was tough, and the veggies & mashed potatoes were just bland. The only highlight of the meal was the awesome, freshly prepared apple turnover with caramel sauce. If I go back, I'll only get dessert. read more

My wife took me to breakfast here at the Hurricane Grill this morning. While the parking lot looked busy, there were spaces in the back and no wait at all (this was around 915am). We were seated an the waitress arrived for our drink order very quickly. We went ahead and ordered a warm cinnamon bun to get started. I love that they have a "starters" section on their breakfast menu, LOL. The cinnamon bun was warm as advertised, but a tad underwhelming. I probably wouldn't order it again, but my perception may have been skewed by cinnamon buns I have had at other places that were exceptional. I ordered the traditional eggs Benedict with a side of sliced tomato, my wife ordered the short stack and hash browns. The short stack was 2 very large pancakes which my wife enjoyed. She made the mistake of salting her hash browns before tasting them. They were well seasoned to begin with, so the additional salt was almost too much. Speaking of which, while I am a fan of the sea salt grinder on the table, the grind on these particular bottles was huge, so giant chunks of salt come out, bigger chunks than the kosher salt most professional kitchens use. This would be an area to reconsider. The eggs Benedict was very good. The English muffin appeared to be fresh baked, or they have found a really cool vendor for oval shaped English muffins, either way...Kudos. The eggs were cooked perfectly. If I had any criticism at all it would be that the waitress probably let it sit on the pass a tad too long because the hollandaise was starting to coagulate. She was also a tad stingy on the coffee refills, and considering how small the cups are, this is an issue for me. She asked me if I wanted more, then went off and forgot. I would have been fine if she came back and said "i'm sorry, I forgot" I'm in the biz and I know this happens, but don't lie to me and tell me you were waiting for a fresh pot to brew when other waitresses were going around the dining room pouring joe. By the way, it's a team effort, how about refilling the whole room ladies? It's not that difficult. She did offer me a coffee to go and that was a nice finishing touch which brought her back into my good graces. We will certainly be back again. I'm looking forward to trying their omelet or the biscuits & gravy. read more
