    Dirty martini

When you go, ask for Frank! Best server, hands down! I arrived during happy hour and the dirty martini did not let me down! I also tried the spinach dip and stuffed mushrooms but the sweet heat fried shrimp was the show stopper. It came drenched in a spicy/tangy sauce that I'll remember months from now! I also had the Catfish Bienvenu. It arrived sizzling in butter *chef's kiss* with a loaded baked potato on the side. Everything was hot and nice sized portions. I look forward to going back to try even more of their menu.

Celebrated my grandma's birthday here Sunday after church. I've been here a few times before and I'd say it's one of the nicer sit down restaurants to get food from in the parish. We made reservations, but it wasn't too packed to say it was a Sunday. Once seated we received complementary French bread. Our waitress was nice and very attentive to detail as we had about 16 people. Some items we ordered were the fried chicken, loaded baked potato, catfish bienvenue, crab cakes, fried fish, and the crawfish Orleans. Thankfully, everything came out hot. My cousins who had the fried foods enjoyed it, my aunt liked the gumbo, and my mom enjoyed her crab cakes. My catfish bienvenue and my aunt's crawfish Orleans could have had some more seasoning. We also brought a cake to the restaurant for my grandma, and they told us ahead of time they do charge a $10 fee. Overall my grandma enjoyed her birthday lunch.

The food was a hit or miss here. The crawfish balls were really good, but the "fall off the bone" ribs were fried and not falling off the bone. The shrimp was pretty good and real catfish is served, but it was not seasoned well. The Mac and cheese looked amazing, but lacked much flavor. This is a really nice spot, but very expensive for its location. Then they charge a non cash fee, as if we are not in the year 2024 following a pandemic. Overall, it was definitely not worth the price at all and I will not be returning. However, staff is amazing and both welcoming and helpful.

Lunch and service from Rosie was very wonderful. The only thing that I did not like was a surcharge If you use a credit card ! it's not posted anywhere in the restaurant and I think that's disrespectful to their customers, beware!

I must say that the food was really good . Food: *We ordered the fried green tomatoes as a appetizer. They were fried really well and the tomatoes had a nice taste. I forgot to take a picture but we received 7 with one order. My family enjoyed them and were pleasantly surprised by the taste. *For our entree we order a Seafood platter. The menu says it feeds two but it was well enough for 3 adults, and we still took some home. I loved the fish, oysters, onion rings and shrimp. It also comes with toast, stuffed crab and fries. *The menu had options for any and everything you could want. Steaks, burgers, chicken, pasta , salads, seafood, tacos , desserts . You would not leave here disappointed . We also received complimentary garlic bread Customer service : Our waitress was a nice older lady that did a great job making sure our drinks never got to low, she kept us updated about the status of our food. It wasn't anything that we had to ask for she handled it. All of the staff I came in contact with were really nice and welcoming . Restaurant Appearance: The restaurant shares a building with a casino, but there's a outside entrance to where you never have to even see the casino side. It was a really clean restaurant, kid of had a slight upscale look to it . The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. One of the dinning rooms was a little cold but over all the appearance is nice.

In my opinion, I think this is the best restaurant in St. Bernard. Great variety of dishes and Karen is a wonderful bartender.

It's just a Cajun restaurant/Casino that happens to have really good food and it's a truck stop.

It is kinda pricey for a casino truck stop restaurant. Food was decent but I was more surprised by the prices than the quality of the food

Ordered take out and it was delicious. Despite how very busy they were, the staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Staying not too far from this Gerald's location turned out to be a godsend. Everything we ordered…read moreover the course of our couple day trip for Mardi Gras was delicious - the donuts, the beignets, and the sausage biscuits. We didn't take advantage of a late night beignet, but it's good to know Gerald's is open 24/7. This place was a hit with the kids and adults alike. The inside decor is like one of those old school donut shops from the '80s and makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly, even amidst how busy it can become, and were handling a parade-heavy weekend like pros. That's all on top of the affordability. I'm not sure why there are so many low reviews because, imho, Gerald's is top notch.

Quickly you know its a local restaurant frequented by the surrounding residents. When you enter there's a bar top to eat and a small dinning area. Our server was friendly and brought us waters and menus. We ordered 2 western omelets, French Toast, Breakfast plate, burger and egg biscuit. The portions are big for the price. The omelets were full of veggies and meat. The biscuit was huge for my youngest. The burger was filling for my son. You can truly taste the home style touch and I recommend this as a stop. For a family of 5 $69 plus tip was a good stop.
