We came about an hour after opening on a Saturday, not too many weeks after opening. We got the chips + salsa and added the beer cheese. Great value and the kids loved it. The wife and I shared the cheeseburger (it was early and we weren't ready for a full dinner). Good quality beef but it was under seasoned as others have mentioned. The literal brand they put on the burger bun looked good but impacted the taste too much and it all just tasted burnt. My wife ripped the top of the bun off. Our son has an egg allergy and there was seemingly not an option of any food besides tortilla chips. Would recommend having/forming an allergy & ingredients list that's reliable if you hope to grow the family-friendly business. Bottom line - a few small complaints that are pretty insignificant and won't apply to everyone. We'll keep going back to support a small, new local business with great potential as long as they keep up the good work and drive towards getting even better! read more

Burgers were good. Service lacks a bit. We sat outside, had to get our own napkins and ask for ketchup. No tap water, have to buy bottled. We had to pay for 3 glasses of wine when only got 1, they didn't know how to delete the extras. read more

McDonald's is better for food. This place has one cook in the kitchen. So if your food is slow or not great, you know that it is because they were understaffed. My advice just come here for a beer. Don't be in a hurry or picky. Tip in cash so they have to earn it. They expect you to order and pay upfront. read more

I'm a proponent in supporting local small businesses. My feedback is meant to be constructive. First, the environment - wide open spacing, live entertainment (Saturday afternoon), plenty of elbow room and very informal. Second, service - the overall service needs to be reevaluated. Entering the establishment it's unknown; wait to be seated or grab a seat, the latter is the actual current method. Someone greeting guests or a board providing instructions would be helpful. Ordering the food and drink was not without discord, several interruptions from grabbing the drinks to overcharge/credit and no way to carry multiple drinks ordered as they drinks in plastic cups are provided at end of placing entire order. We were provided a small order placard number to place on our table then watched the servers walk the entire building and the outside seating area trying to locate the patrons table. The time from placing our order to the food arriving was longer than expected, 45+ minutes. The burgers arrived but the fries and onion rings arriving another 5-10 minutes after the burgers. After receiving our food the manager was noticeably doing damage control by talking to customers that were experiencing excessively long wait times. Recommend management reassess their service. Also recommend management travel to other restaurants such as Hopdoddy's or other restaurants to see how food service and table numbering are used to reduced service time and to eliminate servers wondering the entire facility inside and out looking for the patron's table. Lastly, food quality - the 3 burgers ordered were quite tasty and so were the onion rings and the cider drinks, however the fries had something to desire and weren't at all tasty. I like good fries but these weren't. Not sure if it was the fries or how they were prepared. If service is significantly improved overall and there's improvement on tasty fries this restaurant has a fighting chance to be in business a year from now. read more

I finally got to go to Palomino this evening. I've been eager to try it as I love to support local businesses. The setting is terrific, the ambience and minimalist decor makes for a comfortable and welcoming setting. I do wish them well but I did not have a 5 start experience. The restaurant wasn't all that busy so the considerable wait for a basic burger put me off. The burger itself was quite good but nothing on it except a slice of American cheese and some pickle slices. For $15! I ordered a beer to accompany the burger. When I asked for my check it was $27! $10 for the beer. Those are concert venue prices or what you'd expect to pay at a major entertainment event. Again, I wish Palomino every success but at these prices it will be hard to be a regular. read more

I was excited to eat here we got are drinks and we waited 45 minutes for are food, went up to ask how much longer and they said " we forgot to send the ticket to the kitchen" they made us pay for are beers for the big mistake they made. We were the only Mexicans in there and all other customers where white included the workers, maybe discrimination who knows. read more

This is a cute gem close to San Gabriel Park! Great atmosphere for the whole family! Seating outside with tractor tires for the kids to climb on. The food was excellent and service very friendly. Even the cheese curds were impressive! read more

We thought we'd try The Palomino and support a local business and it was a huge disappointment. We will not be returning. We ordered three different burgers w/fries and a sweet pretzel. The pretzel was good. We waited 50 minutes for our food. The fries were warm but the burgers were cold. When I went up to the counter to question the server she said she was back there and watched them being made which does not change the fact that we were served cold burgers. They were mediocre at best. The fries are frozen and fried and that's alright but there is no way the burgers are worth $15+ each. So this place got $100 out of us but we won't be back. They also changed their menu by getting rid of all the sausage but that wasn't updated on website. Save your money and go to Whataburger or McDonald's instead. read more

We decided to try this because we'd heard about the burgers being the best in Georgetown. However, $67 for two burgers - one a simple, plain cheeseburger and both served cold because they were left on the servery hatch so long, small fries, a limp side salad consisting of a small plate of shredded iceberg lettuce and 4 halved cherry tomatoes, and two Mexican beers is a rip-off joke! Pretty much ignored by waitstaff from the get-go. The 'ambience' is very echoey and cafeteria-like with hard wooden benches in a converted garage type building. So many better places in Georgetown to spend our money next time we eat out. read more

We went there today and had a hamburger and a chicken salad. The hamburger was so dry it was almost inedible. A salad, $15, was comprised of a small bowl of iceberg lettuce, tomato or two and the chicken. The menu offers your choice of salad dressings. I ordered blue cheese. We don't have blue cheese. They told me they don't have blue cheese. Then I asked what do they have? And they told me all we have is ranch. I said this is not what the menu said. The waitress told me so sorry. I mentioned this to the server who asked me about our experience, and she said sorry about that. read more

First visit Sunday for dinner. Great food - had a burger and salad. Nice live music - wasn't too loud. Casual, clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and the service was great. Will definitely return. read more
