Unsatisfying payoffs are terrible because you actively feel your time has been wasted. The wait time for this place is worth it. You owe it yourself to break out of your comfort zone and sample some of the signature dishes this place is known for. But as a breakfast-any-time-of-the-day kind of guy l'm biased with zero authority to make any determination regarding comfort zones. It's a big decision, and you got all the time in the world to make it so don't be impulsive. All I know is that if you order the Stuffed French Toast you're only gimping yourself if you decide to end your meal there. I've been waiting to try this place since my friends have been here so many times and they enjoyed the food every time they went. So i came with a positive outlook and hyped to taste some amazing brunch food. However, my experience was not what I expected. Before coming here, I asked my friend what they recommended, like any other person trying out a friends recommendation. He said the OG Loaded Hash Browns were his favorite so I got those. My two friends that came along ordered The Pan French Toast w/ a side of Biscuit & Gravy and The Lumberjack upgrading pancakes to Tiramisu Pancakes. The drinks we ordered were OJ, Guava Lemonade, Watermelon Margarita, The Lost Punch, and the Hawaiian Sunset. Drinks came out first, our alcoholic drinks, the last three i listed, were watered down and tasteless. We mainly tasted the burn of the alcohol without any flavors of the other ingredients. As we were dreading our drinks, our food started to roll out and hit the table. The food runner noticed that we weren't eating our food right as it hit the table and asked us if everything was okay. We asked her if we can get utensils because there wasn't any when we first sat down. As a guest, you would expect to have utensils by the time the food arrives but we had to wait until the runner noticed that we weren't eating to get them. As we enjoyed our meals, we noticed that most of the items we had weren't seasoned/tasted bland. Even our server noticed that the side of Biscuit and Gravy wasn't garnished correctly, so she took it back and got the correct garnish for us. For my Loaded Hash Browns, it comes with a choice of toast, so I got Sourdough, which is the best toast imo. I thought they were just a lil behind since the restaurant was picking up, so I didn't want to rush our server to see if my toast is coming out anytime soon. Fast forward to me finishing my meal, my toast still never came out, so at that point I didn't want it anymore because I'm full now, but it was a disappointment. My friends pancakes weren't the best either, as it tasted like ordinary pancakes with some glaze & cream on top. Overall, my friends and I's experience wasn't the greatest as we thought it would be. The experienced continued even after the restaurant because once I got home, my friend realized there was a brown stain on the back on my pants where my thigh calves were. We smelled it and it smells like gravy so we can only assume that the booths weren't properly wiped down or if they were, then it wasn't thorough. Wait time: 5min at around 930am on a Wednesday Food: it wasn't as great but maybe we just ordered the wrong items Experience: Could've been better if things were wiped down properly and utensils were on the table before food came out Maybe it was just the wrong day to go or newer staff? Bubbly personality, helpful suggestions, and extra intuitive for my 8month. Suggested and followed through with a bucket toys. Lastly, when ready to pay bill, mentioned "please be sure to give me the check. I want to pay for her and kids because it was her birthday." Kevin was shocked but at the fact that I didnt tell him before hand. He proceeded to do just that and when he came back with the check he asked me "can you wait about 10min? Laura gave us exceptional, amazing service! She was very attentive and offered us options when we found out the specialty coffee machine was down. The loaded hash brown was great and she brought me extra serranos because I like it spicy! My friend got the pastrami & egg sandwich, but wanted steak instead of pastrami, and she made that happen! The ambiance was chill, and I like the fact they use different mugs. Gives it a homely feel! Also, the portions are big & they have he option to substitute the toast for pancakes- which I love! First time eating here after years of hearing about this place. It was about an hour wait before being seated and it took too long before the waiter took our orders. Luckily I was with my out of town relatives and we passed the time talking that it took a minute before we realized our food was taking an awful long time to come out. But once it did , it was great. I tried the shrimp & grits which were pretty good. The cinnamon roll pancake was delicious ( I recommend this). Absolutely loved our brunch this morning! From the food to the server, can't say enough about this place! We had a very sweet server named Nicholete and she recommended the Chilequilles and I was craving a drink so she suggested a margarita, both did not disappoint! Mind you, I wouldn't be so upset, but we also just waited 45 minutes to be seated. While sitting down, waiting for 30 minutes I was watching how food was being served, I get it, it's busy... but the runner was stacking plates on top of other plates and serving them to tables. So unsanitary, I do not want to eat my pancakes knowing another plate was stacked right on top of it and touching my food/counters filled bacteria. Awful experience here! Today, upon arriving my family and I waited 45 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we were given menus and told a waiter/waitress would be with us shortly. Local resident here, I've been coming to The Pan for 5+ years. Kind of sad to see the quality of food go down while the prices go way up. Breakfast burrito was burned and blackened across the entire bottom, peaches on the peach corn cakes were burned, and pieces of peach pits were included for a near tooth-breaking crunch. I have literally heard about "The Pan" for years and have waited so long to actually try it. On a serious note the food was exceptional, but the service was even better. I had the banana pancakes, which were fluffy and cooked just perfect with just the right amount of nuts and banana. Also, tried the pizzagna pizza and just wow. The ricotta cheese just melts in your mouth. I can't say I'm a fan of the crust, but since I left feeling super satisfied and enjoyed the company of our servers definitely deserves the 5 star rating!
