This is the new location of Arte Cafe, which used to be located in Cerritos. The restaurant is charming and has a different vibe than the previous location. This one is modern with some traditional qualities. It is on the main street of Bellflower Boulevard. There is street parking right in front as well as a small parking lot of the nearest intersection (across from Starbucks). Now let's talk about the good part -- the food! Chef Richard is the owner and he does modern American cuisine where it has fusions of French, Italian, and Asian. For example -- I had a his Long Life Noodle with Wagyu Beef. The flavor of the beed was paired so well with the noodle and the texture was delightful. His Sea Bass with a lemon caper sauce (made with butter most likely... we all know butter is the secret ingredient to all French cooking!) was seasoned perfectly and it wasn't overpowered by the lemon zest and capers. I really enjoyed his Wild Mushroom Crostini... and crostini is an Italian food item! So that is why I put this restaurant's type as New American because it is a melting pot of different cuisines. The next item I want to try is the Short Rib! I heard that one is delicious. Since this restaurant just had its grand opening recently -- not a lot of people know of it's existence. I have been there twice so far on weekday nights for dinner. It isn't busy and the service is good for the intimate setting that it is. Someone is always there to clear plates and refill your beverage.

Decent French-American cuisine, very nice elegant ambiance, friendly service and owner. Dishes weren't amazing but not bad either. Enjoyed everything we ate. Street parking available. Outdoor/exterior could use more lighting.

Reservations are not required. They welcome walk-ins. This is a small place, but there's plenty of seats. We parked right upfront. The food was delicious and they definitely give big portions. We liked all of our dishes and already looking forward to coming back and trying other items. Service was great!

I'm not big on going out on Valentine's Day because of the crowds and especially 2025 it fell on a Friday I was really not trying to stress on finding a great place to eat. But earlier in the week I found one of my favorite restaurants from back in the day opened back up in Bellflower (originally in Cerritos) and they had openings at a decent time that fit my schedule. Definitely a hidden gem for Bellflower and I'm sure it's going to be a hot spot soon enough. Service was great from the moment I walked in from Bojana I believe was her name. They had a Valentine's Day menu that came with wine pairings so we opted for that and added a rack of lamb. We also got a complimentary ceviche mini tostada to start the night. Every bite of food was devoured. My steak was cooked to perfection, the sashimi was fresh and had sized cuts, and the rack of lamb was excellent. The seafood platter of lobster, scallops, and prawns was also utterly delicious. To finish we had chocolate crème brûlée and whoa! It was so good I wanted to another one lol. Everything was set in a nice moody atmosphere that just made everything right for a Friday night dinner.

This restaurant is a gem. Great variety of selections. We tried several items: diver scallops, clams & mussels, jumbo prawns, lobster ravioli, lamb lollipops, French onion soup, and lobster & prawn bisque, all delicious and flavorful. Good customer service attentive and friendly. Nice ambience you can come here for friends dinner or a have a lovey date. We visited on Valentine's Day, it was a great option, we were seated right away. Would recommend this place.

We have been patrons of Arte Cafe for several years. The restaurant had to change locations from Cerritos to Bellflower due to lease renewal issues. We were devastated that the restaurant had closed. Voilà, a couple of years later, Richard (the owner) reaches out to us and announces a new location to revive Arte Cafe. Since we learned about the reopening in December 2024, we've visited at least six times. The restaurant isn't conveniently located for us (about 25 miles from our respective homes), so our dedication to frequent this establishment reflects our opinions of the quality, value, and unique menu offerings. Now, to the point of this review. On Thursday, March 21st, we attended our 3rd specialty prix fixe, wine pairing meals, featuring a truly inspired menu accompanied by five different wine pairings from Neyers Vineyard. Compared to prices at restaurants for less inspired menus and meals (Flemings immediately comes to mind, with prices closer to $135 - $150), the $95 we paid was more than fair and, in reality, quite reasonable. The food was spectacular. It was a bunch of combined flavors that were new to me and worked really well. The Uni bisque with a Tempura Oyster was out of this world delicious. The seared bluefin was quite generous and cooked to perfection (I had to remove the cilantro and give it to my lovely better half, as I have an allergy to it). The salad featured nectarines and plums with soft cheese and something that resembled caviar, but it was actually avocado-black sesame Himitsu--a truly exceptional flavor combination with a black lumpfish caviar consistency, creating a unique and delightful blend of flavors. The oxtail and gnocchi had a slightly corned beef-like flavor (I had never had oxtail before), and the gnocchi were perfectly doughy pillows of pasta. The wines were excellent, although I wasn't familiar with Neyers Winery, which is owned by the Trinchero Family and known for more than 60 award-winning brands, including their Sutter Home white Zinfandel, which is what made them famous. For the most part, they were reasonably priced. The Trinchero Family owns Menage a Trois, Sutter Home, Joel Gott, and several other brands with which I'm not familiar. The first chardonnay was more of a French-style chablis. The representative stated that it was due to aging in 304 stainless steel barrels. There was a smooth, more fruit-forward character, slightly acidic, with no hint of the oak that you would typically expect in a chard. It was pretty tasty and crisp. The Carneros Chardonnay was more typical, with an oaky profile that was quite good, albeit not particularly noteworthy. The Sage Canyon red blend was good but not spectacular. It's too dry for my liking. The Left Bank red was better. It was smooth and almost creamy. It's not an outstanding or fabulous wine, but it's very good, comparable to a Trefethen or even Far Niente. The price was reasonably set at $40 (BevMo's price was $59), so we purchased six bottles. We plan to have a bottle (or two) at my sister's house this weekend when we have a leg of lamb for dinner. Overall, this is a fabulous place for dinner (once you get past the "on the boulevard location, with little parking, which is just a little offputting.") The venue isn't too large; it can comfortably accommodate around 60 people (the stated capacity is 95, but that would be pushing it). The ambiance is cozy and cultured, with a touch of quality, featuring real linen, fine wine glasses (Riedel and others), and high-quality flatware (I get the feeling that the owner isn't quite finished with the decoration or furnishing yet). The wait staff are second to none. The service is impeccable, and the lead maître d', concierge, and head waiter, Jonathan, are great! Richard, the owner, is friendly and approachable and will gladly spend a few minutes with you. It almost has an overall family feel. If you're looking for uniquely curated, impeccably prepared, and delicious Asian/French/American fusion cuisine at a fair price, Arte Cafe should be high on your list of must-try destinations.

Appearance of outside frontage looks abandoned. Not welcoming at all by owner. Very minimal service and menu. We will not be going back.

Just making my timely updated review. The lights were still dimmed, which brought a great ambiance…read moreto the dinner experience. It was very relaxed and just had chill vibes. The evening started off strong, as we stopped by during Hoppy Hour (around 9ish). There wasn't a wait, and it wasn't too busy, so we were seated right away. The front staff was nice and polite. She gave us the option of either a tall round table or a shorter rectangular table. We of course, opted for the slightly shorter (height-wise) rectangular table. Once we were seated, we were given the menu, and the waitress told us that we would be right with us. She stopped by to ask about drinks, and we opted for water. She dropped off water and came back with perfect timing because by then we were ready to order. I also love the simplicity of the menu. There really aren't too many options where you feel overwhelmed, but there are still enough choices to pick from. Shout out to the pastrami quesadilla, I didn't realize it had been swapped for a new menu item until I asked about it this time around, but I'll be waiting for its comeback! We ordered a few items: the mac and cheese balls, the Wagyu bone marrow burger with truffle fries, and a double smash burger with ribbed finger potatoes. We had to get the mac and cheese balls since it was Hoppy Hour! I also didn't realize that on Wednesdays, the double smash burgers are half off. I'll definitely remember that for next time. After we ordered, the food came out quicker than I expected. It was a nice surprise. I think the first item came out about 10 minutes after our initial order. The mac and cheese balls came out hot, which was great. The breading made them super crispy and gave a nice crunch that balanced really well with the softer, chewier mac and cheese inside. I was glad the inside wasn't too runny since that would have made it like lava! I didn't see a cheese pull this time, but next time I'll try again to see if I can catch one. It was a great start to the meal. The burgers came out shortly after we finished the mac and cheese balls. I totally forgot that the truffle fries came with sauce. I should have asked for the sauce on the side, but it wasn't a problem that it was added on top of the fries. It just made them get soggy a bit faster, but that's no problem; it just means I've got to work faster! The burger was good and came out super juicy. I asked for it medium, and it looked about medium, so no complaints here! I never realized before, but the bread was so fluffy... it was a super pillowy bun with a nice bounce to it. It definitely helped balance out the meatiness of the patty. The hint of tomato gave it a nice, refreshing bite and really helped cut through the richness of the meat. The onions also added a nice sweetness to the burger, which was appreciated. I also snuck a bite of the ribbed potatoes, and they were good as well. They were a bit crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, with just a touch of saltiness. I also stole a pickle from the double smash and realized I probably should have asked for pickles on my burger, but I'll remember that for my next visit!

Tried out the umami burger, with mushrooms and pickled onions, it was pretty solid! Unfortunately,…read morethe Fresno fig came out cold and the fries were overcooked/too hard. Pure scam. I called and spoke with the manager, Grant, who clearly thought the situation was funny. He told me the ahi tuna is "prepackaged at around 2 oz." So I decided to put everything on a scale myself... and it wasn't even 2 oz. It came out to about 1.5 oz. I'm absolutely livid because I've ordered this exact dish several times while dining in, and it looked NOTHING like this. Apparently because I ordered takeout, someone thought it was acceptable to cut corners and short a customer. For over $20, this portion is embarrassing. Cheesecake Factory should absolutely be ashamed.
