Keep in mind - it took 45 minutes to get out to go order. But the portions are great and the food was good! We will be back for a boozy brunch next year, we will just remember it takes a while for the food to come out. read more

Love this place! Everything from coffee, to food and cocktails was delicious and the staff was awesome! We were in Steamboat for the week & I think we ate there every day. I would highly recommended this place and hope to go there again when we return to Steamboat. They are located at the base of the mountain so the view is great. This is just an awesome little place! We were staying at the Sheraton so we wandered over one morning for breakfast. The French toast was absolutely delicious. We're Steamboat locals and pride ourselves on being a family friendly town. Paramount is the exception to that rule. We recently took our boys and dog up to the base on a lovely, warm day. We had forgotten to bring water and my young boys (8 and 10) decided to go into Paramount to ask for a cup of water. They got denied!!! They were told they would need to buy something in order to get water. Bullsh*t!!! I don't care how good their food is, I'm saddened to say we will NEVER set foot in that establishment again. read more

Enjoyed this place the first time we went. The second time not very impressed. Ordered the GF Avocado Toast and was totally disappointed. The toast was overcooked and there was nothing else on the toast except smashed avocado. No spice or egg. Perhaps some flavor...greens, pickled onions, or tomatoes. That might justify the price. Also ordered the the CHILAQUILES which was as about impressive as the Avocado Toast. Chips, a little cheese and fried eggs. Definitely don't recommend theses items on the menu read more

The Paramount was pretty good for lunch. Some sandwiches are served on wooden cutting boards, which is cool yet silly because they take up so much space! My group of 8 was constantly watching our elbows so that we wouldn't flip our friends' "plate" when maneuvering around. They have lots of options, which is why it worked so well with a large group, but The Paramount wasn't our first choice for lunch. We only settled on it because other places in the immediate area were not open until Labor Day. All in all, it was just okay but I'm not rushing to go there next time in I visit Steamboat. read more

Delicious sandwiches, soups and other sides. Offer breakfast and lunch. Just off the mountain close to Slopeside with a nice outdoor patio. Order at the counter inside and they bring the food out to you. The chicken club sandwich was huge (big enough for two). The hand cut fries were fresh, salted and came with three dipping sauces. Let me tell ya- this place is amazing! While visiting steamboat, I returned 3 times in 24 hours (breakfast, lunch, breakfast again!). Each time, I tried something different, and each time I left gushing over how great it was. "S*$t on a shingle" had hands down one of the best homemade corn beef hashes within it. The biscuit and gravy was hearty & flavorful (I recommend throwing an egg on top). The cornbread is unreal & a MUST!! For lunch, the salads were fresh, filling, and flavorful (steak salad was my fave). And the bloody mary's were so good, with a spicy kick at the end! This is by far the best place to eat at the base of the mountain. The food is absolutely delicious, and the customer service is usually great. The owner has my utmost respect. However, we are giving 3 stars because Sean, the employee with salt and pepper hair and glasses, cannot make a decent drink for his life. He consistently makes cappuccinos that are so bad we stop drinking them after a few sips. This is a PERFECT restaurant apart from this one guy's drinks -- get him some training!! read more

I'm a Steamboat local & everytime I come in this place, the food is great but the employees can't even act like they want to do their job. Super impolite, everytime it feels like i'm getting rushed to order. Not only that, there's some kids working the kitchen playing rap with disgusting profanity on max volume. We went in for breakfast and the food was great! If it were just based on food it would be 5 stars. However, we saw employees without masks and the guy taking orders had his mask down around his chin and was also the one bringing out our food so breathing right on it. Yikes. I'm impressed. Looking for a simple lunch, this restaurant totally exceeded my expectations. We had outdoor seating with a very efficient heating system. Very nice to enjoy on a sunny early March afternoon. The inside seating looked welcoming. The staff was more than pleasant & welcoming. It started with a man cleaning tables outside assisting w/ direction for us, then the friendly man that took our order & more than went out of his way to accommodate my drink order and absolutely everyone else there! Each staff member that we came in contact said hello & asked if everything was ok. Then, the sandwiches! Totally exceeded my expectations!! Larger than expected and the flavors were delightful! Hello Steamboat Springs, and what a welcoming breakfast we had at the Paramount. We went back again and again for breakfast and lunch throughout the long weekend. Recommendations: The breakfast sandwich with sausage is exceptional. This ain't your grocery store sausage! The egg BLT: roasted tomatoes and homemade bacon. The fruit and granola: they make their own granola nestled in milk and top it with fresh fruit. Wasn't crazy about the coffee but the food and service were dazzling! read more

Paramount isn't large inside, but the food was excellent, and we found the service to be perfectly fine. We were looking for a quick-ish lunch (30-45 minutes) on a Friday that was DUMPING outside, and while they were busy, nobody seemed to be waiting for a table. The draft beer selections were limited, but good (Newcastle and Stella), and they had a couple other options in bottles or cans. We all went with sandwiches (one of the group was looking for soup, but they had just run out of the type she wanted), and everyone ended up polishing theirs off. The sandwiches were all good sized, and the breads were all great. My Cuban Reuben (pulled corned beef, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, garlic mayo and dijon mustard) was fantastic. The pulled corned beef was tender but not mushy, and the combination with the ham and pickles was excellent. My buddy's cheesesteak was tasty, but because it was served on (delicious and thick) sliced bread rather than a hoagie roll, it was a bit messy to eat. Overall a nice place to grab a sandwich in the base area; I'll definitely eat here again. read more

GREAT lunch spot to grab a break while having a fun day on the mountain. Having been here on numerous occasions, at different times of the day, and at different points in the year i have never walked away disappointed from this place. I have tried nearly everything on the menu, with the exception of any shell fish dish which my wife fully approves of, and have been quite impressed with each one. A couple of my favorites are the steak sandwich with Horseradish sauce, the chicken tortilla soup, and the cornbread for an appetizer (which used to be jalapeño cornbread but I am assuming it just didn't appeal to everyone). The seating inside is a bit tight quartered but the staff does a great job of working hard to get the tables cleaned and ready so that they quickly turn over. There is also heated seating outside of you don't mind that. Give it a try. Sure you'll enjoy. read more

Delicious made to order food right on the slopes. Especially great when the weather is nice and you can dine on their outdoor patio. I'd recommend this to anyone staying in Steamboat. Walking distance from anywhere at the base of the mountain, with great views of the slopes. read more

I had walked past this place a few times without noticing it. Then when Slopeside had a really long wait, we decided to go here and I'm so glad we did! The people working here are way nicer than the (often rude) staff at Slopeside. This is the type of place where you go up to the counter to order and pay for your food, then they take it to your table according to your number. There's a decent amount of seating inside, considering how small this place is, but it looks like the seating is mostly outside. That may be why they don't do dinner, but it's great for breakfast, lunch, or apres ski. They had heaters outside, but we didn't need them since it was a sunny day. The standout here is the bread. It's like a giant piece of thick-cut toast with the perfect buttery crispy outside. Even the philly cheesesteak had this beautiful toast-bread instead of the regular baguette-style bread for a cheesesteak. Even the grilled cheese is amazing. My brother really liked the ruben, and my mom and sister enjoyed their sandwiches. The presentation is cool, because the sandwiches all come out on a little handheld cutting board thing. Fries are good too, they're thick cut and seasoned. Perfect for when you're hungry right off the mountain. They also have a decent selection of warm drinks, including a chai latte. I hope this place stays in business so we can come back next year. read more

My daughter and son-in-laws favorite place to eat when visiting Steamboat is now our favorite place as well! Ate here many times during our 2 week stay and every single thing we got was delicious! The grilled cheese with a cup of tomato basil soup hit the spot for us chilled Florida folk! And the hot chocolate was worth every calorie:) read more
