Beware, beware! Depends on the vet you get. We've had some great vets for some of our other visits, but the one we had last (Dr. Jose Lopez) misdiagnosed our dog and then recommended we euthanize him if we weren't going to take his neurology specialist referral that he estimated came with a $10k price tag. ($10k seems to be the magic number with these people. That was a previous estimate for a surgery for another dog we brought in, too. That price appears regularly in these reviews. I'm not sure if that's a price they use to try to deter people from getting their pets help, or what, but they love to quote that.) We were told they would hospitalize our dog until we could get him to a neurologist the next day, but someone who called herself our "advocate" said we couldn't stay with him. (That made me extremely uncomfortable since we were told at another visit with another of our dogs that we could stay as long as we wanted with that one.) Nothing seemed right about this. All the transparency of the glass rooms is lost when we never once saw the vet interact with our dog at all and we would have to leave him there alone. I don't even know if this vet examined our dog, honestly. If he did, he did it poorly or he did it after the opioid shot was administered, because he got it all wrong. He claimed our dog was "not aware" of his back legs and had no sensation. He claimed he couldn't walk again. (See video of our dog walking outside after a couple of weeks of crate rest and muscle relaxers.) His other "diagnoses" were completely untrue, as well... Namely, the parts that would have called for urgent euthanasia (i.e., when he said he couldn't urinate or defecate on his own)! I have no idea what tests were supposedly performed to validate any of this, but they certainly weren't accurate. (He also noted in the records we ordered that our dog had no heart murmur. False. It's grade 3.) We were told if we didn't like that we couldn't stay with our dog, we could always take him to another ER for a second opinion. Our "advocate" even recommended which ER we use, which turned out to be a great recommendation! This was the only valuable service provided for our $600+. So, we transferred our dog to the other ER that day and that vet was great. We followed up with our regular vet who gave us a treatment plan and a more positive outlook. With 2 weeks of cold laser therapy and crate rest, our dog was walking on his own again. And, by the way, he never had an issue urinating or defecating on his own. If you feel like you don't trust a diagnosis, get a second opinion. I'm so grateful we did. read more

I knew going in that there would be a wait as it was an emergency walk-in no appointment, but not absolutely dire, but they did check in on us in the meantime and made sure we knew if anything worsened to let them know. Every step was explained and price run by us before they followed through. The cost was more than reasonable for an emergency. All the staff from desk to tech to vet had fantastic bedside manners and were very sensitive to the fact that we were worried about our baby. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE! Even if it's an emergency!! If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely worst communication from any business ever! They are extremely expensive! The wait time is ridiculously long! And they have no sense of urgency! I waited 2 1/2 hours before they told me it'd be a drop off for my dog to get stitches. I was told I'd be called by the vet after the procedure and I was not, I had to call. Then the vet told me it was much worse than he anticipated (due to the fact that he didn't even look or examine the dog once!) and that they had to put a drain in and there is a extra charge to remove it! Oh And then when I called the following day with a question of why there is cloudy discharge coming out of my dogs ear and if they cleaned it at all, they proceeded to tell me it might require multiple surgeries which is not what anyone told me or what the paper work says! Although excellant for emergency care, I rate the follow up care fragmented with poor continuity . My dog required a biopsy to confirm Cancer diagnosis while being boarded . On picking her up, I received no instructions for care of the operative site .I called following week as it appeared she had stiches still in , after strongly suggesting to person answering phone to please review vet note, was determined my dog should have returned for stitch removal several days before,apology was offered by Parc staff-vet did not see my dog , stitches removed by vet tech . I requested refils for pain medication and steroids , my spouse had to pick up the meds , but refil was one not requested , was an anxiety med. I called to review with Parc , they were glad to refil correct med, but will have to be paid for -they would not exchange or refund the incorrect med once it had been picked up . At this point , have spent approx 2400 at the Parc. This is such a sad and devastating diagnosis , I feel the Parc has left myself and family feeling very unsupported . read more

I brought my dog in for the first time when she was having an allergic reaction to a shot she had been given (without my knowledge--looking @ you, Petsmart Banfield) and we were seen immediately. The facility itself is beautiful and clean, but what really made our experience was our vet tech Abby. She brought such a calming energy and fully explained what they were going to do and afterwards, how it went. She was so gentle with my dog and was transparent with everything, from the care my dog would be receiving to the pricing. Staff showed no compassion after losing a pet here recently. A voicemail left about some money settlement started off with hearing this person laughing - an apparent joke from a co-worker and then no "I'm sorries for your loss ". When they tell you at the start of a treatment that an MRI will be ultimately needed to figure out what is going on, they don't tell they don't have an MRI machine. So days and thousand of dollars later you are sent way up to north Dallas where they do MRI's because "that's the closest place". Right, I suspect they got referral money for that. I googled and there are places near Fort Worth that do this. Please stay away. Find someplace with truth up front and compassion. read more

I quickly found the information for the closest clinic and called PARC Veterinary clinic to make sure they were open. The recording said they were open, but with C19 issues it might take longer to be seen. After getting him to the car, I drove the 20-minutes to the facility. There was a note on the door indicating they were closed due to an emergency. The recording made no such claim. I was crying, having difficulty handling him, and the lady at the desk clearly saw me. She refused to come to the door. I needed information regarding the next closest- open- emergency vet. It seemed like basic and critical information. But, she continually refused to respond. I get back in my car, he's worse, and I'm crying trying to look up the next closest vet on my phone. I find one open in Keller. I drive from PARC and get there. My dog is dead. I raised him from birth and absolutely adored this loving creature. I'll never know if he could have been saved with timely treatment. read more

One of those services requiring a bandage around a paw and then when that bandgae comes off around 24hrs later, you drive to the Parc, wait 30min for them to tell you that you have to pay a "Recheck & Bandage" fee for a total of $100... talk about a greedy establishment. I tried to reason and plee for a free bandage since it had been such an incredbily short time to no avail. I just visited the PARC for the first time and I will not be back. I was charged $7 for a biohazard fee, I'm assuming because my dog peed since he was nervous in the room even though I did my diligence and took him potty beforehand. I was charged a $10 clinical support fee - probably because they had three people try to help express his glands, even though they told me they couldn't do it (he wasn't aggressive just moving because he was nervous, I was watching the whole time) and then they charged me a whopping $82 for an anal gland expression. My old vet charged me $35 and most every other vet clinic I've been to charges $30-$40 for this service. The wellness exam was $88 which I had asked and was prepared for, but the service was not up to par. The vet tech was not friendly, not welcoming, they didn't help with my dog getting on the scale, didn't have any treats, didn't make either me or my dog feel comfortable. They couldn't express his glands until I helped, which is also weird because he gets his glands expressed regularly at his old vet in Idaho and at the groomers, AND at his daycare no problem. They have always said it's easy to do, and he's in and out in 10 minutes. I just got suckered into a $170 bill for the worst vet service I've ever had and having to help with the service plus being charged a "clinical support" fee. I read some mixed reviews on this place but figured it may just be because it's a vet hospital and I know bad stuff happens sometimes out of their control... that being said, my next clue was that when I was checking my dog in a lady before me said she was going to reschedule because she wasn't going to wait 30 minutes for a 2:30 appointment, so then I wondered, are they not going to keep my appointment time? They were on time for my dog, but the friendliness was not there at all. The vet tech seemed like she hated her job and didn't seem to care about my dog at all. If I could get a refund after how bad this was, I would. The PARC really is not up to snuff. I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere. I know I will be. read more

Brought my cat Peeka Boo in to the ER and they saw her right away and after going over pricing for testing and diagnostics they got to work. After being there about an hour waiting on labs they recommended an overnight stay for IV fluids and an ultra sound the next day. I never felt "upsold" on services or pressured into unnecessary procedures. They explained all their findings and answered all my questions. After everything it was determined she was declining so we had to make the decision to end her suffering. All the staff from the front desk to the vet techs to the veterinarians were professional and kind. They checked me out in the room which was probably best considering my emotional state. They gave us time with her before and did not rush us. They allowed me to hold her as she left this world. I had to take my dog Claude to an emergency vet Friday morning (8/9/19) Claude had been acting weird for a day or two prior. Kept eating grass and spitting it up. Very lethargic, hardly ate anything on Wednesday, and ate nothing on Thursday. Seriously, he turned down all treats and special food. Friday I awoke to blood like jam on my living room rug. That's how I knew it was time for the doggie ER. I searched places near me and found The PARC (People. Animals. Revolutionary Care.) This place is amazing. They offered to hold Claude while I filled out paperwork and I saw a vet very quickly. Claude, of course, was very cheerful to see people. The vet tech and a vet doted on Claude nonstop. My tears stopped pretty quickly because I knew they would do everything possible to save my buddy. After some blood work, he was diagnosed with Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE). I was told that I came at the right time; that if I waited longer it would of turned fatal. Informed that he had to stay overnight, they let me take him to the ICU kennel he was to be kept in. I asked for more blankets so he could pile/dig at them and be cozy. They gave me three more. :) Most all of the inner walls at The PARC are glass. It made me feel like they have nothing to hide. Staff repeatedly told me that I could call at anytime for an update and that the vet would call me at shift change. I called about six times and the vet techs gave me detailed updates and told me how much everyone was loving him and how cute he is. As a dog momma, that is the best. Vet called the next morning and said he had "An amazing turnaround" and was ready to go home. I was given four different medications along with special dog food. The vet made sure I understood all the instructions and answered all of my questions. Amazing place, one billion stars. Claude is doing great! Although she couldn't be saved due to a neck fracture that wasn't treatable they did everything in their power to help me keep her comfortable and pain free as much as possible. The staff was professional and helpful in a very tense and emotional situation. It was a rough weekend being there and they do tend charge quite a bit of money but I don't think it was overpriced for everything that they did for my dog. It's a great vet hospital for emergencies. My husband took our elderly beloved dog in because she fell in the pool for about 3 minutes and aspirated pool water. She was in very bad shape, listless and shallow, rapid breathing. They put her in "ICU" and told my husband that would be about $3000. He got her there about 5pm. The only thing they did was monitor vital signs. My husband is not medical and I could not be there because I had to go to work. But I called and found out they were doing absolutely nothing for her. I suggested all the things we might do for a human for aspiration: Antibiotic to prevent Pneumonia; steroid to reduce inflammation and Respiratory Distress Syndrome; Sodium Bicarb to combat Respiratory Acidosis; etc etc. The staff and Vet were absolutely horrible to me. I was demanding because it was such an emergency. When I first called the staff told me I could not speak to the Vet because she was handling a true emergency. I insisted on holding and waited 30 minutes for her. She said we don't treat Dogs like humans and absolutely refused to try any measures I suggested. I asked how could any of those things hurt her??? she said, if you don't like the care we are providing, you can come up her and get your dog and take her elsewhere. After 3 phone calls and begging, they drew labs 3 HOURS AFTER SHE ARRIVED. THEN DID NOTHING EXCEPT BICARB! SHE WAS DEAD ABOUT AN HOUR LATER. MY HUSBAND IS SUCH A NICE MAN, HE PAID THEM WHAT THEY DEMANDED, WHICH I THINK WAS A LITTLE UNDER $3000. BOTH VETS I SPOKE WITH WERE INCREDIBLY CONDESCENDING AND UGLY TO ME. THEY SHOULD EXPECT THAT CUSTOMERS WILL BE VERY UPSET IN SUCH A TERRIBLE SITUATION AND SHOULD TRY ANYTHING THAT WOULDN'T HURT TO TRY TO SAVE A LIFE, INSTEAD OF JUST "ADMITTING THEM TO ICU" AND JUST WATCHING THEM DIE! read more

First time visit, we took my dog Rusty in for some swelling he had in his face. Very kind staff. Overall just had a good experience with making sure we had taken him to the right place. Dr. Rob throughly explained to us what the problem was and got him all situated. Pricing was reasonable. We actually got to sit in while he was examining Rusty which I really appreciated! Dr. Henderson is the best! I brought my puppy in the middle of the night for an emergency. He told me my options, what he thought the problem was, and what he recommended. He was very honest. He made us laugh and help with the stress and anxiety of the situation. He came in and talked to me as many times as I needed and was caring and had no attitude. He answered any and all questions I had even the stupid ones. He told me how to take care of her when I got home and what I needed and when I needed to do everything. He gave her an IV and blanket and sent her on her way home! He taught me stuff about dogs I didn't even know yet and how to check stuff. I'm so grateful we got him as our puppy's doctor. Great Veterinarian ER!!! Last night I brought my wiener dog in after he jumped off our couch and dislocated his shoulder. The receptionist was very nice and informative. We were taken back to a room within five minutes. The Veterinarian came into the room to speak with us promptly. She stated that his muscles most likely put his shoulder back into place. She stated that he had great range of motion while performing the exam directly in front of me. She stated that we could do a X-Ray to rule out any fractures. I discussed that I didn't have a whole lot of money and if it was absolutely necessary. She stated that she would give him some anti inflammatories and if he wasn't getting any better to bring him back in and they would do the X-Ray! This Vet was very transparent about pricing a on their website and in person. They worked with me on what was the most important for my pet on a budget. I definitely would come back here. My dog is also perfectly back to normal after a few doses of medication!!! read more

Dr. Tennis is fantastic, the ER staff is not! Dr. Tennis and her nurse made me feel so at ease after the ER staff told me my cat (who ate a large amount of hair ties and puked them up) was going to need surgery and overcharged me for X-Rays (before they even did them) and made me feel like I was an idiot and bad cat mom for asking questions about price and overall what was going on and allowing this to happen. My cat has been hoarding leftover hair ties she finds, I found a stash under my bed I didn't even know about! Dr. Lopez and Katelyn M. his nurse said they "had never seen anything like it" when X-raying my cats stomach, and Dr. Tennis told me it's gas (and a hair tie) and she's going to be just fine after an enema and some pooping! I sent the X-rays to a vet my family trusts, and they told me the same thing. After being condescended and talked down to by someone who clearly didn't know much, it was nice to feel comforted and welcomed by the day staff at this place. My questions were encouraged and my kitty felt welcome. Be wary of who you take your pets to, I have a feeling the bad reviews also had Dr. Lopez! read more
