My cat had not eaten or drunk for 2 days. Nothing was done for that. She died of dehydration.

This was the most wonderful place that I could have found for my dog to go to whenever he had his second seizure ever. They were speedy but efficient, diligent but caring, and they took better care of my dog than I could've imagined coming from a pet ER at 11 PM on a Friday night. From the very beginning, they wowed me. I called right after my dog recovered from his seizure- I dialed their number, it rang (maybe) 1 second, and someone was already picking up the phone, ready to hear what I was calling about. They informed me that I WOULD be allowed to come inside with my dog (wearing a mask), which was a huge change between the normal vet I called earlier in the day, who stated I would have to wait out in the car while he was being examined after a seizure. I don't know about anyone else, but I was hit with a (much needed) wave of relief whenever they told me I could come into the building with my dog... who just had 2 seizures for the first time in his life, who probably had no inclination as to what was happening to him after he just endured some strange, unconscious experience, whose mom seemed to be terrified and distraught over... Conclusion: Before I even entered the building, I was so grateful for the staff at THE PARC and their compassion for our situation. It was only 8 minutes down the road from my apartment, it was very easy to find, and it was almost effortless to get inside and get my dog checked in/ready to see a doctor. I didn't realize that THE PARC provided other services outside of the animal hospital, but they do! They are a fully functioning veterinary office, an impeccably-run animal hospital/ER, a boarding place, and a grooming place. The vet tech was so nice, and very comforting, as she got us settled into a room and obtained the HPI. She, and the vet tech who assisted her, were gentle while measuring my dogs temp, drawing his blood, and throughout every other test they performed on him. The doctor was very nice too!! He was extremely apologetic for us having to wait longer than usual because he got pulled into an emergency surgery, when he didn't have to be sorry. I completely understood. He read through the labs with me, comforted my dog when the opportunity presented itself, was gentle with my dog as he palpated his lymph nodes, gums, etc. Even though I'm a pre-med graduate student and recognized all of the test results, he made sure that the information was fully absorbed and that I understood everything- which, in retrospect, I am much more thankful for, as it was a traumatic night for me. I had my mom (a pharm) on FaceTime and as he was giving his spiel on anti-convulsants/ his reasoning behind which drug and why, he made sure to speak directly to my mom as well, so that she could be a part of the conversation on medication. He talked me through my dog's prescription and dosage. He explained that seizures are relatively normal, and that it isn't rare for him to see an Aussie with a seizure- that he see's at least one Aussie in the ER every other night, if not once a night. We made a temporary treatment plan and will 100% be returning to THE PARC for my dog to be seen by the amazing doctors, vet techs, practitioners, and every other employee at THE PARC, in two weeks! The fact that I was able to come in with my dog during such a serious situation, that THE PARC is always staffed and open 24/7, as well as being staffed by DVM's and vet techs who listen to the owners concerns and establish a game plan together, are the most significant reasons that I love THE PARC and we will be returning for my dog's every need in the future!! read more

This place has amazing vet techs and amazing front office workers. The vets themselves have bad bed side manner and do not spend enough time one on one. We brought in a puppy who while in the care of a trainer was neglected for weeks. He was fed less than half of what he is supposed to get. He had a shoulder injury that caused him to put all weight on one foot causing toe splay. The vet tech was immediately concerned when he was triaged and mentioned his weight. The vet tech in the room heard him cry when she touched his shoulder. The vet himself said that it didn't seem like a big deal even though if he laid on the shoulder he could not get up. He said the the toe splay was due to genetics most likely. Neither of his parents have this(they were tested) and his earlier examinations showed he had good joints. The x rays showed no damage anywhere or genetic defects. This means it was environmentally caused. Like malnutrition. I asked about that he just said that was one of many possibilities. Which is a fine answer if he wasn't severely underweight. Making malnutrition the obvious answer. He dodged around and gave us a pamphlet for physical therapy. When he left we asked for his notes from the vet tech and we saw that everything looked pretty copy and paste. He even put good body condition.(you can feel hips bones without pressing down and all his ribs and vertebrae. He put good body condition while notating that he had muscle loss in the hurt shoulder. This was a lazy and uncaring vet. I have been here three times and remained unimpressed but this was blatantly apathetic care. I will not return. read more

Every time we come here for nail clipping we wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. It takes all of about 2 minutes yet for some reason they never just do it and get it over with. There is a big glass wall where you can watch a whole bunch of employees standing around in no hurry at all. This time I mentioned it to one of THREE girls at the desk and then - a few minutes later the groomer came out to let me know they had "a pet on the table" so things a were a little slow. They have an operating room, I don't doubt there was a pet "on the table" - and that the people in that room are very busy. But the people I can see arent operating on anything except their I-phones, so I'm gonna have to call BS on that :( Was she seriously implying that the lady who clips nails also does emergency surgeries? like barbers in the Wild West? Scheduled our pet for a ct scan to get more information on a tumor our primary vet was concerned about. A staff member texted us, (not even called) that they did not have the proper equipment to scan the area and to go elsewhere. We live far and were already on the way, super inconvenient. Would make sure the staff scheduling you ensures they are able to do what you have been referred for. read more

Thank you for taking great care of my Jasi. I highly recommend PARC! I am in from out of State and Jasi started acting very lathargic so I took her in and even tho it was a very long wait. (They did apologize) we quickly found toxins in her system from biting frogs of all things. They gave her IV and flushed out her system. Sent me home with meds and called next day to check on her. Bill was reasonable and they really were compassionate. I tell everyone how amazing they are. I highly recommend PARC. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. My year old dog, B, had to have abdominal surgery due to an obstruction in his intestine. I had gone to the PARC before and was pleased with the level of care B received. This time around, I experienced NO professionalism. A vet tech convinced us that a certain $ amount would cover the cost of care for surgery and advised us not to ask Care Credit for more than that amount. Throughout B's stay, we experienced poor communication from our vet in charge of his care. Instead of prepping him for surgery right away, they ended up "trying to flush the obstruction out" with IV fluids. Then, after they finally completed surgery, we did not receive word for an additional 6 hours that he was out of surgery. We were worried sick. Communication during his 48 hour stay was like this: I would call for an update and wouldn't get one, or I would be told they'd call me back after the techs had made their rounds... I never received a call back. Upon pick up, I was alerted to the fact that we owed $1700 MORE than our credit limit with care credit (even though we were advised that our original line of credit would be PLENTY to cover the cost). After explaining this discrepancy with the accounting department, they decided to take the word of their vet tech over ours, and claimed that "a lot of the extra cost is due to extra sedatives given to B because he was aggressive and unruly," so we will end up having to pay off that extra $1700. They took advantage of us as dog owners. As a cherry on top, our dog who used to LOVE going to the vet is now terrified to step foot in our regular vet's office. When I explained this situation to our regular vet, they were shocked that anyone would think of B as aggressive, because of how sweet and loving he has been for the last year and a half under their care. I would never recommend this emergency vet, and will certainly never return with my dogs. read more

They did not once come check on my cat during the waiting period and second guessed the severity of what was going on. All employees seemed to be more interested in gossiping and hanging out than actually taking care of the animals. We had to go for an emergency with our corgi - one thing I really appreciated is they took my little girl back while I was still filling out paperwork. I preface this by saying I hate leaving bad reviews but this might save someone's animal. I have brought other pets to this hospital and they didn't have completely terrible experiences so I thought t would be fine to bring my cat here who had a minor case of ringworm. I never believed in a million years my young cat who had case of ringworm would die from malpractice. 2+ months ago I took my cat here and was prescribed anti fungal medication, the vet said just buy it generic over the counter. We did that everyday for 4 weeks and it didn't get better so we returned and were met by a different vet. (I googled later that consumption of this topical cream can cause liver damage in cats). I told them my cat was having bouts of vomiting which wasn't normal I thought maybe she was licking the ointment and getting sick and I should try a different approach. They recommended 400 dollar bloodwork, antibiotics, and oral anti fungal medication. I told the vet I DID NOT feel comfortable giving my cat oral medication until I received blood work results to make sure she was in the right state to handle them. The vet ignored my concerns and pressured me into starting the 200 dollar oral medication and antibiotics immediately without knowing the results. A week into the medication my cat is vomiting after the pills, I call the vet and they say it's normal and nothing to worry about. Days after that the vet calls me and says she has blood work that suggests liver damage, to CONTINUE the medication and to come back in 4 weeks to recheck the liver. Today, 4 days before my appointment I had to rush to the vet because my cat was dying. I googled the ringworm medication and see it is absolutely not to be taken if liver damage is present!!!!! The new vet is shocked and nervously seeing if the medication was prescribed before the test results came (I think to avoid being at fault). I say to her, "hey the medication I think has damaged her liver further), and she responds with yes....(no apology). She then says well you can keep her at the hospital and try to save her but that will be thousands of dollars. I told her I cannot afford that and she and the assistant judge me like I'm the bad guy. I chose to put down my young healthy cat whose liver was damaged from 60 continuous days of medication. Do not be pressured by these people, you'll be sent to a dozen different vets who have little to no communication and will prescribe and test Willy nilly. Do not let these people bully you into thinking you're wrong about the cause of your pets illness. My cat went from simply scratching to dead in two months of going here. read more

I do not recommend this place. My dog got attacked by another dog. For ~$200 all they would do was give antibiotic shot. They did not clean the wound or offer any treatment other than a shot. I didn't know vet schools taught to send dogs home dirty and not cleaned up with no wound care. They ask how much you can spend then try to push their credit program to pay for the extra treatment that they offer. Then they charge $4 for a medical disposal fee and did not dispose anything. They are a focus factory rip off in nice shiny building. Go somewhere else. read more

So let's not even focus on the insane prices they charge(3 or 4 timers higher than normal). I took my dog in for small intestinal surgery to remove a blockage, they claim the only thing u can do is surgery (which is not true because an actual vet explained to me how u can give a strong laxative and flush the intestines).Then a week and a half after surgery I notice my dog is growing an infection that is growing a lump near the stitches and it was even leaking puss on the floor...I take him back to the Parc after telling them what I see and sending them pictures and all they give me is a 12 antibiotic pills and they tell me it's no big deal and that it'll go away on its own.a couple days later I take him back to the Parc because he's looking just as bad and they say he has another obstruction which will cost another insane price.so I take him to an country vet that works in all animals and they tell me they'll do it for a FRACTION of the Parcs price...the next day they call me when they open my dog up and they tell me 90 percent of his small intestines are black and dead and all tangled up and that their no possible humane way to keep him alive..the next day after I bury my angel I talk to that vet and he tells me it took many days for his intestines to turn the way it did and that the second obstruction wasn't the cause of this that he died to complications from the first surgery due to peritonitis (infection). He then tells me how whenever he does a surgery how he flushes the intestines with antibiotics before, during, and after the surgery and these other things the Parc never even mentions and I know they didn't do. having spent everything I had for nothing(around 10k)I go back to Parc to not start a fight but to just get some money back...after talking to of the "managers" he acknowledges he didn't die from the second obstruction (as science backs it) and that he died due to complications from the first surgery and that the Parc would refund us after they talk to the second vet to confirm this. Well as u can guess after I gave them the information they told us they would call them and it's been a week and they're ghosting us..this has been of the worse experiences of my life but to them they were probably jumping up and down when they thought I was Gona pay another 6k for another surgery..I bet if I did they would have have opened him up said theirs nothing they can do and still charge me the 6k...theirs no logical reason to use this place.they will simple charge u the MAXIMUM and do the MINIMUM...how could they not see with an infection as bad as it was that he needed to be reopened and checked. Very unprofessional front desk staff. I took my dog in last night to this ER for pets and there is one vet working. He was in surgery which I respect, but I do not respect that the two women who were working the front were dismissive and beyond unhelpful. Their attitudes were clear that they don't want to be there. My dog had rectal bleeding while we were waiting and I asked for help. The two girls stood up and literally did nothing but stare. I ended up calling the Fort Worth Emergency clinic on Bryant Irvin and they were much more helpful. My dog had Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome which could had led to severe dehydration and death. After waiting at The PARC for over an hour without anyone speaking to me or getting detailed information about my dog things could have progressed if I didn't read the room with these two and know better. I started to walk out and of course one of the girls had to have the last word and yelled out as I opened the door to "have a nice night." There is no way I would use this place. Customer service is terrible and the cost of vet ER visits deserve better service than this. Date of visit 6/14 at 10:30. Shift change was 11 and it was the two girls at the front that couldn't have been worse in helping out. The vets/owners need to know about this since staff represent them. You are your staff and you will lose revenue based on these very same people than run customers off. My dog could have died and there was zero urgency at this ER. Lastly, this is technically not an ER. An ER is manned with staff for emergency visits. This is a clinic that is open 24 hours at best. No stars if that was an option. Do better. read more

The only reason I'm leaving one star is because I could not leave ZERO. We adopted a cat from the human society and were referred to the PARC for free medical exam within the first 10 days, which we did when noticing the cat sneezing and lethargic. We were then charged for the visit. The explanation provided was it was an "emergency" and did not qualify for the free exam. What an absolute scam. A veterinarian using the human society to bait and switch. I hope this post prevents others from falling victim. Please find a good honest caring clinic. There are plenty great ones out there but the PARC IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Your animal and integrity deserve better. read more

Absolutely the worst vet experience. This vet does not care about animals at all. I witnessed a dog get hit by a car, brought her in. After waiting at least 20 mins in an emergency situation the first words out of the vets mouth were it will be $300 to X-ray her. Then something about $1200 if she has internal bleeding . They charged me $120 to say that. I understand they can't work for free but a dogs life was in danger and all he cared about was $. I explained she was not my dog, I am a bartender and saw the accident on my way home from work. By the way my face was bleeding badly because she bit me when I scooped her up. The vet suggested maybe it was my dog ( if she knew me she would not have bitten me) and I just wanted discounted service. Finally the very nice security guard told me to call animal and they would have a vet to treat her. So Fort Worth Animal Control came and got her, also very nice. Unfortunately she didn't make it. This was just one vet there maybe the others are great but if I was a part of this vet group I would want him out! It was around 4 AM on July 5 and I think he was the only vet on duty. By the way I'm writing this 5 months later because I just received an email that said time to bring "dog" in. You would think that if they didn't have a name on file they wouldn't send an email. read more

A somewhat frustrating trip to the vet. The open set up is aesthetically pleasing but if we can watch what you're doing then get off your ass and work. The doctor (white gym rat in his 40's) sat at a computer screen instead of assisting with our dog when the vet techs would bring her to him. After half an hour of watching them do nothing through the glass, i asked that the doctor be brought to me and at that point it seemed like they had more sense of urgency. If the place was busy i would have been more understanding, but there were two other patients in rooms and both of them were standing at the glass door staring at the staff like "when the hell are they going to let us out of here??" I'd definitely take the "in and out in 20 minutes" ad off their website if i were them. read more

Dr. McNair was so helpful and informative. I've never visited with a vet as kind and efficient as her, and I appreciated her detail-oriented work. She even identified a heart murmur which no vet had identified beforehand. Every staff member I met was incredibly kind, and they all worked to get my fur baby in quickly and make her feel comfortable. The open concept plan helped immensely with her anxiety, too. I've had a lot of experience with different veterinary clinics, and I have had the best experience by far here. read more

We went to the PARC when my 6 month old Frenchie's eye started watering a lot and clouding up. We didn't have an appt so we went for emergency care and ended up only having to wait like 45 mins which was great for emergency care! We ended up seeing Dr. Chong who is fantastic and super informative. Dr. Chong gave Bean a full once-over just to check for any other issues even though we were there for her eye. She ended up finding a small piece of grass in her ear and removed it. The whole staff just really cares and it shows! We will be back for regular vet appts for sure! read more

I came in this morning after what I thought was my dog having a seizure. They were quick to respond and immediately took her to the back. No questions asked. From the moment I walked in they treated me with dignity and respect even though I was in panic mode. I appreciate that more than anything! My dog is my everything. Every single person I had contact with was super nice and professional. This was not the case with another ER in Fort Worth I used to go to... The building is absolutely beautiful and clean. My small dog was attacked by a much larger dog and one eye was pulled almost out of it's socket. I felt guilty because it happened but I never felt like they were judging me as a bad dog mom. The vet was kind and he examined her and gave us our 2 options and the possible outcomes. They gave us privacy to talk about a decision. After the procedure was done it was pretty late and he offered to keep her overnight at no charge if I didn't want to get out that late. While she was there I got calls from the vet, not a tech. I appreciated that. When I picked her up a tech brought her meds and paperwork and went over everything before she brought me the dog. I wasn't having to struggle with an injured dog and understand what to do. A tech did call the following day to check on her and gave me the opportunity to ask any questions. I have taken my dog to the Parc twice now during the weekend for emergency care. Everyone is so friendly and I have followed up with my regular vet after and they have always agreed with whatever tests were done and the diagnosis. It is so convenient and I have never had to wait. Beautiful facility and you can see your pet at all times. It is also very convenient that they have all equipment and most specialist in house so in an emergency situation you can get an answer asap. honesty and efficiency read more

I could go on for many paragraphs but I will save the details but they screwed EVERYTHING up from bloodwork which was supposed to be done that they didn't, referred me to an orthopedic surgeon who in the last 4 months had operated on the WRONG LEG of TWO DOGS!!!! Couldn't even send proper records to new vet, never ever returned 5 yes five phone calls after my dog was sent home with a displaced hip. NEVER EVER EVER TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS PLACE. The prices are outrageous and before they even look at your pet they want to make sure you pay ahead. A one day hospital stay was 1600 plus another 900 for medication. After we picked up our pet. We asked how much to bored her a couple days. We got quoted 198.00 for 2 days. We went to make reservations the price went up to 600. I do believe she got good care. But they are definitely price gouging. So sad, the money is more important that the health of the pet. read more
