Terrible hotel! Our air conditioner was broken and the room temperature was like over 80 degrees. Felt like hell! It was so uncomfortable and we were sweating non-stop. The front desk staff wouldn't let us switch rooms. Instead, we were told to wait for one hour for the engineer to fix the AC system for the entire floor!?! Other hotel would just simply change the room right away. Why wait!?! After the fixing that night it was ok. It went broken again the following morning. Horrible! What made matters even worse, when checking out a hotel, another guest told us he switched rooms because the HVAC was broken. The room that he first got was our room! If the staff were professionals and honest that room should be on hold and they wouldn't have given us this very microwaved and oven-like room. Overall, super bad! read more

JetBlue canceled my flight and rebooked me the next day. There were exactly zero hotels with vacancies near JFK. I wanted to avoid the long can ride back and forth to Manhattan. So I googled boutique hotels and found this place in Flushing, about 10 miles from JFK- very close to Laguardia, actually, and right off the highway. I am pleasantly surprised. I am giving 4 stars because, for the price, this is a pleasant place. The woman at the front desk was kind- which soothed my nerves considering how the airline treated me. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. There are 6 pillows on my king bed and white sheets over a comforter- which is really actually fairly important to me. The bathroom is tiled and well designed. The bath products are herbal and smelled very nice. The windows go from floor to ceiling. They have 2 layers of blinds, which allowed me to screen some light and mask the view without making me feel like I am trapped in a box, a point about which I am sensitive. The view is of a tired neighborhood, but I did not have to go explore it because there was a truly tasty free breakfast featuring good coffee, hard boiled eggs that were still warm (as I like them) and Chinese dumplings. I also took a banana and a free newspaper to go. The only downside is that I cannot log in to the Internet to work. Wifi is free, and my phone connected easily- but the work computer and iPad reject the connection. Could be security issues. However much I should be working, I am comfortable enough that I just may chill for an hour before I head to the airport. My experience here was far better than I expected. And I paid $180 for the room- so that was pretty amazing for NYC. If I got stuck here again, I'd come back. read more

I stayed one night at The Parc Hotel, 11/2/2016. Upon arrival, staff was pleasant and the room appeared clean. However, the next morning I woke up with two bites on my arms that were itching. My boyfriend looked through the sheets and comforter and found a bug which appeared to be a bed bug. We contained the bug using the cup from the bathroom. At this point, I was very upset and went to the front desk to check out. The front desk staff was very empathetic and understanding and immediately asked for me to fill out an incident report. She asked me to follow up with management later in the day. After speaking with management over the next few days, they claimed to have had professionals check the room and determined that it was not infested with bed bugs. They also asked for pictures of the bites on my arm, which became swollen as I had an allergic reaction. I had to go to a doctor who prescribed me an antibiotic and a cream. Hotel management again claimed that a "professional reviewed and said the bites are 100% not bed bug bites." However, a simple google search would show that individuals can respond differently to bites and the bug we caught looked exactly like bed bug pictures online. Response from management was very disappointing. I was definitely bitten by a bug found in the hotel as I didn't have the bites the day before. I travel often and have never had this experience before in any hotel. I reserved a room at this location based on the number of positive reviews and expected a different response to this incident from management. I am seriously unimpressed. Were the previous reviewers friends of the owner? There is no parking for guests. When I called, they told me to look for street parking. Wow, really? So, we park FAR away, and walk through the rain with all of our heavy bags. The front desk service was ok. The elevator is slooooow - take the stairs - we learned that the very first time we rode the elevator. We finally walk into our room - ok, everyone, do NOT be fooled by the pictures on the website. Our room is the size of my closet at home. We have a view of nothing - there is a locked window that goes out to a rooftop, but we can't go out there. And thus, we have a view of... yes, a rooftop. All the furniture is cheaply made - my husband is an architect, and he literally laughed at how cheap all the materials in the room are. Case in point... our drawers were broken, and when my husband asked to be moved to a different room, they claimed EVERY SINGLE ROOM is booked through May 19. I call BS to that, because while we were checking in, one of the hotel employees started helping the one checking us in, and asked her, "Have you selected a room for them yet?" Is it just me, or does that imply there were multiple rooms available in which to place us? I will say, they did send a very nice and apologetic maintenance man to fix the drawers. But still... seriously NOT impressed. P.S. Our stay did not improve. My husband belatedly realized that he had booked and received confirmation for a room with a king-sized bed, but the tiny room we were in had a queen-sized bed. When he questioned the front desk personnel, they told him that they were overbooked and had downgraded us. Yes, that's right, without even telling us. When I came back, the wallet was not in the closet any more. I thought my wallet was stolen. I tried to talk to front deck people, but they cannot check camera right way. DO NOT STAY! We booked the hotel through bookings and we had a last minute emergency and. According to Bookings, we can cancel it but it could charge us the first night. But there was the option for no cancellation fee if we submit a request. We called the hotel the day before the reservation and a man told us it's no problem and they understand. Just submit a request through booking, which we did. We waited for a day and no response. We called the hotel again since this is our reservation day and this time a women picked up and told us she doesn't know the situation and will ask her manager and the manager will call us back. And then we got an email saying that our request was rejected and the reservation is still live. And now we might lose all of the reservations amount. We called the hotel and the women told us that the manager is off today and sounded like she never heard from us before. So we explained the issue again and then she told us the manager is off today and she will call and ask. At that point, I was really frustrated and just asked them if we should cancelled. the reservation now and lose everything and wait for her to respond. And she said she will call us back. She didn't of course, and when we call her back and she just laughed and said there is nothing we can do. So be careful! I honestly don't think this place deserves even one star. Their service is hands down the worst I have ever experienced. 1 My first phone call was greeted with a solitary hello. Calling my mother is more profesional than this. There was no clarification that this number was in fact the hotel. Strictly hello. 2 Every singly time I talked to the front desk I was brushed off with an extremely rehearsed responce that ended with nothing being done and no one even checking in on anything. They literally just said sorry but that's not my job. You need to go somewhere else. 3 I canceled my last day requested a wake up call at 8 am from the front desk. The morning I was leaving, I did not get a phone call and slept through my flight which cost me more than I needed to pay and I was still charged for the night that I canceled. 4 Every single time I have asked to speak to a manager, I am informed there is no manager at this time. 5 I had made a reservation on hotels.com for this hotel and had been quoted 186.62 but my bill is 266 be for taxes a night. I am also being charged an extra day. I even asked if I could speak to the gm and was told they were not there. I didn't even want to bother with review at first. I called to talk to the gm to get this fixed and I had been told they were not there. I wanted to ask what kind of place is he running and his absence made it extremely clear. In the end the room was fine. I had no problem with that but the service was quite literally the worst I have ever experienced. I can not believe I actually paid for this. Very, very nice hotel, especially for the price. It's near Laguardia airport (2.5 miles away), but plan on a 15-20 min drive in Queens traffic. Lots of authentic Asian restaurants nearby. Really close to the heart of Flushing. Really nice front desk staff. Very clean and contemporary rooms. Free breakfast in the morning. Fitness room. Smells like a brand new hotel. Lots of attention to detail in the rooms. 2 free bottles of water. A nice Nespresso machine in each room with ceramic coffee mugs. Co Bigelow shampoo and soaps. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Everything looks meticulously clean. Free high speed internet access. Target, a mall and bunch of restaurants are all across the street. Will stay here again instead of those older inns and mo-hotels near the airport. A nice, new hotel with friendly staff and clean amenities with affordable rates, right in the middle of Flushing! It also helps that it's right next to the mall with Target, Nordstrom Rack, Old Navy, Best Buy, and Marshalls! We took a red eye and arrived around 9 am but they didn't have any rooms available for early check-in. We spent the day in the city and then came back around 10 pm, and our room with 2 queen beds was no longer available. They were nice enough to give us two rooms side by side, each with one queen bed. :) Breakfast is on the second floor with a nice mixture of American and Taiwanese breakfast treats. Not the best but enough to get your day started. The only downside..we found some questionable yellow stains around the toilet which grossed me out our entire stay. Quite gross but I'm sure it's not representative of the entire place. Oh and if you're not Chinese, you'll definitely feel welcome, but there's just a limited option of TV shows and talking to hotel service workers can be a bit complicated. I'd definitely stay here again..much cheaper than a night at a Best Western or a 3 star hotel in Manhattan and much fancier amenities! Parking is pricey though..$25 a night. We opted to park on the streets every night which worked out surprisingly well for us. read more

My boyfriend and I were visiting NYC, and we were wanting something nice and cheap. Well, that's pretty much impossible to get in Manhattan and somewhat hard to get just outside the city so after a lot of time looking up places, we decided on Parc Hotel. It's somewhat far away from the city (~30 min just to get into the city, up to an hour to get anywhere around the island), but it's somewhat closeby to the subway station, just 2 blocks away (5-10 min walk). Check-in is at 3 pm, but our flight was early and we arrived around 1-2 pm. They were kind enough to give us an early check-in. We got a standard queen room. The room isn't very large, but space isn't that big of a deal to me. What mattered was a comfortable bed to sleep on for 6 nights and a clean room and bathroom which was exactly what we got. They also give 2 free bottles of water in the refrigerator which is awesome! They have C.O. Bigelow as shower amenities which is nice (not gonna lie, stole a couple of bottles during our stay). The bed was so comfortable! It's probably more comfortable than the bed at my home. They have a gym if you need one and also complimentary breakfast! It's great for those who want a Chinese breakfast because they have Chinese donuts, congee, pork steamed buns, and hot unsweetened soymilk. Legit! For those not interested in those, they have some pastries and cereal and hard boiled eggs. Dining area is very large and they have people clean up after you. The hotel is right next to a mall that has a couple of nice stores and a Target. Then, there's pretty much Chinatown down the block if you're craving some good ol' Chinese food. I had an awesome stay here despite having to travel a long time every day to get into the city. If you don't mind the commute, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cheap place to stay at outside of the city. read more

I was there in 2016 place was excellent, service good,clean and price was cheap 2017 reserved a room last week, it's was a complete 180 ! The room wasn't ready and had to wait! At night the whole floor was fill with reefer smoke. Next day we requested the room to be cleaned, got back in the evening and the room was not cleaned. Got stranded in NYC for a night due to a weather related flight cancellation. Delta Airlines was about as unhelpful as they could possibly be, so I was left to fend for myself and landed on this place for a cheap room near La Guardia. The hotel itself is probably a 3 star place. Comfortable accommodations, but not a lot of bells or whistles and a little small, but perfect for the price. The reason I ranked this as a 4 was the front desk attendant. He sort of went above and beyond. I got into a huge verbal altercation with our moronic cab driver who tried to rip me off (wouldn't accept the Delta cab voucher after I plainly told him I was going to use it when getting in at the airport.) Anyway, the guy followed me into the hotel lobby shouting at me for being rude to him and refusing to tip because he made me pay in cash, and the front desk attendant stepped in and really took care of it. Basically he threatened to call the cops on the guy and got him out of the lobby. Really nice work. He also got us checked in quickly despite all the commotion. The room was clean, they also had these really good Chinese dumplings at the complimentary breakfast. Also I like their little breakfast room on the second floor, it's kind of different and unique. What an amazing experience. Came here and let me just tell you the positive cheerful and helpful staff really enhance the experience. I got upgraded to a suite free of charge as the previous guest in the room I requested decided to extend their stay, what a pleasant surprise! Everything was impeccably clean, the floor to ceiling windows with the bordering LED lights are something special - and the VIEW - oh em gee :). Clean gym with surrounding flat screen tv's and a luxurious yet comfortable home- like feeling at the same time. I booked the room online n chose pay while we check in. It was 109$ before tax online then I got charged 140$ after tax in the hotel (30$) tax ? Then the room without any toothbrush n toothpaste n slippers n shampoo. U actually have to go down the first floor to ask them bc they don't put those supplies inside the room. 3.5 stars. Small, albeit cute, clean, and quiet hotel. Nothing fancy. Stayed here for one night when Delta cancelled our flight and we were forced to find a hotel to stay the night at near LaGuardia. This hotel had a really reasonable room rate. It was small (but very comfortable - especially the bed!), and the people working the front desk were very professional and friendly. The area seemed a little odd, not much to walk to around the hotel except for a Target a few blocks down and a bunch of Chinese restaurants, but there was about a half foot of snow outside and I didn't have a jacket so I wasn't leaving the premises even if someone paid me. They provided a complimentary continental breakfast which was unique and good -- some American stuff like cereal and donuts, and some Chinese fare like congee and bao (yum). If you are Chinese, this might be the spot for you -- the hotel seems to cater to Chinese w/the Chinese breakfast, extra Chinese channels in the rooms, and some Chinese-speaking staff. I'd definitely stay here again if I find myself needing a hotel near LaGuardia. read more

Clean, quiet, and about half the price of other hotels near the Bille Jean Tennis Center. Excellent pied a terre near the US Open. We walked there and back each day, it's maybe 20-25 minutes. Very welcoming, friendly service. Awesome beds, so comfy. We slept better than we have in a very long time. Not sure if it was the bed or the blackout shades but very happy. Parking is at the Skyview shopping center about a block away; it's confusing when you arrive but it works. Internet was free but speeds were pretty slow. We forgot about the breakfast so did not get a chance to try it. read more

Before parking, I asked whom I thought was the parking lot attendant and only person who was present there if I could park there. He told me I could, but when I was leaving the hotel concierges insisted that I pay their parking fee of $27. Even though their own employee gave me permission to park there. The Parc Hotel employees were rude as can be. They actually took pride in their behavior when I told them this is how they trader people in China, but not in USA. Went up to our room which was very nice and clean. It was a little small but that didn't bother us. The price and the room fit our needs. Bed and pillows were so comfy. We did go on the rooftop and the night was really cool but we enjoyed it. It was a lot of people up there and the couches were tiny for petite Asian people. Food was a little expensive for bar food. If I could give this hotel zero stars I would!! This was a complete and total nightmare experience when our flight was canceled at LaGuardia and we were desperate for a hotel. This was the only room left. I have NO doubt they illegally increased the price to almost $400 a night since it was the same as our boutique hotel in Manhattan. The hotel smelled, had torn ratty towels, no blankets for the pull out couch (but finally came through around 10:30 pm with blankets). Even tried to enjoy the roof top bar - small plastic cups of unchilled white wine for $14 each. The "free" breakfast was very skimpy. It is hard to feel welcome here. I'm shocked that people are rating this hotel as high as they are. We definitely were taken advantage of on price but at that late hour with one room left that we could find after calling 10 hotels- what choice! And I have to say expectations are low of those who are rating this hotel high. There is absolutely no way this hotel should be above a one or two star based on price and lack of cleanliness and amenities. Also my child came home with BED BUG BITES!! First, I picked this hotel because it looked great online, was close to where I needed to be and had a ROOFTOP BAR. I check in to find out that the bar is closed due to "new management." BTW...there's not a nearby liquor store or decent bar aside from Applebee's near by. Second, when I returned to my room one day...the door was open from when housekeeping had come to clean. The front desk didn't seem too upset by this and said they would "address" the issue. WTF does that mean? Third...there's no parking. You can park in the garage of the mall near by but its a decent one plus block and expensive. Rooms are tiny and lack lighting. Probably won't choose to stay here again when I need to return. Definitely caters to an Asian community. If you need a very basic room for the night, I guess its okay. read more

Probably the best hotel in the area, definitely the newest and biggest. Nice size rooms, modern, basic amenities, air con, fridge, safe, tv, clean modern bathroom. Breakfast is a little plain, Chinese congee and assortment of pastries. Staff were great, all fluent in English and Jacky at reception gave us especially great service, great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Only downside is the wifi is a bit choppy but it was free and was able to access it 90% of the time. Great value for money, saved about $200 saying in Flushing rather than Manhatton. No 7 subway line is about 25 journey to times square. Flushing is like a massive Chinatown area with many great food places. The hotel is situated a 5 minute walk from the Flushing Main Street subway. There is a shopping center next door with Applebees, Target and some other shops. We walked to Queens Corona Park, Citi Field Stadium and the Multiplex cinema. Outside of the town is mainly industrial. A very safe area, my girlfriend and I walked back at 11pm and you see families and ladies walking by themselves. Will definitely stay again. Happy couple. read more
