Lovely mocktail in front of the fireplace

Lovely quick lunch with a coworker in the bistro. We sat in front of the fire and enjoyed a lovely lychee based mocktail, French onion soup and the crab melt. The soup was piping hot so the cheese was super gooey. Great service and tasty food in a very cozy room. It was pretty busy but there was no impact on the service. We walked over from the office and can tell you there is plenty of street parking and valet is available too. I really need to come here more often!

Bougie vibes. But still cozy. It's a go-to as a local, and from what I hear of those you stay there, it's all good. I adore all the staff. They are very attentive and lovely. Food is always on- point. And Max, makes vicious cocktails. I just had a "stay-cation" myself to make sure. I agree. All good.

Food, service and ambiance are on point! Octopus, Calamari and my steak were fresh and cooked to perfection!

A venture to the old world where the dining room was like an study with a fire place roaring, book shelves with leather bound books and nearby a bar with the new fangle big screen tv broadcasting sports and old men drinking. I had the squash and pumpkin seed soup and Park Melt sandwich with a small green salad. The soup was served nice and hot with a splash of balsamic vinegar, it gave a more elegant taste and presentation. My accompanying green salad instead fries provided balance to my plate. It was a fresh mixture of green lightly dressed. The star of my meal, Park Melt was served a petite sandwich, definitely not a slider, a toasted thick bread, well buttered, folded in half stuffed with crab meat and cheese. It was a nice taste. I could enjoy more, quantity wise. Overall, a pleasant meal.

    Loved our sunny booth!

OMG! We had the best time here! I needed a central location for a family gathering and Lafayette, CA fit the bill. After reading Yelp! reviews, we decided to dine at The Park Bistro & Bar so I made an 11:30am reservation for 5. None of us had been here before and all live about an hour away. Upon turning into the property via their driveway, parking was confusing and available but not immediately obvious. Unbeknownst to us this is a hotel, restaurant & bar so the first area seen is the hotel check-in drive. I made the mistake of turning left which exits the property but I was able to turn around, in tight quarters, to head the other direction which is hotel parking where I met the rest of my party. We stood in the middle of the parking lot looking for the restaurant entrance but only saw one designated as "Handicap" so lacking any other indication, entered there and found ourselves at the hotel front desk and were immediately engaged by Beth who told us everything we needed to know including some of her favorite entrees. When we entered the restaurant, we were soon lead to the dining room where we were seated in a large, half-moon booth that extended into the interior courtyard. Shortly thereafter we were greeted by our waitress Jolene who turned out to have a hilarious sense of dry humor which we all enjoyed immensely throughout our lunch. Everything we ordered was interesting and tasty. Absolutely no complaints here! We will be back!

I have had great and mediocre meals here in May 2025 and November 2025. The service can be the same too! It just depends! Our first meal was at the bar and it can be really loud but energetic! The restaurant is more subdued and quiet. But then you have to make sure you don't get forgotten back there in a booth. In May 2025, they had a different chef and plates came out for dinner with color and presentation and taste were important. Last night not so much, however we LOVED the pineapple bread pudding! Best dessert ever and highly recommend! The macchiato was also great! My daughter enjoyed the deviled egg appetizer. They have a new chef so I'm just not sure about their food now due to our dinner last night which included caesar salad with chicken(dry, bland, had to ask for more dressing and dried cheese crackers were chewy and stale) and duck entree (with a tiny dollop of sweet potatoes that was ruined with apple cider vinaigrette on it) and crab cakes appetizer. The manager was very gracious and was open to receiving our feedback on a lackluster meal and sad presentation since our last visit 6 months ago was mostly all wow! However, back in May 2025, we did also have the Salmon entree on our second dinner and it was disappointing too. It was a tiny portion and took over an hour to come out. I don't recommend the pastry sampler at breakfast, it was just normal everyday pastries you can get anywhere. There ice water tastes good. Love the cider! They have tiny jellies and jams on each table. They do not have stevia but truvia. This restaurant bar has so much potential and I hope they can find their rhythm for service, quality food and presentation to match their resort and spa experience. Best of luck and we cheer you on! Yeehaw! 4 stars for professionalism

Stayed at this hotel for the weekend and decided to grab dinner at the resturant. The place looks so nice! We started off with some drinks then ordered appetitezer to start. Devil eggs and calamari was what we ordered, Then we ordered the filet mignon and the braised short rib. Everything came out delicious and good service. They checked up on us to make sure we were good :)

    Bourbon sour.

I stayed at the accompanying hotel and came over here for happy hour. The pricing was pretty good and the service was as well. I order a bourbon sour to consume while waiting for my to go order. The drink was underwhelming, and that is probably being kind. I don't recommend it. The food, however, was outstanding. I ordered the beef sliders and they were perfectly seasoned with a moist tasty roll. The deviled eggs were also good. Adding a crouton on top was a unique choice;l, and it worked well. I'd definitely eat here again, but would explore different drink options.

I always have great meals here! I've been here many times, both for lunch and dinner. Their cocktails are great. Their food is great! Service is great too! I've been happy with everything I've had here so far, would definitely come back!

Hey, does anybody know if the Lafayette Park Hotel/The Park Bistro & Bar used to be a mortuary? I know there is a cemetery next door...

No. There was a lumber yard there until the hotel was built in the 80s

Plenty of espresso drinks, freshly brewed coffee with cheap refills, and a pastry case that always has something worth grabbing. The breakfast menu holds up too. Avocado smash on sourdough and the farm fresh egg sandwich are both solid picks if you want more than a pastry. The space is the real draw. Indoor seating if you want quiet, plus a big covered patio out back with string lights, wine barrel tables, and heaters for the colder months. After that you're hunting. Kitchen closes at 2pm, so plan accordingly. I've only ever come for the morning routine, but they've got a full bar with craft cocktails, draft beer from local breweries like Fieldwork and Altamont, and wine by the glass. Fantastic drink. My friend tasted mine and ordered the same. The selection is the draw here. Whiskey lines the entire back wall, the rarer bottles sit behind wire-mesh locked cabinets, and there is a deep bench of tequila, beer on tap, and wine to round things out. One look at the shelves tells you they have the base for any drink you want. We split the Margherita flatbread, pesto, fresh mozzarella, and blistered cherry tomatoes, and it hit the spot as a drinking snack. The menu goes deeper than expected for a bar, with sliders, naan tacos, and charcuterie if you show up hungry. Service was good considering the staff-to-crowd ratio. Sevan stayed attentive the whole time and clearly knows his stuff. The vibe is chill and conversation-friendly, not too loud for the size of the room, with a bank of TVs toward the back if you want to catch a game. Logistics are easy. I love places like Lafayette where all the businesses support each other and help each other grow. Their brews on tap are mostly all local, and we grabbed some Pilsners sourced from Lafayette's new brewery, Western Flyer. So fresh and crisp. Can't wait to also check that spot out. Food-wise, we came in mid-afternoon and grabbed a Kale Pancetta salad (they pre-split the salad for us on two plates which was so nice), and for the mains, we both grabbed the Tuna Melt with fries. The salad was delicious. I'm def a tuna melt girly, and I loved the addition of the ciabatta (?) as the bread option, so fresh as well. This tuna melt comes with grapes fyi, and a few other elements mixed in. I absolutely loved it, just sharing though as I know how some tuna stans like their tuna :) This spot is clean, spacious, and perfectly situated in walking distance downtown. Would love to come back for brunch with a group of friends, or even again during the upcoming Lafayette Art & Wine Fest. Food is good, service is quick and friendly, and vibes are right.
