A great little neighborhood bar that has all the good restaurant employees hang out at afterwards but you gotta come down and see Charlie. If not, I'll kick you out.

    The stare down, I lost.

So my husband suggested going here, but then he smelled fried chicken and had to find that first. He didn't think I would want to go after dinner but I was game for it. I've been in the Lafayette area a few times and walked by this bar. Always curious, but never went in. Finally I had to do it. It's a dark old dive bar with character is the best way to describe it. There are so many things I stared at the bar, as well as got the stare down by the big buck on the wall. It does get crowded before/after dinner. Things to know before you go: - This is a cash only establishment. There are signs at the bar, don't act as if you didn't know. I didn't check if there's an ATM on site, but if there isn't there are a lot of banks nearby. - Shuffle board (we played, I won the second game) - (2) pool tables - Outdoor seating area with monitors (cute set up) It was karaoke night last night and it was supposed to start at 9pm, but the entertainer was running late, so lucky for the patrons, you didn't have to hear me sing.

Super fun karaoke night. Too crowded with almost no social distancing or masks. We tried to keep our dancing to just our area, but people kept bumping into us. Cheap drinks at least! Open late in. Sleepy town.

This is a great old school bar (cash only heads up) with really great prices. Cheep beer and liquor with an amazing dive bar vibe. Really quick service and an amazing Bourbon selection. I found out that this bar has been around for 80+ years which made me stay even longer than originally planned. They have two pool tables, fooseball, and outside smoking/drinking area with lots of seating available. They also had very cool live music when I was there, really awesome band!

Bartenders not very friendly but clean for a dive bar. Drink selection is decent at least, but serviced isn't calling me back.

Haven't been there in a while, but when we lived in Lafayette we were regulars and always felt welcome. Loved the atmosphere.

This is just a gross bar with awful expensive drinks that were watered down. Local watering hole. Don't bother going.

Parking is free, the outdoor space is nice, and we were quickly seated. After that, it was all down hill. We ordered off the happy hour menu - caesar, cheese plate, shishitos, sliders, and a couple of drinks (none of the specialty cocktails are on happy hour). The beers were the best thing, then the shishitos. Our cheese plate was completely INEDIBLE. You could tell that it had been sitting out for a very long time because the cheese was sweaty and some pieces were MOLDY - like the edge piece of a hard cheese after it's been in your fridge for a while that you cut off and throw away. The grapes were shriveled as well. Not sure how this is acceptable to serve. Supposedly it was made earlier for room service. All they did was take it off the bill and barely apologized - we were in a hurry since it took about 20/25 minutes for everything to even come out and could not wait for them to remake it. Idk, it was appalling and I was hoping for more restitution. Will not be recommending.

I asked if there was availability in the dining room but she kept pushing for us to sit in the patio. She escorted me to the patio to convince our party of sitting there, and I said no, we really prefer the main dining room. Then she asked if we wanted to sit at the bar dining room. I said, no, we prefer the main dining room. Finally, appeared to give in and said she would set-up seating for us in the main room. Thinking she was doing us a favor and squeezing us into a crowded dining room, the room was filled with empty tables. Feedback Park Bistro, sit your guests in the main dining room before offering the patio. That should be the last option for guests to be seated unless requested. The food was ok, but after experiencing so much trouble in getting seated, so many thoughts of why we were 1st encouraged to sit in the patio...

Plenty of espresso drinks, freshly brewed coffee with cheap refills, and a pastry case that always has something worth grabbing. The breakfast menu holds up too. Avocado smash on sourdough and the farm fresh egg sandwich are both solid picks if you want more than a pastry. The space is the real draw. Indoor seating if you want quiet, plus a big covered patio out back with string lights, wine barrel tables, and heaters for the colder months. It's a pleasant place to sit and talk without feeling rushed. A few tips if you're heading over: get there early for the best seats, and street parking out front is free until 10am. After that you're hunting. Kitchen closes at 2pm, so plan accordingly. I've only ever come for the morning routine, but they've got a full bar with craft cocktails, draft beer from local breweries like Fieldwork and Altamont, and wine by the glass. The evening side is on my list. If you live in the area and don't have a regular coffee spot yet, make this it.

As a Peruvian who cooks this food at home, I can say confidently: this restaurant doesn't deliver authentic Peruvian cuisine, and the prices don't justify the quality. We ordered the ceviche, which lacked the brightness and flavor it should have. The seco was worse...you can taste when someone hasn't actually made this dish before or even tried it themselves. The adobo tasted more like mole than traditional Peruvian seasoning. Across every dish, the flavors felt off, overseasoned or just plain confused, the sarsa de cebolla had cilantro! It's supposed to be mint! ‍. I've tried several Peruvian restaurants around the Bay, and this isn't competing. The reviews are mostly five stars, but I suspect that's from people 1000% unfamiliar with what real Peruvian food tastes like. If you've had it done right, you'll notice immediately here. The one bright spot: service was genuinely excellent. The staff was warm, attentive, and made the experience pleasant. That's the only reason this didn't feel like a complete waste. Save your money and your time.

The entire collection of wine was exposed to heat and ruined but they are still selling it to unknowing customers. Many of the wines that I inspected had corks bulging out past the foil and were discolored. The Syrah I picked and thought was safe looked good but under the foil, the cork was bad and yes the wine was rancid. I wish that was just a side story but the glass of wine I purchased was also foul. It was the most expensive Napa Cab they serve. I asked a few times how long the bottle was open and he did not know but guessed maybe a night or two before. This tells me a few things; they are not keeping wine fresh or pumping out the air or using a Coravin system for example. They are not writing the date opened even. Also in my personal opinion, the wines here are the lower tier to keep pricing down and profits high. It just makes the experience low for the customer. Lastly I did have a cheese plate and it was also terrible. The staff have no knowledge of wine. So it just ends up being a happy hour place for people to drink cheap wine. I'm sorry for the former failed business and appreciate trying to take it over but the business model is not working. It's not worthy of business woman of the year unfortunately. Lesson learned: Californians know wine!
