This time we had the chance to meet the owner, who was incredibly kind and took the time to tell us about how Sipeos came to be and the inclusive environment they're trying to create. I really love the thought behind their menu. There's such a diverse selection for both vegans and non-vegans, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, so everyone can come together and actually have plenty of options. We ordered some of the same food we loved the first time and also tried the pizza this time. Once again, everything was amazing! And having vegan desserts to choose from just makes it even better. Came to Sipeos for brunch and enjoyed most everything we ordered. The four of us each ordered a cocktail and shared two pinsas and the shakshuka. The shakshuka was excellent! It was smoky, well spiced, and rich. The eggs on top were on the smaller side so they were a tad over on the cook, but not too bad. The pinsa that was delivered though...oof, trade this out for actual pita or something. It was just so dry and over baked with oil. As for the pinsas, generally pretty good. I did expect the Pesto Eggplant to have the eggplant cooked down a bit more to allow the eggplant to have more of a creamy texture but that's just personal preference. Under the Tuscan sun was quite delicious and perfect for the summertime with the cannelini beans, mozz, lemon and peppery arugula. We did add two dips - the harissa and the creamy zataar. The harissa was better. The zataar needed a lot more zataar. All in all, would return! read more

We finally made Sipeos the priority after walking past it for ages on our True Food trips next door, and it earned the detour. California-Mediterranean spot with a big vegetarian focus, plenty of vegan and gluten-free options, and a solid cocktail and beer list to go with it. I had the Impossible Kefta, which was full of flavor and easily my favorite thing on the table. The Avocado Toast-ish held up too, piled with arugula, feta, and poached eggs. We finished with the Mediterranean Cocoa Mousse and it was worth every calorie. If you only order one thing, make it the kefta. The Turkish coffee deserves its own mention. I know my Turkish coffee, and this one was done right. Not burnt, thick and flavorful down to the last sip. Staff was friendly and on top of things. The indoor tables were all held by reservations, so they sat us at the bar, which turned out to be a nice perch anyway. Make a reservation if you want indoor seating, but the bar and the outdoor patio are both comfortable. Noise stayed low to average the whole time. We never had to raise our voices. Clean spot, well staffed. Parking is free for the first three hours in Broadway Plaza, so the logistics are easy. They serve brunch, lunch, and dinner, plus a happy hour Monday through Thursday with cheap bar bites and discounted drinks. Great experience start to finish. Parking is free for the first 3 hours at the lot and this place is very close to the garage exit. Stumbled upon this place after a long day of shopping. The aesthetic of the restaurant is super cute! The restaurant features vegan and vegetarian food. We ordered a small mezze plate which came with two dips and flatbread. For the dips we got the whipped feta, which was super delicious, and the roasted red pepper Romesco which was also delicious. We decided to go with the large dip platter with gluten free bread (additional charge) and butternut squash soup. The food was alright, our favorite was the roasted red pepper dip. Sipeos is a great vegan / vegetarian restaurant with a deliciously crafted authentic Mediterranean / Greek menu. It was so good that we ended up going there twice on our vacation in Northern California. All their dishes are either vegan or can be altered to be vegan (they easily replace all their dairy based cheeses with vegan alternatives such as feta or mozzarella). What they do with the impossible meat is just amazing - the skewers are well spiced and cooked to perfection. I also highly recommend the eggplant carpacio and as others mentioned their mezze plates. The ambulance is casual and if the weather permits they have outdoor seating as well. Service is amazing and even with a full restaurant everything came out super fast. Took a bit too long for the server to come to my table, but that bought me time to develop my list of questions. Almost all of the menu can be modified vegan. And most items are gluten free too. The eggplant carpaccio (vegan modified) was my fav dish. The pesto and vegan feta are both perfect touches to the dish. And the eggplant slices are thicker than a traditional carpaccio slice, which is what I was looking for. The citrus and fennel salad was excellent. The lettuce is almost shaved. The grapefruit segments zingy and the avocado and fennel slices abundant. The black and white bean beet burger patty (vegan modified) is off the charts. Nice, thick and dense. Held together well. The vegan ranch is ideal for those who like dill . The pickles are delish. I did not care for the baked potato chips, they were drenched in oil. If they were dry I'd probably enjoy the crunch. The pistachio cheesecake (vegan) is the best vegan cheesecake I've ever had. It's so reminiscent of traditional cheesecake I'm still questioning in my head how it's vegan. It's got that perfect "sour-ish zing that mimics cream cheese. Almost has a touch of lime essence or zest. And surprise, the center has a layer of pistachios hidden in it. This review is long overdue because I truly thought I had already reviewed Sipeos! Sipeos in Walnut Creek is such a cute spot! We were on our way to Macy's when it caught our attention, and I'm so glad it did. We were pleasantly surprised to find vegan options on the brunch menu, but the French toast is what really pulled us in--and it did not disappoint. It was so fluffy and delicious that I couldn't help but ask if it was actually vegan because it tasted that good. The cauliflower skewer was another standout: super flavorful with great variety, and I couldn't stop dipping into all the different accessories. I've been twice and everything I've had here has been delicious! This time I got the Greek white bean soup and the impossible meatballs in tomato sauce. Both were so so good. My drink was the tahini in a bottle cocktail, which was really unique and nice. It was very sweet, so if you don't like overly sweet drinks this one isn't for you. However, I asked my server to add a splash of bubbly water to dilute the sweetness and they were happy to accommodate! All of the staff seemed very nice :) I will definitely be back. read more

I don't get the hype. I was here with the cousin's family for dinner on a Sunday. We weren't too hungry and only went with the large mezze plate starter (tuscan white-bean hummus, charred eggplant and the roasted red-pepper romesco dips), followed by the pesto eggplant and hot honey pinsa. Honestly, nothing hit the spot for us. The flavors are simply not there. The menu is very interesting, the vibe cannot be beat, and service is excellent. The food was super disappointing. I want to first off compliment Kaitlyn M for her wonderful review bc it was the reason I decided to go to Sipeos! I was in town for a wedding and a day early, and found it on yelp. I'm really glad I went! I was solo, and saw other solo ladies enjoying their meal which made more comfortable tbh. I initially sat outside but as it got colder, requested to be moved inside and was accommodated very quickly. It was warmer inside with dimmer lighting which provided a cozy feel. Service was fantastic! I unfortunately didn't get the names but one lady who provided a lot of recommendations on the menu (very enthusiastically too!) and a newer lady who had just started recently. Both were prompt and very helpful. I LOVE the amount of non- or low-alcoholic cocktails and I think they display a lot of range and creativity - I wish I lived closer bc this would be a case where I'd want to try every drink! I personally liked the pepper shandy the most (100% would recommend for anyone who likes shandies) but has some difficulty with the cherry sherry Cherie (I'm typically a person who enjoys cherry flavors when others think that the same item tastes like cough syrup, but even this one tastes like cough syrup to me). For food, I went with the server's recommendation and got a small mezze plate with the whipped feta and the beets, and pesto eggplant and hot honey pizza and had more than enough for leftovers and a delicious meal later in the weekend! Whipped feta was out of this world!!! The beets dip shined a little less but provided a nice contrast to the richness of the feta. To be completely honest, I was flabbergasted when I realized I hadn't yet reviewed Sipeos. Then it became overwhelming to start the review because I could write a book on everything I love about this place! My boyfriend and I moved back to the Bay Area about a year ago. Sipeo's was our first date night spot, and little did we know how special it would be for us. He is a meat eater, but adventurous and willing to try things, and I am vegetarian. Sipeo's is so good that unlike other places where we know it's more of a "me" place, we both often forget that it is a vegetarian restaurant. It has turned into an almost weekly, sometimes multiple times a week outing for us. I feel a personal connection to the business for multiple reasons, one of which seeing the way they have grown from the beginning when we first moved and they first opened their doors. We've seen them go through struggles, seen them change the way they do things multiple times, and most importantly seen a huge influx of customers as people recognize what an incredible restaurant this is. I've been rooting for them since the start, and I am so proud of what Sipeo's has become. Our first visits we got to talk to the workers and even the owner, and you can tell how passionate they all are, which is rare and heartwarming. Finally on to the food, you can't go wrong with anything. We always get a large mezze platter to start our meal off with fresh vegetables and incredible dips. Our favorites are the romesco and the beets, but you can't go wrong with any of them. It's why we always get the large! The under the tuscan sun pizza is our favorite pizza hands down. I was surprised to hear a waiter list off the most popular to another customer the other day and didn't hear it make the list. I've never had anything else like it, and the flavor is fantastic. The impossible kefta skewers are delicious and moist, which is hard to find for imitation meat. I love the convenience and ease of eating out and getting to try new flavors I can't make at home, but especially when not eating meat my options are quite limited, and usually very unhealthy. The fact that I can get protein here, vegetables, and not have everything served in a vat of oil is what will keep me coming back again and again. Paired with the incredible service of course. If I was to point out any faults, the wine here is extremely pricey, and it does make me sad that I've seen the portions get a little smaller as time progresses and customers increase. But again, as someone who comes weekly, there are bound to be off days as well. I sound like I'm also an employee, but we are just extremely loyal customers who have been with this business since the beginning. I am so happy to see a healthy, vegetarian place do so well. It truly warms my heart. I've introduced all of my friends and family to here, and come here more often than most people eat out at all restaurants combined, so I think it's safe to say I am their number one fan. I have had better pita, ours felt unfortunately a bit dry/old. If I had to pick one dish, it's the burger for me. But the pistachio cheesecake stole the show it was INSANELY GOOD! This new place has a really great ambiance and very friendly service. Lovely spot tucked into a corner with nice patio seating and good warmers. I wanted to like it more. The concept is great, mocktails and low-alcoholic cocktails and lots of N/A wines and beers with a full vegetarian fusion menu. It just doesn't quite deliver. I had the bean patty burger and it wasn't flavorful. I ended up stealing my husband's ghost pepper harissa sauce and slathering it on. The butternut squash soup was not bad. He had the impossible kefte which he said was pretty good. The mocktails were okay. I had the pica pica and it could've used more spice and flavor. Tasted like a very refreshing cucumber and soda water rather than a mocktail. My husband was disappointed with his mock old fashioned. Beautifully presented but really not much there without the bourbon/whiskey. He wants to try the low alcohol version next time. This place might consider leaning more into the flavors of the Indian side of their fusion idea. And one tip on the service -- they could hold back a little. They were overly eager and kept interrupting our conversations and pushing more food on us. Might give them a few months and try again to see if they've improved. read more

I was thrilled to find a place in Walnut Creek with so many non-alcoholic options! They actually have the spirit alternatives/non-alcoholic liqueurs like Three Spirits, Optimist Botanicals and Seedlip. There was an entire page of nonalcoholic drink options! I was just here on July 5th to celebrate my younger sister's 22nd birthday. It was a party including me, my younger and older sister, my younger sister's best friend and his male friend, two cousins with their partners, another cousin and my niece from my mom's side, which came down to a party of 11. After arriving, I saw that they started off with the large mezze plate. Then, later on, we ordered our meals. I got the impossible kefta skewer plate with chimichurri and flatbread and a glass of Joyus sparkling rosé, a nonalcoholic wine Service was excellent, servers were stellar!
