We finally got to go to the Park House and had a great time having drinks at the bar. The four of us got lucky enough to find four seats at the bar on a Saturday...rare and lucky! We had couple drinks and got to beat the first set of a great band. It was insanely packed and loud but everyone was having a fun filled Saturday night.

Stopped in here on St. Patrick's Day after the major crowds had cleared out of downtown. I thought their beer selection was just ok. They had chocolate coins on the bar for the holiday, which was a nice touch. I wasn't there for food but what they were serving smelled great. I skimmed the menu to see if I should come back but didn't see much there for vegans (plenty of vegetarian options, though). Still, I am glad this place is still going strong!

Came here on a Wednesday evening with some friends. Such a fun spot on East Ohio! We enjoyed the artichoke dip, the margarita pizza and the burrata pizza. The hot honey on the side was delicious. It was plenty for the 3 of us. At an affordable price too! Went home with leftovers. Extensive drink menu. Excellent service. They are kind, attentive and helpful. Would definitely return.

If you want a venue that is hopping, but still cozy, Park house is the place for you! I was there on a Friday, and Aaron Lewinter and the Fortune of Love were playing. The vibe was incredible! These guys were rocking the house with funky jazz, as well as some originals. I really like how they engaged with the crowd! I had a hand held burrato, and a delicious drink with a marshmallow on the top. I highly recommend this place, and will definitely be back on Friday!

Order of pierogies and a gyro.

The Park House has been a recent discovery for me and a pleasant one at that. I was never a big North Side fan, which is in fault to my Pittsburgh ignorance or not wanting to cross bridges. It's a Pittsburgh thing, and it's totally true. I had actually tried to come here before, but because of their late opening hours I wasn't able to partake. Recently I wasn't in a rush and ended up here, not once, but twice before I could write the review. I'm glad I did that because it solidifies for me the fact that this place is consistent with service and food. We showed up shortly after opening on a Thursday (yes, both times). Walked in and since it is shortly after opening not many people are in here. We walked up to the bar and took a seat. Opening just happens to be Happy Hour as well, on the wall there is a list of beers and wines that you can have for I believe five bucks. Once we ordered our drinks we asked for a menu. Now, I must warn you, if you are coming here to have a huge meal, while it's possible to do, it will be hard to do. The menu is very small and does not cover everything you would expect when it comes to bar food. The menu is actually just one side of a page and if you didn't space it out would fit at the top of the page where a header would sit. I pointed out earlier that we showed up on a Thursday, do that if you like gyros. They run a special on Thursdays on the gyro. Definitely worth it. That gyro was the best gyro I have ever had. The gyro is made up of grilled lamb meat, kosher pickle chips (which are super fresh), Israeli style salad (also super fresh), which is then all stuffed inside a pita. Tzatziki sauce served on the side. Each bite of this gyro I took I made sure to add the sauce. I did not put that gyro down until it was gone. I'm for real, I didn't stop eating that until I had finished it completely. I had added fries to my meal for the upcharge. They were decent, but not necessary for the meal, the gyro could definitely just be your meal here. I had also ordered the pierogies. I can't pass them up when I see them on a menu. According to the menu they were just added recently. When you order these you get a side of sour cream and grilled buttered onions. They are good for an appetizer or a side here. Staff are very attentive here. Anytime we needed anything the bartender was on top of it. Checking in on us multiple times. Also you get to see your food being made, so you know it's fresh and made properly. The chef is amazing and has his routine down to a tee.

What a great neighborhood bar (even if it isn't my neighborhood). The staff here is always friendly and on top of things. The owner Z is awesome. You always feel welcome. If you just need snacks there is free popcorn and peanuts. Other than that you don't find typical bar food here and that is part of what I love. The hummus is great. Personally I love the falafel pita though. The falafel is moist and there is hummus and veggies and tahini. I add a little hot sauce and it's perfect. They have a small but pretty good draft list plus a selection of bottles and cans. They always have an Arsenal cider on tap as well. Check out the "worst beer special" plus $5 drafts for happy hour. A great place to stop in for something to eat or just to grab a drink. Check the schedule for live music and special events.

This is my final review of this wonderful Northside institution. Sadly, The Park House closed its doors for good as of last call New Year's Eve. The owner Zamir Zahavi always made us (and I believe all his patrons) feel like welcome family. "Z" is tight-lipped about what's next but assures me he'll "be around." That's good news. If that assurance includes Z's famous falafel, well, that's a special bonus. I will keep an eye out and as soon as I know, I will pass word on to my fellow Yelpers.

Super welcoming and chill. Staff and clientele were awesome. Pretty good looking menu and we split a small order of perogies waiting for our lyft. AMAZING!! Cool old fashioned popcorn machine. Nice jukebox selection! Cool lay out with beautiful wood work, chandeliers, and ceiling. Great beer selection. Will be back.

This is one of many pubs/bars we went to while visiting Pittsburgh a couple weeks ago. Bartenders were really friendly, some of the crowd...really drunk LOL. They have tons of beers available, and coolers with all kinds of different single beers. Be careful that you don't catch a buzz and then decide it's a good idea to buy a 6 pack of singles at an average of $7 each. Not that I did that or anything. Seriously and then I brought 5 of them back home with me! At least I have something different to drink at home :) They had some live music which wasn't really my style, but they weren't bad. Free popcorn....I love popcorn. Definitely a place I would return to if i'm ever on the North Side of Pittsburgh. Of all the bars we went to these bartenders were the most friendly and on top of things!

Chicken skewer with spicy dipping sauce

We tried the Park House hoping to play some Trivia on a Tuesday night. We loved the draft beer selection and pricing as well as the Trivia itself although teams are only supposed to be four players at the most (word to the wise since we arrived with a team of six but they seemed pretty accommodating of first timers so that was cool, because really, our team consists of one uber smart chica and a bunch of dunderheads that occasionally recall something obscure). The food is middle eastern and made to order. I had the Naked Falafel basket and the chicken skewers with the spicy dipping sauce and my partner had the Falafel Master which was a falafel in pita with hummus lettuce and pickles with cucumber sauce. The falafels were a little extra crispy on the outside but perfectly creamy dense on the inside. The dipping sauce was perfectly garlicky and smooth with the right balance of yogurt and seasoning. They also have unlimited free popcorn. Yummy and not too salty which is always a bonus. Trivia night was a good mix of difficult and easy questions. Each round winner gets to select a prize and the trivia master plays a nice mix of jazz and lounge and soul music in between questions/rounds. It was crowded for a Tuesday night and there is plenty of free on street parking after 6PM nearby. We'll be back there in January if you're itching for a battle.

Amazing food. Everything we tried was awesome. The homemade matzo ball soup may be my fav. It is a must try.

This place is a blast! A hidden gem of the North Side for sure. I do have to say, I've only been there on Wednesdays for bluegrass nights, but if that is any indication of how it is the rest of the time, game on! On bluegrass nights, nine to midnight is $2 Yuengling draft, and everyone is always having a good time. I love the dimly lit, warm atmosphere. They have a good beer selection, and I've not had trouble getting quick service here. As far as food, I've only had the falafel... It was great. It also comes with a roll of pita wrapped up in some delicious hummus. When I ordered, they were actually already tearing down their food station, but they were more than happy to get some stuff back out make something for me. Oh, and free popcorn and peanuts to soak up all that beer!

New menu item! Potato Pierogis from Pierogis Plus! Available in 3 or 6, and with or without onions. Super yummy!

Thankfully nothing is overly gory or too creepy. To avoid a line, it is best to go right at opening or about an hour before it closes. There is a list of fun themed drinks served in quirky glasses that match the theme of the drink (a mummy, for example). I visited three times and tried a different drink each time. One thing is that they can (and often do) search your bag to make sure you don't steal the glassware. Sad that they need to so that, but I guess I understand why they need to check.
