    Walley Dinner

We were staying at a hotel in Baldwin and found out that Parkside Restaurant delivered to the hotel. We had walleye dinners and a side of potato salad. The fish was excellent. The veggie side seemed like it came from a frozen bag of veggies. Overall very tasty and excellent service!

Ambiance modern bar in an old building gives it the cool old school feel with a modern vibe. Modern music helps with that. I ordered the Ras flame thrower basket comes with Cole slaw and French fries, I added a cheesy ham soup on the side. My guest ordered a Dago basket. There is a full bar with many varieties of beer and alcohol. Ok soup that I had was amazing. Big chunks of ham and chunks of potatoes smothered in a cheesy comfort blanket. The Dago sausage was very good. If you like the flavor of an old school meatball sub you'll really enjoy this. My burger medium well cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of jalapeño and pepper jack cheese. The fries were perfectly seasoned and had a snap to them not soggy at all. Love my fries like this. The coleslaw was surprisingly delicious. It's homemade and that makes the difference. Page the hostess/ bartender. Is so friendly and helpful. The place has ample room and two bars. One inside in the AC (or heat depending on season) and the other outdoors which doubles as the smoking lounge. There is also an outdoor area for bags & shuffle board(they have leagues), and other shenanigan's. Cheap Andy's, now officially open for about 9 months, has that rustic yet modern feel and enough variety in booze, beer, and food that most anyone will be satisfied. Their menu also goes through a bit of the history of the location (which other reviews mention) which is kind of interesting if you are into that thing. The inside bar itself is a classic thing of beauty and was beautifully redone. We opted for a sausage onion pizza and some tots and both were tasty. The thin crust 'za, comes cut in squares and if it could've been just cooked a titch more(maybe just a minute or two it was that close), would easily give Carbone's and the old Savoy a run for their money. The tots? Well seriously, how can you screw those up (even though it has happened)? These were a crispy perfection that came with a side of seasoned sour cream. My bloody Mary I ordered virgin style was delicious and it didn't even need that usual shot of tequila that I typically like to enjoy mixed in. But sitting at the bar, it's the little things you notice. There was one dude in the kitchen handling it all. Onion rings getting hand coated and dropped in the fryer one at a time. The house blend of bloody Mary mix behind the bar ready to go to satisfy ones Sunday cravings. The ambiance, perfect for a Sunday afternoon, not too loud but busy. All in all, it's definitely worth checking out and I'll be back as there are daily specials offered too (check their FB page). My overall take is that it is your typical bar fare but with a little extra love added to what is served.

I chose the grilled shrimp for my entree. The shrimp were not shrimps, they were huge. I chose garlic mashed potatoes for my side (there were many options) and it came with asparagus as the veggie. It was delicious. Service was excellent. Street parking was easy. We parked directly in front of the entry. Cool spot. Love to see old buildings get repurposed.

I'll start with the positives - the ambiance is excellent and they have a great patio. Our server Simone was friendly and witty and really made our table feel welcomed. What could be better was the quality of some of the food in addition to the amount of time we waited for our food to arrive. After our orders were placed, it took about an hour to receive our food, and the table definitely didn't eat together. Even the appetizers took about 40 minutes to arrive at the table. I thought for what you get, it was insanely pricey. I have never paid close to $20 for a wing appetizer to get an odd number of 5 wings. That's insane. My friend and I planned on splitting that and the patty melt. We are huge patty melt lovers, but this one was bland and nothing good to report. The table did enjoy the shrimp dish. I will admit the bruschetta was darn good, but I wish there was more positives to report with the food. We all stated that we wouldn't pick this place again, but if someone wanted to eat here and suggested it, we would come back, but we would all want to try different things (minus the bruschetta and shrimp dish).
