Very cute bar- serving cocktails (and they change their menu often!) Theres ample parking in and around the area which made it a good place to try after work! The servers were nice and swtiched out the tequila for a mezcal when i told them I like mezcal cocktails. They have olives and a cheese plate for nibbling along side the cocktails. The drinks were pretty delicious but definitely on the pricier side! A nice place to visit for a drink (or two) before heading out for dinner!

Great place, yummy food, GREAT bartenders Masha and Diego know how to do it right!!! Honoring the Grateful Dead at the original Magoo's Pizza Parlor, i mean ya can't go wrong!

Menlo needed a great bar and Loretta delivers!! So happy to have this spot nearby-- came in with some friends for the first time this past weekend and had such a great time!! The drinks are great, service is quick, and the vibe is wonderful-- the perfect late night spot that Menlo desperately needed. Some of the other reviews mention bright lighting, but that was not our experience at all. It was dark and moody-- perfect for a bar, in my opinion. Also, we didn't notice any issues with it being too loud. We were able to hear each other just fine. Anyway, can't wait to come back!:)

Thank you for opening a bar in MP and brining so live to this town! We love this place. The interior is beautiful & elegant with the wall papers and nice furniture. The staff are nice and make the drinks relatively fast. Some new staff still need some training but overall everyone is working hard. The owner is the best! He comes around, greets his guests and work as hard as his staff. We love the cocktails from the menu and also have ordered items off the menu - all great. The calamari is also fantastic! One of the best we've had.

Masha made us these lychee margaritas best drink I ever had in my entire life and I'm an alcoholic

I had a reunion with some of my old college friends. 10/10 Lychee Margarita, thank you Masha. Best drink I've had and I'm an alcoholic!!!

The owner - Ali Elsafy - was extremely rude. We went with a friend who didn't drink. We ordered a whiskey, martini and an ice tea. Ali comes over and makes a joke 'who ordered the ice tea'.. we play along and said 'make it a long island...' Ali then comes back, doubles down and tells my friend "if you're ordering a non-alcoholic drink, at least order an expensive one - i paid 1.5M on this place. this is not a coffee shop or a juice bar!! " WTF??? Who talks like that to a paying cusomer? We left - unacceptable!!!

As a speakeasy enthusiast myself I definitely agree to the fact that it is "hidden" but also it does kinda give corporate vibes a little bit - maybe we can say they "gentrified" the speakeasy experience which is honestly so funny for Palo Alto. But anyways I don't think a classification should stop you from visiting it. The food is actually surprisingly really good. We came with a pescatarian and honestly while the offerings for snacks were a bit slim, every option was really good. I feel like this was the first time where I understood the price even the the quantity is no where close to be desired. One shrimp is like $6 and I was like whoah. Service is definitely more laid back and it's overall just like a more chill atmosphere. I'm fortunate to work nearby so I'll definitely visit this place a few times after work to blow off some steam... And the drinks! Yes they are good! They are also quite strong! Would come back again but also if you're conscious of budget then I'm not sure if you'll find the same value proposition.

The menu was a bit of a challenge for me personally, since I'm not big on sheep or goat cheeses and a lot of dishes lean that way, so take my main course review with a grain of salt. I ordered the gnocchi and found it fairly bland. The corn bread appetizer and both salads (tomato and green) were excellent, though, and the rest of my table raved about their burger and risotto, so I think I just picked the wrong dish. My main hesitation is the price. Almost $40 each for the gnocchi and risotto felt steep, even for downtown Menlo Park. Great food overall and a fun spot, but the combination of a so-so main course (my choice, not necessarily the kitchen's fault) and the price point is why I'm landing at 4 stars instead of 5.

Fantastic Cocktails, Vibrant Small Plates, and Great Group Vibe!…read moreWe had an outstanding meal at Horsefeather in Town & Country Village near Stanford! The space is sleek, modern, and light-filled, making it a perfect spot to gather with friends for lunch or evening drinks and bites. Here is a breakdown of what we tried: Deviled Eggs: A must-order appetizer! Topped with tobiko/caviar, crispy shallots, and chives, they are incredibly creamy with a nice pop of texture and savoriness. Korean Fried Chicken Wings: Crispy, perfectly glazed in a sweet-and-spicy sauce, and topped with sesame seeds. Served with a cool dipping sauce that balances out the heat wonderfully. Tacos (Carnitas & Shrimp): Both taco options were served on warm, fresh corn tortillas topped with pickled red onions, cilantro, and served with a side of slaw and spicy salsa. High quality and super flavorful. Roasted Cauliflower: A gorgeous mixture of purple and white cauliflower tossed with a rich green pesto and drizzle of spicy red pepper sauce. A phenomenal vegetable side with a great kick. French Fries: Golden, crispy, well-seasoned, and served in a massive bowl--perfect for sharing across the entire table. Overall: Excellent presentation, generous portions for small plates, and a super welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for creative craft cocktails or grabbing a bite with a group near campus, Horsefeather delivers. Highly recommended!

Overall had a wonderful evening food, drinks, and ambiance was fantastic. :) We started with drinks and appetizers. All were packed with flavor and creativity. The delived eggs were so a fun twist on the classic delived egg dish, they were bursting with lots of flavor. The most addicting starting was the umami fries they were spectacular and they gave us a heaping portion of them every fry had the perfect amount of seasoning. Street was good as well came out very hot and fresh. Well seasoned although I would have like a little more of the cheese they put on top just through the dish Drinks- - alto adagio: 10/10 light floral not too sweet and beautiful presentation - old fashioned 7/10 - golden path mocktail: 10/10 very good mixes of interesting flavors and ingredients Appetizers - kimchi delived eggs(GF): 9/10 - umami fries(GF): 10/10 - street corn(GF): 7/10 On to dinner, my father got the birria beef roast(GF). Huge piece of meat with super flavorful sauce with fresh handmade tortillas. I got the street tacos with turmeric cayenne shrimp(GF). Once again great portion size you get three tacos packed with protein. Flavor profile was spot on and delicious. My partner got the double cheeseburger with bacon and avocado. Which apparently was the star of the show for the dinner. Not being gluten free I wasn't able to try it but both my father and my partner said it was probably one of the top three burgers they have had in their life. My partner had ordered it cooked medium and it was cook perfectly it was still insanely juicy and it all came to together for the perfect bite. On a side note I love to see that it's always the places where you wouldn't think would serve an incredible classic that just do it better than anyone else. Entree - birra braised pork(GF): 9/10 -street tacos(GF): 10/10 - Double cheese burger : 10/10 Last cocktail - lowrider: 6/10 - Mezcal hibiscus cucumber agave// only points knocked off because it felt like they were trying to mask the strong flavor profile of the mezcal rather than complement it it was a bit on the juicier sweeter side. Only note was the service was a bit slow food came out quick but after the order was taken and set on the table no really check in to see if we needed anything I had to ask someone who dropped off our food to order another cocktail. Once again maybe they were a bit busy but I think maybe looking into doing some table touching by some member of staff could definitely help improve. It could also have been a one off occasion so no major upset. With that said I will definitely be back again the food and drinks were incredible. Can't wait to try more items on then menu and more of their super creative cocktails would definitely recommend!!

I got 2 quesobirria tacos and 2 tacos al pastor, and visually everything looked on point -- the plating was clean, tacos looked well-stuffed, and the birria tortillas had that nice golden crisp. But once we started eating, we all felt the same thing: the salsas were lacking flavor. And with tacos like these, good salsa takes everything to the next level. Here, it kind of held them back. They only gave me two tiny lime pieces, and I couldn't even get enough juice out of them to brighten up the tacos. Something so simple, but it makes a huge difference. We also asked for chips and salsa (they're not free), and they never came. Honest mistake -- they were cool about it and took it off the bill -- but still, it added to the overall experience. Another thing: the nopales weren't well cooked or prepped. They had that slightly tough, raw texture instead of the tender, seasoned bite they should have. Flavor-wise, the pastor and birria were decent, but with weak salsa and barely any lime, it felt incomplete. All four of us agreed on the same thing: This place could be great if they tighten up their salsas and the little details. I'd give them another shot someday because the base is there -- they just need that extra punch of flavor to really elevate their tacos.

Owned by a winner of a reality cooking competition, it makes sense why it is priced at a premium, and with that follows pleasantly attentive service, innovative dishes, and comfy seating. I found the food to be generally pleasant, and the only thing that is unpleasant is their proximity to the train station that interrupts conversation on an intervalized basis. Old Siam - I see the vision of this luxury take on an old fashioned, which is flavorally accurate. I think the garnish is a bit too simple beyond the block ice to properly convey that look. Roti Mataba - Intriguing dish as I've never seen roti used to encapsulate before, but its smart as it creates a flaky exterior that pairs incredibly well with the curry sauce. Pad See Ew - Large portion of a classic dish that is served on the lighter side but still tasty. I would clean up on the presentation though. Mango Sticky Rice - Beautiful arrangement of mango sticky rice that shows great knife skills of the mango. You can see the heart shape starting to form of the sticky rice as well, which is beautiful. Consistently Great Food and Ambiance in Menlo Park…read more I can't believe I haven't written a review sooner--we have been here several times now for both small family dinners and larger group gatherings, and it is a consistent favorite of ours. While the portion sizes are on the smaller side for the price point, the overall dining experience makes it well worth it on occasion. The restaurant has a beautiful, upscale yet bright and reasonably kid-friendly indoor ambiance. Booking online is seamless, and parking is incredibly easy right underground in the Springline lot. The cocktails are good, and you absolutely cannot go wrong with the tea leaf salad, the roti pratha with coconut chicken curry, and the garlic chili prawns. The garlic noodles and fried rice can be a bit hit-or-miss; we have had visits where they are packed with flavor, have a perfect texture, and are a massive hit with the kids, but other times they have turned up a bit bland or with mushy noodles. The manager and staff are friendly and welcoming, and the manager has gone out of their way to accommodate our walk-in group on at least two occasions. My biggest tip is to avoid booking the outdoor seating. It consists of only one or two tables situated right on El Camino Real, making it way too noisy to enjoy your meal. Stick to the gorgeous indoor dining room or bar seating for a solid meal.
