So my whole family went to dinner this past Saturday night. We were greeted by Robert and seated at a super good round table. He came back after we were settled and told us about the specials and took our order for drinks and appetizers. A short while later the drinks and food came! It was all superb! After the plates were picked up Robert came back asked how was everything. Of course it was great. He took our main course orders and again after a short while the food came! An amazing date night in downtown Westhampton Beach. The Patio has been on our "bucket list" for quite some time...and shame on us for not getting there sooner. We were seated in the back, very cozy and chill, along the windows with some white birch. Our cocktails started us off just right, before we delved into a dozen oysters and some Caesar salads. Both were delicious. For our main course, we had the cod over a clam chowder-type sauce that was to die for. And when we ate the fresh cod done to perfection, we dipped some of our fresh Italian bread in the juice. Amazing! We shared our raviolis, and as Italians who adore great homemade Rav's, these too hit the spot. So so happy with our meal, service and even the Santagata evoo bottle we purchased to go. Took my daughter here for dinner after dropping my wife off at Arts Center. We arrived a little early, and the hostess was friendly and quickly seated us, which was a nice start to the evening. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was a mixed bag. We each ordered a cocktail, and both were good. For dinner, we split the Porterhouse for two, priced at $145. While the steak was cooked to order, it didn't live up to the price tag. I've had better quality cuts at well-known steakhouses for less. It lacked the richness and presentation I expect from a premium Porterhouse. The sides -- mashed potatoes & sautéed broccoli -- were excellent. However, the overall experience of the meal was diminished by how it was served. A runner dropped the plates off without a word -- not even a simple "enjoy." There was little to no steak juice on the main platter, which is usually part of the Porterhouse presentation. In most quality steakhouses (I get that this place doesn't bill itself as), the server plates the steak, pours some juices over it, and serves the sides -- none of that happened. They do offer peppercorn and steak sauce, but ideally, the steak should shine on its own. Service was the disappointing part of the evening. While the restaurant was not short-staffed, the service lacked warmth and attentiveness. Our server was pleasant when seating us and explaining specials, but never once checked in to ask how our food was -- despite walking past our table multiple times and even refilling our water. That would've been a perfect opportunity, especially considering our meal cost over $200 for two. Other staffer who refilled water or cleared plates didn't acknowledge us when we said "thank you" -- no eye contact, no smiles, no "you're welcome." And when we left, we passed three staff members near the hostess stand, none of whom said goodnight or acknowledged our departure. Very poor acoustics--it was difficult to hold convo. Sadly, fell short in both service and won't be returning. read more

This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks we have visited this establishment. The 1st time the experience was wonderful and the food was excellent. Last nights experience was the complete opposite. We did not even get to have "dinner". We were accosted by a man named "Tod Williams insisting we were given his table. This was not even an employee of the restaurant . Then we were told by the manager "Armando" that we had 2 choices. Either move our table or leave. We were seated at this table by the hostess. We didn't just seat ourselves. As a restaurant owner this is a terrible way to let your employees run a business. I'm sure there was several other ways this could have been resolved. But telling a patron move or leave after it was the restaurants mistake is bad business. In closing, even in the worst situations you find an amicable way to resolve a problem. My friends and I were in town for a comedy show at the theatre and were very excited to try this place. It started off decent with drinks and appetizers. I will say the corn ravioli special was delicious and the best thing we had there. For dinner we all order the Steak n Frites Medium Rare and it came out well done and not to our liking. Our server was very nice said he'll have the kitchen remake and sent over a bus boy to take back the food. The bus boy or shall I say man was so rude and nasty about it. Telling us to cut into the steak to show him and as stated it was not correct. He gave us an attitude, rolled his eyes and walked away. The manager did come over to apologize but of course the steaks came out extremely rare this time and we were unable to eat them. For the price tag the steak was very fatty and not enjoyable even when I tried to reheat at home. They gave us frozen macaroons...I guess trying to make up for it. We came here for dinner on a Tuesday night while Long Island was about to go into phase three of reopening. They had a couple of tables available for outdoor dining. Our waitress was lovely, and the service was great. They had an appropriate amount of space in between the tables. Masks are required to go inside the restaurant. Staff are also wearing masks. My husband had the corn ravioli, while I had the tuna tartare. We shared the calamari for an appetizer. The corn ravioli was the best dish. The sauce had a clear corn flavour, and the pasta was also filled with a corn sauce. The tuna tartare and the calamari were both average in comparison, and the tuna didn't taste as fresh as other places I've been to. Would stick with pasta if you are coming here. Overall, not a bad place to eat, but I didn't think it was amazing based on what I ate this time. read more

Consistently one of the best gems of Westhampton. Our favorites are the New England Clam chowder w their hint of truffle and it's never overloaded w potatoes . Corn ravioli is a Must Try, simply the best flavor you'll experience. The papardelle with the Ragu sauce is just delicious as well. My favorite entree is the filet mignon w the blueberry sauce, a great combo. My husband loves their pork chops and my kids love the Branzino. Mind you it's now Wednesday, in the month of January, which is the slowest time of year out here. I called to reserve a table for 9 and was told that they can only accomodate us between 8-8:30. Not because they're full, but because they prefer not to have large parties during their regular dinner hours. How absurd and rude! They have availabities, but are turning down a large tab because they don't want to do their jobs. It's been years since I've been to the Patio because I had an issue with food and they were not apologenic. I thought I'd give them another try but now I'm done. One of our favorite restaurants in Westhampton. Large restaurant open year round with a huge lively bar. Usually we sit at bar but tonite we sat at a table. Our 3 martinis came out right away filled to the rim. A great way to start a fabulous meal. We started with lumb crab cocktail and the clam chowder. Both were very good. Still, the staff was pleasant and attentive. Tried the crispy Long Island duck -- really well prepared and not as fatty as I had expected. Calamari was good but not a standout. My new test for a bar is ordering a Manhattan and seeing if I get a brandied cherry or a maraschino cherry. Alas, The Patio came down on the wrong side of this one. (It was a maraschino.) Made a reservation thru OpenTable, and when we arrived there were no issues or waiting. A perfect medium, not too casual and not too fancy. Ambiance is cute, cool, but comfortable. Hosts and waiter were all great. Got drinks and they were yummy. Ordered calamari, zucchini chips, baked clams, and prosciutto to start and everyone loved everything! Can't remember what everyone got as a meal but nobody was disappointed at all. Special ravioli with corn and truffle was delish! This Saturday in the middle of winter.. in a quiet off season village in Westhampton.. The Patio had Defying Gravity playing Saturday at 8:30 to midnight.. People dance in this town and it was definately the best spot to be for a great time. While my friends were drinking up.. I was ordering and checking out my favorite soup on the menu... butternut squash... with cinnamon and maple. Light.. frothy if a soup can be that...and terribly delicious. A bit light and sweet... for a butternut squash soup... I think I love it. Took some home for mom. read more

Ravioli was about as good as if you had bought a frozen bag at the grocery store but you get to pay three times the price!!

I found this restaurant on open table and decided to give it a try. It promised a safe dining experience, had great reviews and a menu that sounded really tasty. They really delivered on each point. The restaurant is large with at least 3 rooms for dining and the tables are spread out. At no point did I feel packed in. Outdoor dining is still an option this late in the year and it was still very popular in late October. Their drinks are expensive but strong and tasty. For an appetizer we tried the burrata and tonight's special- sausage and peppers. The burrata was ok but the sausage and peppers dish was a huge hit. The sausage was grilled to perfection with a balsamic glaze on it. The peppers and onions were sweet enough to compliment the sausage perfectly. I enjoyed the house made paperdelle and ate everything on the plate. The ragu was reminiscent of a slow cooked pot roast and the noddles cooked in the ragu sauce with parmigiano on top really made it a perfect pasta dish for all the non red sauce lovers. For dessert I had their version of a lava cake which is cooked to order (takes about ten minutes). The richness of the dark chocolate is balanced nicely with the cool vanilla gelato. I wish I had one more scoop of that gelato. Such a good meal. Will be back. read more

HORRIBLY RUDE AND ARROGANT OWNER. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS! We made the silly mistake of inquiring about a table for 3 at 7 pm on a Tuesday night in August and it was a 5+ minute conversation (if you can call it that) to simply understand what the wait policy was when tables opened up. It was a painful exercise attempting to gain an understanding from the owner who was at the host stand and was so incredibly dismissive, rude AND arrogant I thought for a minute that I must be getting gagged on the "Impractical Jokers" television show, that's how obnoxious he was and what little sense he made. Bizarre way to operate in a service industry especially when COVID caused the restaurant business to suffer simply 12 months ago. As a LI native it is disappointing how inflated this owner's ego was- Apparently there is no policy, rhyme nor reason about the seating procedures on a busy night. He's perfectly fine to insult and turn away business. Must be nice. What's the policy in February when the place is empty ? Is this how locals will be treated then? Do not support this business while there are several other locally owned restaurants who are grateful for your business. We chose to have a delicious meal at Mary's of Speonk instead where the managers were EXTREMELY accommodating on a very busy night with an hour wait. Do not waste your time or money here.
