The Patio is a great spot in the heart of Westhampton. They have a fine dining feel with a simple American/Italian menu. The menu consists of pasta dishes , steaks and a few fish selections. One thing I will say is that it can get very loud here, so if you are looking for a quite intimate meal this is not the place. My family decided to have dinner at the Patio on a random Friday night in February when we happened to be in the area, based on the positive reviews. There was no wait and we were immediately seated. The night we came was pretty quiet, and the staff was polite and attentive. The food was VERY impressive. We really enjoyed the bread they brought out to start off. As for appetizers, we had ordered calamari and shrimp cocktail. Calamari was light and delicious. The shrimp was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. My mother ordered a cocktail beverage ( I don't remember which one exactly) which was ok, but I was expecting better. As for our entree, we ordered the porterhouse steak which was a special for that night. I don't recall how many ounces it was exactly, but it was enough to feed 3 of us, and we all loved it! For dessert we ordered a chocolate lava cake with ice cream, which was small but very well-made. It was just enough to satisfy that sweet craving, if you saved room for dessert. Last night (8/12/20) myself and a friend tried to go for drinks and a few appetizers. We told this to the young man at the door and asked for an inside table. He told us we couldn't go in because we had to order something "substantial" and couldn't split an appetizer. Who splits one appetizer? It was 5pm and not a sole in the restaurant. We wanted a few drinks and a few apps in air conditioning. We could not believe the rudeness and the utter lack of professionalism. I actually worked at the Patio when I was 18 when this young man wasn't even born yet. So we left and went to another restaurant that was happy to serve us and take our money. My husband and I went here last week to celebrate my birthday. We made an early reservation because we weren't sure how busy it would be and we are still leery of eating out in a restaurant. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and taken to our table. Then our waiter came over with a DR Code that linked to their menu. Everyone was great with the distancing and mask wearing. We ordered cocktails and appetizers. Then dinner and dessert. The cocktails were nicely made. For apps we had the baked clams and a salad, both really delicious and well prepared. For dinner the cacio y pepe and the gamberi pasta. Also, so delicious and the portions were nice. They weren't huge as some pasta dishes tend to be. The desserts were yummy too. They did a really nice job under the circumstances with distancing and mask wearing and the food was good as well. We look forward to returning. read more

We ordered take out Mother's Day and we weren't disappointed. In these weird times it's comforting to eat the food that we would want to go out and enjoy.. alas, this hit the spot. We ordered the mushroom risotto (really good portion), fresh cavatelli (broccoli rabe/sausage), and started with the fava bean puree with broccoli rabe (not on the menu/secret menu and one of my fave dishes ever). We were stuffed and happy :) Contactless pick up- it's left on the bar and you sign for it. Oh and love that their wine menu is for takeout too. We grabbed a bottle of the verdicchio. So happy Patio has been able to stay open during covid! This is a great spot to get italian comfort food right in the heart of Westhampton. We ordered the ricotta gnocchi, cacio e pepe, and the cavatelli. All of our dishes were absolutely delicious, but the service was very confusing. We had a few different people come up and ask if we were being helped, and had our drink order taken twice by two different people. Once we got a bottle of wine, they didn't come back to help refill once. I'd like to think things are just different because of covid and maybe they're not supposed to come up to the table as often, because the other times I've come here the service has been nothing short of amazing, which is why I still gave it 4 stars. read more

Yes the patio restaurant now has a patio outdoors for dining! Just home from a perfect dining experience. For medical reasons I needed to dine outside and they accommodated me. Food was excellent. They were able to prepare a dish for my wife that was on a previous menu. The wait staff was great and clearly enjoyed having interaction with the customers. So happy to come to The Patio for our first true dining out experience since the Covid 19 restaurant shutdown. The Patio is currently open for outdoor dining only and they did a wonderful job. While they are currently not taking reservations, we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table for 2 in the courtyard area. All of the staff wore masks and we were required to wear masks until seated at our table. Once seated, we were able to pull up the menu on our phones. But most importantly, the food and service were excellent!!! We started with a salad special that included grilled peaches, and the always excellent fried zucchini and lemon slices. Following that, we enjoyed the pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe and the seared tuna over avocado puree. We had the pleasure of getting takeout from The Patio during the shutdown (which was great), but it is such a pleasure to be able to eat there again!!! read more

Well I went in on a Friday night to the patio and I have never had more terriable service in my life. To start the manager was horriable he could care less that his wait staff was treating us poorly. Well it's Friday Night in the summer. And I along with friends went to The Patio in Westhampton. We were 6 people and restaurant was placing us at a table suited for 10 Told hostess that we would wait at bar for something a bit more intimate to open up. At that point mgr came over and asked my party to leave. He said we were being difficult. Well he did us a favor. I have always felt that The Patio has mediocre food for big prices. True there is not much In Westhampton so I guess that why they feel they can be rude to people, charge them a lot and serve lousy food. Mgr did me a favor. Yes, 5 stars. A very pleasant evening with a wonderful waitress. I wish I had caught her name. My friend and I chose a table in the bar. (I generally like the atmosphere in bar seating better with a small party). We started with drinks and oysters which were tasty. In choosing the main event, I was torn between the gnocchi and ravioli. The sweet waitress suggested halves of each. Best idea yet. You can not go wrong with either, but my friend and I agreed, the gnocchi edged out the ravioli. BTW, my friend ordered the Branzino. It was light and tasty, but as she said, a little dry. Dinner was very good. Drinks were fantastic! We saw the menu the night before when we stopped for drinks, and felt the menu was reasonably priced and decidedly interesting. Dinner was amazing!!! Walked in to a gorgeously lit bar, was kindly greeted by the hostess and staff. Our waiter was extremely professional and had great recommendations of the menu. We ordered House made Pappardelle which was to die for!!!!!!!!! Words cannot describe how delicious this dish was, the meat ( which is cooked overnight til tender to falling apart, the sauce with subtle flavor of red wine ( oh my gosh) and then the homemade pasta! So happy this was recommended by our waiter. Second dish was the steak with Yukon mashed potatoes lightly infused with truffle and sided with the most tasty peppercorn sauce. Being in the Hamptons you're often surrounded by great food and drinks. However, The Patio stood out from the rest! We started off with a few delicious drinks from the friendliest bartender I've ever met, which paired with perfectly seared sea scallops in a butter sauce, started our night on an amazing note. We sampled a variety of dishes on the menu, including the corn ravioli, salmon, and handmade pappardelle, all of which was made to perfection and exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly helpful, the place itself has a great atmosphere and even though there was a good crowd on a Saturday night, our food arrived quickly. I enjoyed my Time in the reserved upper class location. After being here I stick to my motto North shore=assholes South Shore=Drunken fun. Great Band called Defying Gravity was fantastic, the hole place got up and started dancing which gave a nice human feel to the place unlike many other stuffy places with stuffy people. Loved this restaurant! It was on the expensive side but hey you're in the hamptons. Service was great, ambiance was perfect. We had a Caesar salad and then shared the spinach and ricotta ravioli and the filet mignon. Would have been 5 stars but they charged us $5 to split the Caesar (my mistake but I assumed when they said there was a $5 charge for split entrees it meant just entrees and not apps, but felt the waiter still should've mentioned it) and the spinach in the ravioli should've been more finely cut to be to my taste. But overall the positives absolutely outweighed the negatives! Would definitely go back if we were in the area. :) read more

I've been wanting to try this for a year and I was so happy to finally go there last Saturday. This is definitely going to be my go-to place, even when the dreaded Winter hits. My friend and I sat at one of the tables in the bar area and enjoyed our wine/beer and the live band (very good, I must say!) We shared the peach/arugula salad special. It was so creative and very fresh and tasty. For our entrees, I ordered the pork chop, which was enormous. I actually had to send it back b/c it wasn't cooked enough...I mean the thing was easily 5 inches high. The white bean mash was kind of tasteless though, and I could've done w/out the maple syrup, but that WAS how it was written on the menu, so I knew that going into it. My friend ordered the shrimp scampi that was served with fresh linguini--absolutely amazing. I actually tasted that one first b/c I just couldn't resist. Went here on whim before going to the movies. Had a great Yelp rating so in I went. Quiet Sunday night- I was greeted and sat at the bar by the bartender. I chose the butter lettuce wedge salad to start, and it was good. Nicely composed and fresh ingredients. My only gripe is I think they plated and refrigerated the lettuce to save time during service (the leaves of the butter lettuce were stacked perfectly...time consuming). But it's not a busy August night, so made to order would have been nice. Onward- I asked the bartender what his favorite entree was, and he said the homemade pappardelle with braised steak ragu. Wow. Perfectly cooked fat ribbons of pasta with the perfect amount of incredibly tender shredded braised beef. Perfectly seasoned. I cleaned my plate- a rarity. I was also given a little basket of warm bread and-gratefully- room temperature butter. Had to Hustle to catch American Hustle, so I paid my check - salad, pasta, soda-$45 plus tip. May be a bit of a splurge, but I took a chance and it paid off. Nice, friendly efficient service, food prepared with love-- I'll be back! read more

Had date night last night with my bf, 1st time I was there, he used to work there years ago. It was awful. The clams, drowned in wine and had a herb olive oil poured over them no breadcrumbs. My bf had the "roasted duck" with "roasted Brussel sprouts ". The duck was thrown in a fryer and had no meat, the sprouts were boiled not roasted. I had the short ribs that were so salty I couldn't even eat it. The calamari was under seasoned. Had to ask the busser for drink refills, service sucked. They were more interested in the regulars then clients who have never been. Will never go there again. Definitely not worth the price read more

This town was a pit stop on my way to different sectors of the Hamptons and I was very excited to see what "high class" flavor this fancy joint possessed. Upon entry, I instantly liked the atmosphere, it was quietly sophisticated, dimly lit, and provided a nice atmosphere for a date or an intimate setting for partners or friends that just want to relax and enjoy themselves. there was even a band in the corner at the entrance of the restaurant that gave it a warm touch. Now for the food.... I started out with the coconut margarita - it was very weak. For $12, I want to wrinkle my nose at its strength. As an appetizer, I ordered the mussels in a white wine sauce. It looked so promising! But sadly, it lacked that punch of garlick-y flavor that i was looking for. It was mediocre. For the main dish, I ordered the special which was pappardelle with thin slices of tender beef in a red spaghetti sauce. The beef was good. It was tender and juicy. The sauce the pappardelle was sitting in was weak. I expected a hearty chunky thick sauce for this type of pasta but it was indeed very watery and flavor-less. Perhaps I have been spoiled by the cuisines of New York city top chefs, but this experience reminded me that I am very lucky to live in such a wonderful city with so many flavorful options to choose from. read more

What a delightful restaurant and meeting place! After hearing the accolades that Starr Boggs receives and being disappointed by the food, the service, the drinks, the prices and the attitude, it was so refreshing to go to a restaurant where they obviously love what they do and take pride in their product. I have now eaten here four times with different friends each time and every time we are delighted by the food. Westhampton downsizes down in winter. Corcoran and Sotheby's advertise million dollar estates and seasonal rentals that cost as much as a Bentley. The bric-a-brac stores are nearly shuttered, and the restaurants pull down the shades by nightfall. The spacious, The Patio, remains open and hospitable well into the frayed ends of the offseason. My fiance and I plunked down at a tall bar table between services on a Sunday afternoon. Rather than listen to what was unavailable at the time, we were invited to try a 3-course tasting menu (priced at a reasonable $30) or taste several Long Island wines. We were just stopping in for a quick bite as our dog awaited our return, yet the burgers we settled on were satisfying. Almost as tall as they were wide they resembled incapable, fatmen comics from black and white movies. Or an eastern European "cutlet." Our salads were fresh and crisp: mine was a fishy and salty Caeser; hers, a roquette tossed with balsamic. The service had not come to sag from under-use; instead, our waiter was as pleasant and attentive as he might be in June when Manhatanites buzz around like black flies. His recommendation of the Belgian beer, Purple Haze, was as appropriate as the slice of orange with which he garnished it. A double espresso and cappucino were overpriced but fine and then we were off as quick as we came. Generally it is unusual to find solid restaurants in the seasonal Hamptons! This one is a winner. Kid friendly. We had corn ravioli which was ridiculously good. Red snapper was the special, large portion with perfectly crispy skin. No reservation and the host was spot on. Natalie and Sabrina worked well together as a server tag team.
