This was our first stop to town on our family vacation. We hoped to sit on the rooftop, but it was very hot so we sat in the dining room. There were only two or three other tables that were occupied around on a Saturday afternoon. The ambiance was just so so, but the food was good overall. The cinnamon French toast was way too crunchy for my kids liking, the bang bang was actually pretty good, and the beef melt was very good. Overall, we hoped to see the rooftop and see more action on the inside but the food was good.

I wish I remember our waitress' name because we were amazing. The Peacock is definitely a great dinner spot when visiting Charleston. The service and food were top notch. My espresso martini was perfect. I got the chicken sandwich which was great, especially with the sauce that's on it. The fries that it came with are tiny, crispy, and delicious. For dessert we finished with a s'mores lava cake, which as you can guess was incredible.

I LOVE THE PEACOCK! I have never felt more welcomed walking into a restaurant than when I walked into this place dude. Genuinely, some of the nicest people worked there (shoutout Tim #goat). Not to mention the food was incredible. I lowkey am picky so I ordered chicken tenders but they were DELISH The ranch and the honey mustard were super yum and I absolutely recommend getting the parm truffle fries. Every other item we ordered was absolutely five-star worthy. Another perk is that this place is decorated so beautifully, the ambiance is wonderful. If you are looking for a restaurant in Charleston, I definitely 100% recommend The Peacock.

Stopped in for our bach dinner, and the decor and vibes were exactly what we were looking for. The truffle fries are an absolute must. We literally demolished them in a few minutes and they made our whole night. I got the ahi tuna and salmon poke bowl for my entree, which lived up to my expectations. For dessert, we shared the s'mores molten lave cake, which I thought was okay. Service was also great and fast. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner experience.

We came in for an after dinner drink so decided to go upstairs to the second floor lounge. There was live music down stairs. Upstairs it was pretty chill and quiet so easy to chat and lots of comfortable seating. My sister wanted a mint tea and since they didn't have one the bartender added fresh mint leaves to her tea and she really enjoyed it. She loved the espresso martini and the flavor of the smoked pecan liquor. The cranberry fizz was very good. It was a light refreshing drink that had a great blend of flavors, some spice and some sweetness. Both bartenders were great and continued to check on us even when they had a large group come in.

I stopped by here for drinks and an early dinner after a walking tour downtown. Since it was early, there was no wait and plenty of tables to choose from on the roof top. If you are at a rooftop table, you can order food from the bar. We tried several drinks and entrees, all were great! I recommend the truffle fries as an app to share with drinks. There's a small water view from the roof, and a great breeze. It feels like a hidden gem! Looking forward to going back soon.

Pleasantly surprised and will return! Popped in on a whim today and had a great lunch on the roof. Downstairs is cozy and vibe-y, would sit down there for a full meal with friends or in the winter. The rooftop has a great view and easy bar ordering. Parking is easy at the Cumberland garage or other nearby garages. The bartender and hostess were friendly and answered questions. The chicken sandwich was perfectly done - crispy dry and love that it includes a side of fries. Great price point too!

The downstairs restaurant is gorgeous & comfortable Hollywood glam style. I appreciate the combination of the low lighting and lively bar. The tables are also appropriately spaced to maximize capacity and privacy. Our server, V (yes, like the letter) was simply amazing. We had so many questions about the *wonderful* menu and she was so patient and answered all of our questions. She recommended the Cafe Society (Espresso Martini) and seriously; It was one of the best I've ever had. A special drink, no doubt. We also ordered a few martinis not on the menu and they came out tasting just as wonderful. There was 5 of us, so thankfully we were able to try a bunch of dishes! We started with the Charcuterie & Cheese Board, Truffle Fries, and the Fried Green Tomatoes &THE CRAB DIP. You could skip on the Cheese Board as it was very simple, however the fries, fried green tomatoes & crab dip are must haves! We ordered two crab dips! For entrees, the market catch of the day/week was a scallop & risotto dish that the girls were drooling over while they gobbled it right up. We also had the smash burger, steak frites & clam/shrimp ciopinno. The beef dishes were good but the shrimp ciopinno and market catch were the shining stars! This was also the best service we had our entire time in Charleston. However, beware of the 3 flights of stairs to get to the roof top that is nice but not the same caliber as the first floor restaurant- reservations recommended.

A little disappointed with The Peacock. They're known for their cocktails, but we came for the full experience and while the food was actually quite good, the drinks fell flat, especially in presentation. What really made the night was our server, Martin. Martin brought such great energy and truly elevated the entire experience!

Our party enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. We arrived early and had cocktails on the second floor, which was a great way to start the evening. The ambiance is a total vibe, and the service was excellent. We visited during Restaurant Week, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I'd definitely recommend ordering the crab dip as a starter. An A+ dining experience overall!

The Peacock on East Bay Street is everything you want in a Charleston dining experience -- and then some. From the moment you walk through the door, you're transported into a world of stunning décor that perfectly blends art deco with modern sophistication. Now, the food. The farmers salad is a standout -- fresh, vibrant, and packed with wholesome ingredients that somehow manage to feel both indulgent and nourishing at the same time. It's the kind of salad you actually crave. And the truffle fries? Oh my goodness -- perfectly crispy, generously truffle-kissed, and absolutely impossible to stop eating. Hands down some of the best fries in Charleston. The service matched every bite -- attentive, warm, and genuinely hospitable without being overbearing. The staff made us feel like regulars from the first visit. The Peacock isn't just a restaurant -- it's an experience. I cannot recommend it enough!

The Peacock is a must-visit in Charleston--gorgeous multi-level space with a rooftop view that can't be beat. I tried the green beans (my new favorite appetizer) and the truffle fries, both perfectly seasoned and addictive. The vibe is upscale but fun, with friendly, attentive service. Whether you're here for cocktails, dinner, or just the view, it's an experience worth repeating.

One tip: sit at the bar if you can, the set up is stunning especially for taking photos! The cocktail menu was moderately extensive with two full pages of complex and simple cocktails. Honestly, it was so difficult to choose what drink to get because I wanted to get everything on the menu. The bartenders were so attentive and talented - their implementation of each cocktail was even better than the menu descriptions. Not only were the drinks delicious but also beautifully presented. Finds your table, if you arrive early for a reservation we had luck with them seating us and he says a kind goodbye as we left each time. Nice list of 3 mocktails so even if not consuming alcohol one can look to play the part at the table and enjoy the flavor notes of a well made cocktail. The first meal we had was a bit of a work/get together meal. We ordered an assortment of items off of the menu and created a more tapas menu. The charcuterie board we picked the cheeses for and it was lovely. All as expected and quite surprised to find a cheddar I enjoyed. Came with some grapes, figs, nuts, honey and I think mustard. Glazed carrots were phenomenal. Heartily enjoyed the beet salad and thought the presentation was quite pretty. Lamb lettuce wraps are alright. Not my favorite of all the dishes served but delivered as promised, nicely cooked and presented. Spouse really liked the lamb wraps and were a stand out dish to them. Meatballs are excellent truly great texture and flavor. Escargot was a fun take on a classic dish. Finished with a unique strudel in its presentation it was quite pleasant. Spouse liked the peanut butter chocolate dessert. For brunch, I had the carrot ginger soup. Which I must say was a total delight. The soup had the hallmark texture and base flavor of the carrot ginger but it had a beautiful breath of savory and some heat seasoning wise to it. It was quite an elevated soup and heartily enjoyed! I followed the carrot soup with a French toast. I am all for softly scrambled eggs but the French toast was a touch undercooked. (I did not let the restaurant know or give them the chance to make right. I regularly eat soft boiled eggs and soft scrambled so I felt comfortable with consuming them.) Strawberries were ripe and tasty. The whipped cream was gorgeous in thickness and flavor. One in law had the caesar salad with croutons and grilled chicken. Their bowl was left clean so while they are not the talkative of sorts they did seem to enjoy it. Ordered a baguette with butter. Unfortunately the butter never made it to the table but the baguette was enjoyed. Spouse had the Azur burger with the side of tapas style potatoes. All was cooked properly to temperature and texture. Flavor and taste as promised. Wasn't their favorite dish at Azur as we had tried so many lovely dishes a few evenings before. But it did deliver on what was represented in the menu. We sat at the indoor bar, and our bartender was great. The drinks themselves were really good. My Hugo Spritz was excellent, and so was the Silk Sheets. They clearly put a lot into the cocktail program, with tons of syrups, ingredients, and more elaborate drinks on the menu. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow, and it seemed very clear that this was not our bartender's fault. The indoor bartender was handling the guests sitting at her bar, service tickets, and drinks for the pool. Meanwhile, the outdoor bartender seemed to have very little going on. Granted, it was over 98 degrees outside, but the workload just seemed really uneven. When we first arrived, it was literally us and one other gentleman at the bar. He wanted an espresso martini or something similar, but apparently the coffee bar had already been shut down for the day. I don't remember the exact reason. They did make it happen for him, which was nice, but it also meant our bartender had yet another thing she had to go out of her way to figure out. What made the wait especially frustrating was that the bar was not busy at the time. It took us around 10 to 15 minutes just to order our drinks, and she didn't actually get a full bar until about 3 to 5 minutes after we finally received them. So this wasn't a situation where she was overwhelmed by a packed bar. She was running out of ice, waiting on things she needed, handling pool and service tickets, and trying to work around a setup that just did not seem efficient. It honestly started to feel almost obnoxious to want to order another round because you could see how much unnecessary work went into making each drink. Again, that is not a criticism of the bartender. She was great and seemed to be doing everything she could. The issue was the setup and flow behind the bar. If you are going to have such an extensive cocktail program, with that many syrups, ingredients, and specialty drinks, the bartenders need to be set up in a way that allows them to actually execute it efficiently. The atmosphere was nice, the drinks we had were great, and I would absolutely give this place another chance. I just hope they figure out a better system because the bartender should not have to work that hard to overcome the setup.
