The classes range from 30-60 minutes, I believe, and they even have ShredKids which is a kids section in the studio for parents! I thought that was such a thoughtful addition to their studio. Also, the place is NICE. It's literally spotless and they have everything you need and more from a fitness studio. They have private showers and bathrooms and they were all so clean. Parking is right in front of the store, too. The instructors and team here are everything. Steph and Ashlee are beyond incredible. Supportive, energetic, kind, hospitable - they truly were meant to be doing this and they're what differentiates Shred415 from other fitness places. This woman owned business totally rocks, and if you're looking for a kickin' workout - you've found one here!

Staff has such positive and uplifting attitudes, and I love that it is women-led. You can tell by the fact they have a kids section in the studio for parents who are working out! I really enjoy that they have varied workouts now, some that are more walking/incline focused with weights, some that are formatted the same but with more recovery, I just wish those were also an hour long too! I used to take Barry's classes a ton when I lived in the city, but since I've found Shred415 it's my favorite - and I've now have taken almost 150 classes! Their class structure is very similar to a Barry's workout - their structure is 15 treadmill/15 floor/15 treadmill/15 floor, but the instructors also get creative with incorporating different types of equipment for different timed segments. My favorite right now has to be their 45 min strength class - Addie is amazing with form advice and programming! I also miss Colleen! Steph and Ashlee are excellent instructors and a fantastic duo, and I really admire how they run their business. They truly do so much - live DJ workouts, perks for special occasions, collaborations, putting different instructors on with opportunities, it's just really genuine and you can tell!

A membership costs around $80 a month and they do not offer or sell "day passes." Positives - not too crowded in the morning and virtually dead on the weekends, but evenings and lunchtime has some folks in there. - has all of your major pieces of equipment and tools. - it seems since it's small, not crowded, and has everything, my workouts are much more quickly executed than doing it at the larger gym (LifeTime). - has a certified trainer there some of the time and you can hire her for personal training. - sometimes they offer night classes for spinning. This has gone in and out over the few years I've been a member. - parking and getting into the gym is no fuss and very close - shower rooms are private, have lockable doors, complete with shower, sink, countertop, shampoo, bodywash, etc., although half the time the faucets don't work. - tv's on the treadmills and steppers...and they usually work - they usually have apples (but only apples) out Negatives - there are lockers, but you can't lock them, even if you have your own padlock, so you have to carry your phone, wallet, and keys with you. - faucet in the men's bathroom and most of the shower rooms do not work half the time (been like that for years)...usually the women's bathroom faucet works. I'm only talking about the sink faucets, not the shower water. - takes awhile for broken equipment to get fixed properly (e.g., the elliptical had been sounding like it's about to fall apart for a few months now). I think they tend to take action only when hotel guests say something. - no steam room or sauna - they have towels, but they sometimes smell pretty rough, like they didn't get washed well. Sometimes old makeup on them.

So far I've taken zumba and pilates classes and loved them. They also offer personal training and the machines look really nice. Such a bonus it's located within five minutes of my home. Even if you have to drive a bit to try them out, it's totally worth it. Skip the crazy parking and screaming kids at the big places and come try out Olympus.

I've been a member of this Planet Fitness for a while, and I honestly don't know where to start…read more The final straw was the move. The gym literally moved next door. Not across town. Not to another city. Next door. Somehow this required shutting down for an entire week, and even then they still couldn't get the opening date right. Members were told the gym would open on May 31. Their Instagram posted that they were "NOW OPEN." So I drove there expecting to work out, only to find the doors locked and signs saying they wouldn't actually open until June 4. How does that even happen? If you're going to close a gym and disrupt everyone's training schedule, at least communicate accurately. A lot of people take their fitness seriously. Some of us structure our entire week around training. Closing for a week is already frustrating enough. Posting that you're open when you're clearly not is just ridiculous. And honestly, the move wasn't exactly bringing us to some state-of-the-art facility either. This gym somehow manages to have more cardio equipment than an airport terminal while still lacking basic strength training equipment. There are treadmills everywhere. Ellipticals everywhere. Bikes everywhere. But if you actually want to lift heavy? Good luck. No power racks. No squat racks. No proper bench stations. Just Smith machines lined up like they're supposed to replace everything. The dumbbells only go up to 75 pounds, which might be fine for beginners, but anyone who has been lifting seriously for a while is going to hit that ceiling fast. The layout makes absolutely no sense. Machines are scattered around seemingly at random. It's like someone dumped all the equipment onto a floor plan and called it a day. You'll find yourself walking laps around the gym just trying to finish a workout because nothing is grouped together logically. Maintenance has also been an issue for what feels like forever. Broken machines stay broken. Cable machines feel rough and neglected. Some of the cables sound like they're fighting for their lives every time they're used. Equipment is frequently dirty. The water fountain has been closed for months at various points. Imagine paying a monthly membership to a gym and not being able to use a basic water fountain. Then there's the cleanliness. I've been in warehouses that smelled better. Some days the smell hits you the second you walk through the door. A gym doesn't need to smell like a luxury hotel, but it shouldn't smell like something died behind the treadmills either. The famous lunk alarm might be one of the most annoying ideas ever invented, but somehow this location found a way to make it worse. During the closing period it seemed like they were setting it off constantly. Nothing motivates you to work out quite like hearing a loud alarm randomly blasting through the building. What frustrates me most is that none of these issues are new. Members have been dealing with broken equipment, maintenance problems, limited free weights, and questionable organization for a long time. The week-long closure and false opening announcement just highlighted how poorly things seem to be managed. I understand moving a gym takes work. I understand delays happen. What I don't understand is why members were told one thing, social media said another, and reality was something completely different. A gym's entire purpose is to provide a place for people to train consistently. Instead, this place managed to interrupt everyone's routine, communicate poorly, and reopen with many of the same problems that existed before. At this point, it feels like Planet Fitness put more effort into finding space for cardio equipment than creating an actual strength-training environment. One star because at least the parking lot exists.
