Whether taking our dogs (all four!) for a walk to the park before the sun was too warm (this is June so we're talking 7-ish am), letting everyone sleep with her (she does very affordable overnight stays), snuggling with the kids while hanging out (she stayed in our pull out ikea bed which sucks so that all the dogs could sleep with her even thouh we offered her our bedroom with a more comfy bed), or doing backyard agility with our corgi mix (our corgi mix loves agility), Alicia made sure that our pets had great fun and lived the high life while we were on vacation. I felt so comfortable leaving everyone in her hands that didn't worry about them at all, which is very atypical for me. She kept us apprised with daily updates and photos of the kids enjoying themselves. She also kept a journal of all their daily activities for us when we got home! She took great care of our house as well; our birdfeeders, plants and general homestead. When we came back home, our house was cleaner than when we'd left it! I know this is not typically part of a petsitters service but it is so nice to come home from vacation to everything nice and tidy! Somehow, he seems younger: more energy, more interest in his surroundings, and noticeably more alert. On his walk, he had a new spring in his step (he's usually stiff after sleeping most of the day) and was focused and eager to move forward. He typically barks at strangers, but this time showed no interest--and dare I say, he even seemed better trained. At home, he wasn't food-focused in his behavior, and I truly believe he thinks he's still going to get the same level of activity and stimulation he enjoyed at Dogtopia.
